  Version of DvbToXMLTV for NZ's DVB-t MHEG-5
Posted by: MCEabused - 2010-03-15, 10:56 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (8)

A version of sub's DvbToXMLTV for NZ's DVB-T to hack out the EPG from the MHEG-5 data stream would be excellent, especially in the wake of the weekend's takedown notices by Sky NZ to EPG xml hosting web sites.
It would save having to buy a dish and DVB-S card purely for an epg and keep the Media PC from needing to access the internet at all.

I know it's a big ask thou.Smile

Thanks

  GBPVR Lockup On Live TV
Posted by: skycyclepilot - 2010-03-15, 10:02 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (10)

I've been having problems on and off with live TV locking up a few seconds after I start it. Also, on playback, there is an occasional stuttering of the audio.

I've worked with the ffdshow codec, and certain combinations solve one problem, or the other, but not both.

Any ideas? Any suggestions of a better codec to use?

I'm running Windows 7 x64, and the card in question is an HVR2250. The system is a Quad Core Intel with 8 GB DDR3 RAM, and dual 10,000 RPM RAID0 hard drives.

  0 byte recording
Posted by: lemming - 2010-03-15, 06:30 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (11)

Hi all

My Dad rang to query a show he had recorded on his HTPC wouldn't play. Turned out to be a 0 byte recording. Is at this stage an isolated incident (lots of other shows record OK) and a few days ago so probably can't supply logs (??).

Machine has just been rebuilt from Win 7 RC to Home premium release, is running GB-PVR 1.4.7 with a pair of HVR1600 cards for NZ freeview DVB-T.

Show that failed was on Prime.

Is there any generic causes / settings I can change. I know this issue pops up on the forums from time to time, but thought it was more of a historical issue??

Any help appreciated Smile

  Adding a second card questions
Posted by: Ifixcomputers - 2010-03-15, 05:13 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hi guys,

I am having trouble setting a second capture card. I recently added a second HVR 1600 card to my computer(it already has a HVR 1600).

I've setup the second card but I'm finding it's duplicating the channels in the GBPVR TV Guide. I'm using schedules direct for my guide and I've downloaded the guide and mapped it just like the first HVR 1600 Card (it mirrors the settings of the first card).

I think I've setup the second capture source wrong but I'm wondering what they are suppose to be.

Should I be downloading the EPG guide again or is there any other settings the card should be?

  Timing Out After Logon Screen
Posted by: persim - 2010-03-15, 02:30 PM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - Replies (3)

I just updated my host computer and laptop to win 7. I believe I have setup everything proper in the firewall and router. The host machine works fine using the localhost address but when i try to logon using the laptop, ip address, the logon screen appears but then will timeout when I try to log on. If I wait awhile and refresh it will bring me into the menu fine but when I try click something it will timeout again. Any ideas I could try?

PC client 15sec. of live TV only
Posted by: Elmo Putney - 2010-03-15, 08:18 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (11)

Over the last week or so I've been tidying up after a fresh install of Windows 7 to replace XP on my server. Just about the only remaining issue I've now got is that live TV on my man cave pc (also win7 but x64) will only give about 15 seconds before it throws me out to the main menu. If I pause in those 15 seconds and let the buffer build up a bit it seems more reliable. The logs don't tell me a lot:

Code:
2010-03-15 06:46:14.724 VERBOSE [7] Received request to stop livetv: 4

then:
Code:
2010-03-15 06:46:14.734 VERBOSE BDARecorder::StopRecording()

I'm pretty sure the shares on the server are ok, as I can create new files in them from the client. Where do I go from here, perhaps antivirus?

I've attached the server logs....is there any benefit in also uploading the client logs?

  Help please
Posted by: Waynesm - 2010-03-15, 01:09 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

All weekend I have used my Nova Usb2 Dvb-S setup with no problems.
Now, today, I have no reception and a rescan lists no signal.
I have checked the input of the device with a Dick Smith satellite finder and can hear the signal.
Logs attached.
Appreciate any advice.
Thanks in advance.

  conflict problem
Posted by: dspdrew - 2010-03-14, 10:11 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

When you have a conflict is there any other detail as to exactly what is conflicting with it? I had a conflict and thought it looked pretty obvious what was conflicting so I removed that recording, but it still keeps showing a conflict. There are only 2 shows being recorded at that time slot and I have 2 sources. What could be the problem?

Problems with recording service in Windows 7
Posted by: tmrt - 2010-03-14, 10:08 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

After hibernation, wakeup and restart of the recording service pvrx2 and GB-PVR tray fail to connect with the recording service. There is an error in the log file (attached). Any suggestions? I have tried to disable the firewall already with no success.

  mdapi, which version?
Posted by: bond007 - 2010-03-14, 09:06 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Hi,
I have been using gbpvr for about 7 months now, using mdapi with wincsc. I got mdapi from http://sourceforge.net/projects/mdapifilter/ and use the latest version, but it appears to still have the bug that causes an error when it is closed (error appears when gbpvr closes or when mdapi shuts down). This means no sleep, hybernate etc, as it will crash requiring gbpvr to be restarted.
My question, which version should i use so that mdapi doesnt crash?

thanks
