How to set which device receives IR signal
Posted by: Lucas_24 - 2009-11-12, 02:33 AM - Forum: Hardware - No Replies

I've been successfully controlling my PC with an IR receiver connected to my Haup 250 card. I updated motherboard drivers, and my HD-PVR is now receiving IR commands and the 250 is not. I'm using the Hauppauge IR software by the way. This is a problem for me since my gear is located in the basement and connected to my TV in the level above. I built a longer cable for the IR receiver and things were working great, I cannot use the IR on the HD-PVR since it's away from the TV. Any suggestions?

  PCH Network Explorer Stopped Working
Posted by: Blue Racer - 2009-11-12, 12:19 AM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (6)

Not sure what I did, but I messed something up. I've always used the network browser on the pch to connect to gbpvr. But now when I click on Network browser it doesn't show my network, it just shows "NFS server". I've tried rebooting my pc and my pch numerous times to no avail. I didn't mess around with any of my shares or anything.

  Screensaver during long pause
Posted by: siliconaudio - 2009-11-11, 11:10 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (7)

I have a plasma TV and sometimes the wife will pause live TV or a recorded movie to answer the phone and end up speaking for hours before she gets back to the TV. I would love it if we could set a timeout for how long PVRX2 will pause before it automatically invokes the screensaver.

Hi, anyone got one of these working? The lifeview softtware finds it and it works but gbpvr finds no channels, it is listed as compatible! If I tell gbpvr to only show connected devices it calls it a flyview dvb-t

  Skins won't load
Posted by: stilly - 2009-11-11, 07:30 PM - Forum: Community Skin - Replies (5)

Trying to download new skins, and nothing is showing up. Downloading, opening the zip files, and installing. Going to config, and nothing is there.

Any ideas on what might be wrong? Trying to download Community Skins, Blue Glow WS.

  read comskip file in progress
Posted by: johnsonx42 - 2009-11-11, 07:23 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (16)

Could PVRX2 be enhanced to read an in-progress comskip file during playback, so that commercials detected to that point can be skipped automatically?

Adding extensions for External player in Moviewiz
Posted by: 7ore - 2009-11-11, 01:33 PM - Forum: SearchWiz & MovieWiz - Replies (3)

I have the problem that sometimes GB-pvr can't play DVD-Menus. It is always the same discs that won't work so I am searching for a way round the problem.
The obvious way is to use the tab for external player and connect the ".dvd" to MPC instead.
The reason is that the .dvd virtual extension is not selectable (all dvds is stored as Name\Video_ts).

Is it possible to add this so I can play these movies in an external player from within gb-pvr?

Problem connecting to EWA over LAN...
Posted by: irontam - 2009-11-11, 01:08 PM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - Replies (3)

I'd like to start by saying I doubt this is a problem with EWA, but more likely my lack of networking knowledge... Smile

I've set up GB-PVR successfully on one machine (called CEEFAX). I can access it using the IP address:

http://10.0.0.4:7647/gbpvr

but I cannot access it using the computer name:

http://CEEFAX:7647/gbpvr

I just get a "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage", however the interesting thing is that if I use:

http://CEEFAX:7647/

I get "Server Error in '/gbpvr' Application." so it must be seeing it?!?!

I'm sure it's something simple that I'm just not getting it Sad Any help, gratefully appreciated...

  Subtitles + DXVA
Posted by: hoborg - 2009-11-11, 11:03 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (36)

That is something i missing there, would be great feature.

I believe it needs to be done on GB-PVR side (like MediaPortal did by adding MPC-HC subtitle engine). I known this is not possible on GB-PVR becouse it is not open source, but similar solution will be great.

Thanks.
