Uk Mendip Digital Switch Over Information
Posted by: Lao Pan - 2010-03-01, 06:23 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (22)

24 days to go to the start of DSO here in the West of England - and I have just found that we will be now doing it in 3 stages.
This means that the ini spreadsheet made by Graham has channel info that will only be used after Autumn 2011 (not his fault - only published by ofcom on Feb 9th 2010 & not yet updated on http://www.ukfree.tv)

The dates are as follows:-
Stage 1: 24th March 2010 - Channels 55,56,61,62,65,67
Stage 2: 7th April 2010 - Channels 54,56,58(HD),59,61,62
Stage 3: Autumn 2011 - Channels 48,52,54,56,58(HD),61

You will have to use 'explicitly scan DVB-T Offset frequencies' setting on the Misc tab for Stage 2

I have made an ini file for each stage put them in BDA/DVB-T folder.
In Config under capture sources edit they will be listed as "Southern England after DSO"
"Mendip Stage 1" etc.

Hope they are of help to somebody

  zProcess and Windows Home Server
Posted by: grits - 2010-03-01, 04:48 PM - Forum: ZTools and UltraXMLTV - Replies (3)

I've had zProcess working well for quite awhile now, no real complaints except the odd restart required. I've recently set up a Windows Home Server on a computer separate from my GBPVR machine. When I moved my divX files over to the WHS shared Videos folder, and updated my GBPVR config with the path, my mediaMVP wasn't able to find the shared Video folder. After scouring the forums, I found the suggestion that I had to set the service to log on as the same account and password as the WHS machine, and that seemingly fixed it, I was now able to find the folder and view all the video files. But now the videos won't play through the mediaMVP. Changing the service to use a different login, means that it is no longer set to interact with the desktop, which I think zProcess needs.

My immediate thought is I will have to merge these two machines together into one, install GBPVR on the WHS computer, and move the TV card there, but I'm not sure I want to do that yet, although I've noticed folks have had success doing this.

Any suggestions for allowing mediaMVP and zProcess on the GBPVR computer work with WHS shared folders, that are on another computer on the network?

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Doug

Recording not made but not marked "Failed"
Posted by: Satori - 2010-03-01, 04:16 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Can anyone tell me from this log why the recording did not complete? The program showed "Ready" but there was no file so the only option was delete. Why would the pins not connect in the last log message? At the time I was able to watch the show live but not record it. I do not use live preview mode. Full logs attached.

  Separate renderer for HD (h.264)
Posted by: tmrt - 2010-03-01, 02:17 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (16)

My impression is that EVR renderer is necessary to get smooth playback of HD material in Windows 7 and Vista. Unfortunately it does not support cropping to remove black borders on letterboxed SD material, which plays nicely in VMR9.

It would be nice if one could set different renderers for HD and SD material in GBPVR.

  No Video for digital channel
Posted by: Ijaja - 2010-03-01, 01:14 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hello,

i have recently configured my digital tv card (KNC1 TV Station DVB-C+).
I was finally able to search and find channels. By the way, i am able to
find and see for example ARD HD. However, for strange reason, i cannot see simple ARD. The channel is found, i can select it, sometimes (!) i even can hear audio, but the video is just black. Nothing to see. This applies to some other
channel (but really only few), others are ok!

I have no idea, which problem this could be!

I would be glad about any help. Maybe some more details are required?

Accessing second tuner on Kworld Dual DVB-T PC160-2T
Posted by: KeithB - 2010-03-01, 11:33 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (11)

This unit has two DVB tuners, both can be seen using the supplied Hypermedia software, which is a bit basic.

I have GB-PVR working with one of the tuners which I have called TV1.

I created a new source called TV2 using the same device code, and scanned channels without any problem, however any attempt to record two programs on different multiplexes fails.

I also tried setting device number to 2, that gives no channels on a scan.

I must be doing something wrong somewhere. If anyone can please point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it.

There are quite a few test recordings shown in the logs.

Thanks

Keith

  Failed Recordings
Posted by: arthrotec - 2010-03-01, 06:57 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I've been having a problem with failed recordings for the last couple of months. Recordings don't always fail, but when they do it seems to happen more frequently with back to back recordings. However, record season recordings fail sometimes. I usually schedule recordings from the guide search. I use the community skin, as well as, the tvrecordings plugin and also, the weather plugin. I tried removing all the plugins and the skin before, but it doesn't seem to make any difference. I'm using gbpvr version 1.47 and I'll see if I'm able to attach my logs. Help.
Thanks in advance

Getting error about device not being configured/in use
Posted by: MrFoamy - 2010-03-01, 04:29 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (22)

Hi

I've got a Compro videomate vista E900F running on windows home server and I'm trying to get it set up with gbpvr but i cant get past the configuration.

I tried searching but it looks like loads of people get the same error for various reasons so i thought I'd start a thread. I've had the card working perfectly on other programs and the tuningassistant find a few channels.

I've spent so long trying to find a program which works for this so i really hope you can help

Run Multiple File Conversions On Your 4 Core -Burn Your Processor
Posted by: luttrell1962 - 2010-03-01, 01:43 AM - Forum: Developers - Replies (12)

I wrote some xbasic code and batch files to process mulitple ffmpeg 2 pass conversions. 3 uses 75-100 cpu time depending on the type of conversion.

xbasic code I had some printing going on but I commented that out you may want to use it to debug this if you choose.

