  Sigmacom
Posted by: RoadRanger - 2010-03-12, 09:45 PM - Forum: Hardware - No Replies

I have a "Sigmacom HDTV 5 USB V1" and unfortunately the company is kaput. Anyways it does QAM but I can't seem to get it working with GBPVR. I have this in my bda.ini:
[Sigmacom HDTV 5 USB V1]
TUNING_TYPE=ATSC
TUNING_SPECIAL=2
FILTER_TUNER=GS USB BDA ATSC Tuner/Demod
FILTER_CAPTURE=GS USB Transport Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

I've tried various "TUNING_SPECIAL=" numbers (plus deleting that line) but it just doesn't pick up any channels Sad. Maybe the BDA driver is ATSC only? It does analog/ATSC/QAM with its own software but doesn't pick up all the virtual channel mappings properly Sad. My filtercheck.log :

  Change recording directory
Posted by: OrakelJos - 2010-03-12, 09:38 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (14)

Is there an easy way to change the recording directory with all existing recordings? Present directory i.e. E:\MyPVR, new directory D:\My Recordings.

One solution which does comes to my mind:
- export recording database;
- stop recording service;
- edit the recording dump xml file with search and replace;
- import this file;
- move all recordings to new directory;
- change recording path in GBPVR;
- restart GBPVR.

The database will now contain double entries but these will automaticly be deleted because the recordings in the "old" directory can not be found.

Has anybody an easier and/or better solution and does my idea realy work? Who has done something like this?

  Live-TV works but Recordings are blank with audio
Posted by: jziggy - 2010-03-12, 06:51 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

I have a Windows 7 (64bit) system with a Hauppauge HVR-1250MCE installed and the live TV works great but when I try to record anything the recordings are video blank but the audio is intact. I have tried various Video Decoder settings and these work the best for me. Some other settings was cause the live tv to lockup and only have video.

  2 cards & two STB blasters possible?
Posted by: collin - 2010-03-12, 04:45 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (11)

I have searched the forums and have not found a definitive answer on this. I have wasted hours trying to get my problematic hvr-2250 going and am now pondering dumping it and going with something more reliable and natively support in GBPVR. Has anyone used two PVR-150s with an IR blaster in each to control two STBs? Is the only option to use a third party blaster and not use the built in Hauppauge blaster? Are there any other issues that I should know about with using two Hauppauge cards and recording from two set top boxes? Thank you all for any help or advice you can provide!

  Missing a MUX on DVB-T (UK Freeview)
Posted by: philcooling - 2010-03-12, 12:41 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I've just moved and am trying to setup GB-PVR to recieve the DVB-T signal (aka Freeview UK) at my new house but I appear to be missing an entire MUX.

I get the signal from the Sandy Heath transmitter near Bedford and I can recieve all the available channels on my TV, but MUX B (the BBC Four/Cbeebies one) is simply missing. I've tried scanning for channels on the specific transmitter and also tried using "All Regions". I've also done a manual scan for the specific frequency (842kHz) but to no effect.

The only thing I have noticed on the UKFree.tv page is that MUX B is on channel 67 and the others are in the 20s & 40s and that a Wideband aerial is needed to recieve them all, but since I can get this MUX on my TV can I assume that my aerial is OK?

What can I do to fix this? Are there any troubleshooting or diagnostic steps I can perform which will help you help me?

  One show records but none of the others do.
Posted by: thezfunk - 2010-03-12, 03:36 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (16)

So, I have several shows set to record the season. Only one (Red Green, PBS) actually completes. The rest say they have completed and the folders are created but there are no actual files created. Not only that but when I go to 'Recordings' and then select the show and select the episode and look at the time recorded it will say 6:00pm - 5:59pm or 8:00am - 7:59am. Why would this happen? I use schedulesdirect and the guide looks correct. It matches up fine with live TV.

Tell me what info you need to help diagnose. I have HDHomeRun.

  HVR-2250 setup issue
Posted by: collin - 2010-03-12, 01:46 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I have replaced my PVR-150 with an HVR-2250 and have been unable to get any kind of live TV in GB-PVR since setting up the new card. I ran HWclear to remove all old PVR-150 drivers and apps, and have installed latest drivers for the 2250. I've set up two sources in Config, one as Card #1 and the second as card #2. My issue is I only get a black screen followed by a blue screen. My receivers are set top boxes and I do get a picture if I go through Windows Media Center(shudder) setup, so I know the card is working to some degree. Anyone gone through this mess before, any ideas?

  HTC USB XS Live TV works, recordings are 0 bytes
Posted by: fagmxli - 2010-03-11, 10:43 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Hi,

I'm trying to use a Cinergy HTC USB XS with gb-pvr 1.4.7 and with a lot of searching in this forum I managed to watch DVB-C live tv.

But when I start a recording, the created files are always empty (0 bytes).

I hope someone can help me here. The logfiles are attached.

  Update broke Popcorn hour
Posted by: Mr. Camaro - 2010-03-11, 10:28 PM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (15)

I have had everything working with my popcorn hour for quite some time. I've had a few small issues and saw there was an update to mvpmc at the link below. So I decided to upgrade.

http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=3...ostcount=1

I ran the exe, but did not remember my mac id number. I read that if I was just updating I didn't need to worry about that, so I didn't type anything in for the mac id and ran the update. Everything installed without errors but after the update I could get to the GBPVR menus fine but when I went to play something everything just went black. I thought maybe I should have entered the mac id so I looked it up, ran the update again, and this time added the mac id. Now I can't get to the gbpvr menus anymore. It just goes black before it gets to the gbpvr menu. I looked in the logs, but I don't seem to get any, it looks like it locks up before it can generate anything.

Running your checking utility I get:

Code:
Checking for mvpmc share on SERVER MVPMC D:\shares\MVPMC Folder for Popcorn Hour Checking GB-PVR.html links D:\shares\MVPMC Folder for Popcorn Hour \GB-PVR.html not found MAC GB-PVR Installed C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\ WebServerEnabled true WebServerNMTStreamingEnabled true WebServerPort 7647 The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found. Checking NMT Version 01-17-091202-15-POP-402-000 Checking NMT Display 720p 60Hz Calling NMT Source SERVER:mvpmc smb://SERVER/mvpmc Username: Password Length: 0 Movies smb://SERVER/Movies Username: Password Length: 0

There seems to be a problem with GB-PVR.html
but the file exists at D:\shares\MVPMC\GB-PVR.html
and seems to be fine.

Any ideas on what to try next?
