i'm using a dvb-t dongle on windows 7 in israel, and i have a few problems:
1)the major problem - in almost every recording, every few minutes, it suddenly jumps a few minutes forward, and i have to rewind it.
i'm using ts mux. when i choose dvr-ms i can't multi record...
2)we have 5 channels broadcasted on the same frequency. the program allows me to record all 5 of them at the same time, but if i'm recording one and want to view another channel live, i can't. how can i fix it?
3)EPG - right now we have EPG for only 2 channels, and it's 2 hours late. until they'll fix it - how can i manually solve it? i tried importing an xmltv file, but when i do that, it just adds the channels on the xmltv as different channels, and for the real 5 channels that i get, i don't have EPG.
What is it:
sTranscode, as the name implies, is a media transcoder.
It's goal is to create a high-quality media file using modern codecs and container that is compatibile with both PC's and hardware decoders. A modern CPU is suggested for transcoding.
All required software for transcoding is included.
Input
- TS file
- MPG file
- VIDEO_TS folders from DVD's
- Techincally anything that mencoder can decode should work but focus is on the above three formats
- NOTE: DVR-MS is NOT supported
Output
- MKV
Video - AVC(h.264)
Audio - MP3, AAC, VORBIS, or AC3(copied from source)
Features:
- Cut/trim using comskip files
- Autocrop (via comskip or mplayer)
- AutoIVTC
- Auto-Deinterlace
- Supports Video and Audio profiles
- Auto scanning and queueing of files to transcode
- DVD Subtitle support (hardcoded and muxed)
- Animorphic output supported
- PCH(Popcorn Hour)/DXVA compatibility
- Logfile creation
- GBPVR database update with new name if running GBPVR client (PC, MVP, PCH)
- MKV chapter creation using comskip files if cutting is not desired
Quickstart:
- Extract sTranscode archive to directory of choice
- Drop source file on _guided_transcode.bat
- Choose options and wait for transcode to finish
Playback from PC
- Install Haali Media Splitter (For MKV playback) - http://haali.cs.msu.ru/mkv/
- Install h.264 decoders of choice (ffdshow, CoreAVC, MPC HC, ATI, NVIDIA, etc)
- Install audio decoder of choice (ffdshow, etc)
Comskip.ini setup (required for cutting, chapter creation, and one form of crop detection)
- Add the following lines to the bottom of your comskip.ini file
verbose=10
output_edl=1
output_edlp=1
2-pass encoding
- sTranscode performs 2-pass encoding using two methods
- You can specify a custom size or choose option 0 in guided_transcode to pick from some popular sizes.
- If no size is specified, sTranscode will decide the best size using pre-determined sizes that will make archiving to DVD5 media simple.
transcode.ini
- Because of the extra time used to perform auto-IVTC and auto-crop, those values are saved in the show directory and are used in future transcodes. Custom settings may be added if desired.
Profile
- There are a number of video profiles to choose from. To make a custom profile, open of the current profiles, change the name(no spaces) and add/change the values to your desire.
When I pass System.Windows.Forms.Keys.Next or PageUp to the OnKeyDown function is it expected that UiSimpleList scrolls by x-1 and UiList scrolls by x (rows="x")
I have one of the HD channels in the scan that has an incorrect video PID scanned(usu. the video PID is the same as the PCR PID, in this case it is not). I can hear the audio in the channel mapper config page so the channel is there. The rest of the HD channels all mapped correctly.
Is there a place to modify the PIDs so they are correct? I cannot get to them thru the mapping screen but there must be a file somewhere that can be modified.
To celebrate, I picked up a HVR1600 for my DVR. I've installed the current drivers from Hauppauge, but when I'm trying to configure it, config tells me that the drivers are not installed. I have 2 PVR150's that are configured & working well.
Now that I have something resembling a working system again, I would like to set dual monitors. However, I can't set independent resolutions on two monitors.
My goals are to a) create a Picture-in-Picture output and, b) have an alternative monitor available in case an earlier problem recurs wherein the HDMI video was "blanking".
I DO have a second PCI video card (a Radeon 9200); however, the last time I tried to install it, I ended up with a crashed system drive and have been working to recover ever since. While most of me doesn't believe it was the card's fault, enough of me believes it to be very wary of trying again.
What I would prefer is to use the 4350's dual outputs-HDMI and VGA (which would probably be easier on resources, anyway). I have an external VGA-to-composite converter that can then provide the PIP output.
Catalyst correctly identifies both my HDTV and my monitor by their model numbers. However, when I try to set a resolution on one, the other takes on the same resolution. If the resolution is two high for the monitor, it starts "panning" across the larger image.
What I want is for a duplicate or "clone" image to be sent to each output, but in a 1080p resolution to HDMI and, say, 640x480 to VGA.
A new update to WebRadio 2 has been released that incorporates some of the "beta"'s I have posted and adds some new features.
- Support for Sirius Radio (could a Sirius user update the wiki please)
- support for Live365.com (setup documentation to follow)
- support for pseudo Album Art by searching Google for Shoutcast titles if VLC is used for playback
- support for Album Art for Sirus
- support for real album art on Live365
- LATM recording transcoded playback for the NMT. Not really radio (but the plugin is designed to do video too)
Important WebRadio now uses its own WebRadio.xml file stored in Plugins\WebRadio. The setup file will create it with defaults, please configure it to your preferences. If you delete WebRadio.xml it will use your config.xml setting.
I've recently installed Win7 with 1.4.7 everything works fine except that the recordings do not playback any audio.
Live TV has audio and when playing back the recordings in WMP audio is present.
Trawling through the forum I see that the AC3 Filter is recommended, I've installed and configured as AC3 Decoder however this has not fixed the problem.
Your assistance is appreciated.
Log files attached.
Setup:Win7 Pro, Nova-T, gbpvr = everything default except AC3 Filter