Code:
' #################### ' ##### PROLOG ##### ' #################### ' PROGRAM "multiconv" VERSION "0.0001" ' IMPORT "xst" ' DECLARE FUNCTION Entry () ' ' ' ###################### ' ##### Entry () ##### ' ###################### ' FUNCTION Entry () ' XstGetCommandLine (@command$) XstGetCommandLineArguments (@argc, @argv$[]) ' '######################################################## ' Fix input file names from GB-PVR So they can be passed ' to a batch file '######################################################## ' DIM file1$[1] DIM file2$[1] DIM ffmpeg1$[1] DIM ffmpeg2$[1] DIM ffmpeg3$[1] file1$="" file2$="" iptr=1 XstHideConsole() ' '*********************************************************** DO IF LEN(file1$) > 0 THEN file1$=file1$+" " file1$=file1$+argv$[iptr] iptr=iptr+1 LOOP UNTIL RIGHT$(file1$,1) == CHR$(34) 'Quote mark DO IF LEN(file2$) > 0 THEN file2$=file2$+" " file2$=file2$+argv$[iptr] iptr=iptr+1 LOOP UNTIL RIGHT$(file2$,1) == CHR$(34) 'Quote mark '************************************************************ ' ' Check for first log file then second 2 pass log file if ' If first or second log file does not exist then spawn ' divx2pass.bat else do not spawn third instance. But execute ' and wait for completion of it and all log files then start ' over. ' '************************************************************ ffmpeg1$=":divx2pass.bat "+file1$+" "+file2$+" one" ffmpeg2$=":divx2pass.bat "+file1$+" "+file2$+" two" ffmpeg3$=":divx2pass.bat "+file1$+" "+file2$+" three" XstChangeDirectory("third party") XstGetFileAttributes("one-0.log",@attributes) IFZ attributes THEN 'file does not exist SHELL(ffmpeg1$) ' PRINT ffmpeg1$ ' PRINT "Wait Until ProjectX finshes processing file" ELSE XstGetFileAttributes("two-0.log",@attributes) IFZ attributes THEN 'file does not exist SHELL(ffmpeg2$) ' PRINT ffmpeg2$ ' PRINT "Wait Until ProjectX finshes processing file" ELSE SHELL(ffmpeg3$) 'Wait for third pass to complete ' PRINT ffmpeg3$ ' PRINT "Wait Until ProjectX finshes processing file" END IF ENDIF END FUNCTION END PROGRAM

Batch file to be called by GB-PVR it has code that waits untils projectx preprocesses the file. At the third instance it waits for it or one of the other 3 process's to complete before returning to GBPVR

Code:
cd "\program files (x86)\Devnz\GBPVR\Third Party" REM ***************************************************** REM Determine current run instance by created log file REM****************************************************** IF NOT EXIST one-0.log SET logfile=one-0.log IF NOT EXIST one-0.log GOTO logfiledone IF NOT EXIST two-0.log SET logfile=two-0.log IF NOT EXIST two-0.log GOTO logfiledone IF NOT EXIST three-0.log SET logfile=three-0.log IF NOT EXIST three-0.log GOTO logfiledone :logfiledone multiconv.exe %1 %2 REM ***************************************************** REM Wait for Project.x to process file REM****************************************************** :wlogfile IF NOT EXIST "%logfile%" GOTO wlogfile rem wait 500 seconds x 3 for projectx to complete REM ***************************************************** REM Exit if any of the three process's complete REM****************************************************** :loop IF NOT EXIST "one-0.log" exit IF NOT EXIST "two-0.log" exit IF EXIST "three-0.log" GOTO loop exit

Multipass ffmpeg batch file. I do preprocessing of the file with projectx. I pass a log file prefix one, two, three so that log files are kept separate.

Code:
javaw -jar d:\projectX.old\projectX.jar %1 echo %date% %time% %1 >> d:\projectx.old\runinst.txt "D:\Program Files (x86)\Devnz\GBPVR\Third Party\ffmpeg\ffmpeg.exe" -y -i "%~dp1%~n1.m2v" -an -r 30 -f avi -qmax 4 -qmin 1 -threads 8 -s 800x450 -b 2500k -pass 1 -passlogfile %3 -minrate 0k -maxrate 10000k -vcodec mpeg4 -bufsize 3500k -vtag divx nul "D:\Program Files (x86)\Devnz\GBPVR\Third Party\ffmpeg\ffmpeg.exe" -y -i "%~dp1%~n1.m2v" -i "%~dp1%~n1.ac3" -ab 128k -acodec libmp3lame -ac 2 -r 30 -async 1 -ar 44100 -f avi -qmax 4 -qmin 1 -threads 8 -s 800x450 -b 2500k -pass 2 -passlogfile %3 -minrate 0k -maxrate 10000k -vcodec mpeg4 -bufsize 3500k -vtag divx %2 del "%~dp1%~n1.m2v" del "%~dp1%~n1.ac3" del "%~dp1%~n1[1].ac3" del %3-0.log IF EXIST "%~dp1%~n1.avi" DEL %1 EXIT
