A very big newbie to GB-PVR and streaming NAS etc.
This is my current setup:
PC with HDMI (inc Audio) Output
This PC HDMI plugs into my Plasma TV
I would like to use GB-PVR when viewing the PC through the TV.
I am planning on buying a NAS to store all my videos and music on.
Eventually I may get a digital media player so I assume the NAS need to be DLNA Compatible UPnP AV.
How do I setup GB-PVR with a DLNA NAS. Do I just add the directory where the files are stored or is there a clever way of doing this as the NAS is streaming the files etc.
I used to access gbpvr via web gui in older version, now i cannot get acces via web browser any more. What should I do? I would just type in the ip address of the gbpvr machine. What Happened?
I'm trying to burn a DVD from an MPG that is originally 6.6 GB. After the commercials are cut out the file will be much smaller, and should be under 4.7 GB. Even when I have "Shrink is OFF" set, the file is still shrunk - I'm assuming because of the original file size. Is an MPG file produced from Skip Tool that has the commercials taken out that I could manually create the DVD or ISO from, or is there some other way I can do this without losing content? The thing I'm finding is that the shrunken version has lost some content from the video. This isn't the first time this has happened. I've seen this on other large files too.

I have two questions:
FIXED by using VMR9 custom instead of VMR9 FSA 1)I just found that new version of FFDshow (rev.3167) is causing d3d device lost durning chanel change in GB-PVR. No problem in older rev.3151. So before i report this to FFDshow team i would like to known if this could be by some reason GB-PVR problem? EDIT:

2) some of my recordings are recorded without sound. I bet problem is in my WinTV HVR 1300 TV card, becouse it failed to init sound durning chanel change. It is little hard for me do describe, but i will try how i can reproduce simillar issue durning manual channel change.
It happend if i didnt configure video decoder in GB-PVR config and leave it to system default. In this case GB-PVR create graph without "GB-PVR Flow Status" filter before video decoder (like here - not related to haali, i am no longer use it to split MPEG2 + i always define video decoder now) - and my HVR 1300 sometime failed to init sound durning channel change. If i setup some video decoder, the problem is gone.
So this leads me - can it be connected to recordings without sound issue? Like GB-PVR create graph without GB-PVR Flow Status causing HVR 1300 didnt reinit if no sound problem happend?
Maybe i am wrong, but i am thinking "GB-PVR Flow Status" is controling data flow in if it detect there is no sound, it will tell to tuner to reinit, right? So maybe by some reason i miss GB-PVR Flow Status filter in analog recording graph?

After installing my Christmas present (ATI TV Wonder 600 PCI card) I found GB-PVR as a replacement for ATI's TotalMedia setup, which didn't even detect my antenna.
I installed the codec package found here in anticipation of needing codecs for GB-PVR. Then I installed GB-PVR.
After detecting several channels in the Config screen, Live TV gave a "system does not support required VMR9 video render" message, which I resolved by switching the video render from "EVR" to "VMR9 Fullscreen Exclusive".
At this point, LiveTV in PVRX2 outputs the correct audio, but black screen for video, for every channel. Looking through the support threads led me to try:
1) Changing my MPEG-2 decoder to ffdshow Video Decoder,
2) Installing a NativeUtilities patch found here,
3) Changing the config.xml file to disable status check.
None of these changed the black screen problem. I ran PVRX2 in debug mode and am attaching the logs to this post. If you need information about my system that's not in my signature, let me know. Thanks for your time.
Some of my recordings are Dolby Digital (2 and 6 channels). When played through GBPVR on PCH the sound is output as PCM to my receiver. However, when I play the same file directly through PCH the output is DD. Is there a way to ensure that DD is output as such through GBPVR? Thanks.
First of all thanks for making this wonderful software available to us. Having tried a few, I'm really impressed with GB-PVR. I live in Denmark, and have connected my GB-PVR to the freeview DVB-T channels available (using a Hauppauge NOVA-T usb stick).
I have a recording from channel DR1 where subtitles are working seamlessly.
A different recording is from channel TV2, where subtitles are not showing. However, if I press ctrl-y or the yellow button on the remote, the subtitles now show, but unfortunately slightly out of sync. Is this a known issue? Is there something I can look into or do about it?
