  Cleaning up the database?
Posted by: Spark - 2010-03-28, 06:56 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Is there a good way to clean up the database? It seems, the bigger it gets, the more error prone it becomes.

Would be nice if the database was split from the config side, and the program side (recordings).

Once it becomes too big, then it doesn't start recording shows when it should, and I guess that is because there are errors in the database file.

  LiveTV not working properly
Posted by: Heezy - 2010-03-28, 05:19 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (45)

Hi,

I started my thread here. But as it apparently has nothing to do with MVP, I'm moving the thread to this forum.

Quote:LiveTV is suddenly working... (partially). I've discovered that playing LiveTV on GBPVR after a cold boot gives static on PC en PCH. But when I opened Windows Media Center to test the TV signal, which worked, afterwards LiveTV on GB-PVR worked on PC and PCH (inferior quality though :-(), but only on the last channel I used in Media Center. Other channels didn't work.

Is this a driver issue?

Thanks!

gbrecord and windows 7 with PVR-350
Posted by: pbelcl - 2010-03-28, 01:06 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hi Folks,
i used gbrecord for a long time whit tv-browser and wintvcapgui to record my videos.
my hardware was 2 pvr-350 cards and it worked perfect with windows xp.

now i changed to windows 7 and now gbrecord does not work anymore!
i user the same configuration as in windows xp but all files i record are not readable with any program!
my hardware and drivers are installed properly because windows media center makes wonderful records with this configutation.
so i am a little bit desperate because i cant get gbrecord up and running with windows 7.

is there anybody can give me a hint or tipp to solve my problem?

No Live TV - Just black screen
Posted by: jdconnel - 2010-03-28, 02:20 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

I just upgraded my PC, and re-installed everything.
Now I no longer get live T.V. from the program.
I did a complete copy over of the setups too, and everything seems to be where is should be (or at least where it was before).

Attached are my log files.

Is there a way to play video files directly, without enabling and using libraries?

Three out of five recordings failed?
Posted by: bcchgeneral - 2010-03-27, 09:27 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I set GB PVR to record five movies in the last week. Two seem to have come out successfully, but three have much shorter recordings than they should.

These three seem to have failed:
The Matrix Revolutions (2003): Should have total recording time of 150min + 30min padding, but file only has 141min.
M-Sin City: Should have total recording time of 158min + 30min padding, but file only has 10min.
M-Confessions of a Dangerous Mind: Should have 135min + 30min padding, but file is tiny.

I've zipped and attached logs. I don't have a clue why some of the recordings have botched up and others have succeeded. Would love to hear any thoughts you might have - thank you!

(I'm running GB PVR v1.4.7 on W7.)

Can´t get web server to work, how to test?
Posted by: andcar - 2010-03-27, 02:55 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (18)

I have turned on the web server on the default port to access the web scheduling.
But when I try to access it with http://localhost:7647/gbpvr/index.aspx i get no answer. I am doing it on the same computer as GBPVR is installed on so there hould not be any issues with firewall settings and so on, or?

I have used gbpvr for several years with the web server, but after replacing the computer I can´t get it to work.

Is there any way to see if the web server is upp and running?
