Ok, I have a doozie of a question,
I need to update the channels list/EPG within NextPVR after making changes in my online editor. Is there a way to update the list without deleting then reimporting the list in NextPVR?
Currently NextPVR uses the URL of my online editor and when I make a change online it does not update NextPVR the next time I do a epg update.
Please advise.
Thank you for your time.
Bruce

Save pre, post padding for each channel to get correct timing for each channel. And save the settings to stop timing errors and speed up setting recordings.
example: channel 1 pre padding 1 minute post padding 1 minute
All my TV recordings (via Emby and its Next PVR plugin) during the evening of 2023-01-07 failed. An earlier recording made in the afternoon succeeded, as have all subsequent recordings. I don't know what was different about the load and/or usage of the system (Windows 11) that evening.
I think "C:\Program Files\NextPVR\NextPVRService.exe" starts the web server (http://localhost:8866), however, that is a guess from me.
If i go to "Services" in Windows 10 - The Status for "NextPVR Service" is blank.
If i manually tell Windows to run “NextPVR Service", i get the following error:-
Windows could not start the NextPVR Service service on Local Computer Error 193:0xc1
I was using Version: 5.2.7.220410
I upgraded to 6.1.1.221106 unfortunately upgrading to the latest version (as of Jan 2023) it did not fix it.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
All of the Wiki help seems to be for much older versions of NextPVR, prior to the web interface.
Info - everything was working perfectly as of 7 days ago.
Running 6.1.1 -- When I go into "Settings" , select "Devices & Channels" I can use the menu options across the top as normal. However the left side vertical menu options do nothing -- when I hover the mouse over the menu options they all show the same link destination in the bottom left of the page-- localhost:8866/settings.html# All the menu options across the top display the correct corresponding "targets". Any ideas?
I'm trying to add a new atsc 3.0 tuner but I can't get into the submenu to do this. Any ideas??
when adding my IPTV provider I get the following error ""Failed to download channel list: The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request."" this provider works fine on all other IPTV players. I tried another provider and it worked fine. I am using the import using XC option.
Hi, Im moving my setup to a new PC and wonder if there is an easy guide to follow.
1) My library paths will stay the same as I am using a mapped network share (P: drive). My current server is on the latest version of NextPVR
2) I'm moving the tuners from old backend server to the new (2 x Quad DVBT2 and 1 x Twin DVBS)
3) Old server is Win10 - 2H22 and new one is Win11 - 2H22
4) I'm combining two old PCs (one was Plex server and one NextPVR backend server) onto a single box (HP Z4 Workstation). Plex is already done without any problems
Is it as simple as installing NextPVR and the tuners on the new server, stopping the service and then copying the "C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data" folder onto the new server or is there more involved (any registry keys etc...)
Martin, Here is my test script with timestamps regarding Scenario1 from my post in the Windows Forum. Attached are the logs. Also below is the details of Scenario1. Scenario 1 -A recording is active on the server -A user starts one of the clients on client device, navigates to a channel and selects the channel -The behaviour is different for the different clients -Android Client: no error, just a black screen -UIClient (CCGTV) Error: ERROR_CODE_IO_BAD_HTTP_STATUS -UIClient (Browser) Error: no error, just a black screen -WebClient Error: No tuner was available for the requested channel. -Windows Client: Unable to find available capture device
Test Script -22:18 on WebClient started recording on channel 801
-22:19 on UIdroid navigated via guide to channel 1231 and requested to “Watch” -Error on UIdroid: ERROR_CODE_PARSING_CONTAINER_UNSUPPORTED (different than the error recorded in Scenario1. Likely due to the fact that I installed the latest version of uidroid (v1.6.12) just prior to this testing) -Selected Back button and the error disappeared and I was returned to Guide -22:22 on UIdroid navigated via guide to channel 1234 and requested to “Watch” -Error on UIdroid: ERROR_CODE_PARSING_CONTAINER_UNSUPPORTED -Selected Back button and the error disappeared and I was returned to Guide -22:24 on WebClient, cancelled recording -22:26 on UIdroid navigated via guide to channel 1236 and requested to “Watch” -successfully changed channel as requested Thanks Greg
