I'm looking for a solution to display metadata / thumbnails for downloaded YT vids in NextPVR.
Right now I can DL the vid in MP4. The metadata and thumbnail is embedded in the MP4 file. NextPVR can play the vids great. I would like to see the imbedded info on the videos screen.
I tried the --import option on NextTool and that didn't work. I think that I will have to extract the metadata into a separate XML file so that NextPVR can pick it up, but there a lots of vids, so if I go this route I would like to easily translate the MP4 meta tags to the tags that that NextPVR uses.
HDHR -> NPVR on Synology NAS 920+ (docker)
Client is Kodi with NPVR add-on on NVIDA Shield.
HDHR and NAS connection via ethernet
NAS and NVIDIA Shield connection via ethernet over MoCa with speeds tested via iPerf at approx 800 Mpbs
Issue:
When playing livetv from HDHR channel sources, I am getting fairly constant pausing during playback. It happens frequently, and the pause is often for a few seconds... and then video resumes by fast-forwarding to the current time before playing normally. As it fast-forwards quickly to begin playing real-time again, I can see that the stream is intact... just paused for those moments. This issue has not presented itself on IPTV channels which are streamed via an Internet source, only on HDHR (local) channels.
I'm not sure what additional information will be helpful to help me troubleshoot. I am new to NPVR and Kodi... so I'll admit my understanding of the various config options is limited.
Trying to move from WMC to NextPVR and have everything mostly working, but can't get recordings to play properly in NextPVR.exe Windows client. Recordings are OTA from HDHomeRun Flex 4K, MPEG2 for normal channels and HEVC with audio transcoded to AC3 on the ATSC 3.0 channels. Installed the latest 6.1.1 on Windows 11 22H2, installed LAV 0.77.1 that has both 32 and 64-bit, and even copied the install.bat files from the 32-bit portable zip download and ran them to make sure 32-bit LAV was registered. Recordings play "choppy" and audio is nowhere near in sync. Recordings play fine in Windows Media Center, so I am baffled.
Uidroid on Fire stick and Chromecast Google TV works, as well as Roku, but no fast-forward is a critical missing piece on those clients for me. The Kodi PVR client failed wouldn't play anything for me. Hopefully I can find some client where fast-forward works. Would love to finally get off WMC.
Hello,
First off let me say GREAT JOB on this ver of Nlite. Been waiting a long time for this.
I do not know if other have this issue but I have noticed a few times when I exit out of watching a channel it just hangs. I have to close out of NLite by pressing the X box to close the program.
Is there a way of changing t he font within the program guide? Not as quite as clear and crisp on the big screen. If not I can live with it.
When I go full screen It leaves the bottom task bar and the upper bar viewable. Is there a way to not see them?
I just uninstalled Kodi v19 on my machines and let the Microsoft Store install Kodi. Surprisingly, it installs the Nexus v20 version of Kodi. Wasn't expecting that. Only issue so far that I have found is that the NextPVR channel numbers are not those from the backend even though the option is enabled in the System/PVR/Channels selection. I have uninstalled NextPVR and re-installed from scratch, but it doesn't matter. The channels numbers always stay in numeric order no matter what the channels options are. I have done this upgrade on two Windows 11 machines so far and the results are still the same. If you want / need logs from Kodi, you will have to tell me how to obtain them. The Event Log system option is always empty no matter what I select there. Thanks in advance.
I was watching a channel (STZEHD) on IPTV. A movie was starting that I wanted to record, so I pressed record as the movie was playing (I am using Kodi LiveTV). As soon as the movie started recording, the playback started looping over and over again the same 10-ish second segment. I ended up canceling the recording and then it still looped, so I changed channels and went back to STZEHD and it started to play normal. I have two IPTV accounts, and they are allowed only one connection each. I believe the looping may be a result of connection resets as the IPTV provider is seeing two different connections from the same account. I have the "max connections" set to 1 in the device settings. What am I doing wrong here?
Earlier today I had to reset windows and now I get some channels where it boots me back to the program guide window after resetting windows.
any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thank you
Bruce
Just recently my NextPVR is not playing video from my HDHomeRun mcard tuners.
System is WIN 10. Has worked no problem fine for many years. Upgraded to NextPVR ver 5 many months ago and everything worked just fine (playback, recording, etc). In the HDHomeRun app all channels play perfectly.
I first noticed in NextPVR client in Kodi 19.4 that no video shows up when selecting a channel a couple of days ago.
Tried my Emby client and same result. Zeroed in on the NextPVR server and sure enough no video there. When trying to switch to a channel a blank screen shows up without audio.
I did read through numerous threads and did install the LAV filters but no change. Not sure on what to configure.
By the way my HDHomeRun OTA tuner works just fine in NextPVR and through to the Emby and Kodi clients.
Attached is the log from startup.
2023-01-14 11:38:26.094 is where I try a channel from the HDHomeRun OTA tuner. success in getting video and audio after about 10 seconds.
At 2023-01-14 11:39:06.841 is where I then try channel 780 from the HDHomeRun cable tuners. No video.
