  I can only watch one channel
Posted by: censored0589 - 2009-10-18, 11:17 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (12)

Hello,

I have a problem with my PVR and it's kind of annoying: I can only watch one channel. I thought this problem was because I had the GBPVR and WinTV. I had the WinTV because I was experiencing problems (config issues) with it. I uninstalled the WinTV, but I'm getting the same problem. Thanks for your time with this issue

  Anysee E30 Plus and GBPVR
Posted by: HydroWolf - 2009-10-18, 10:58 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (1)

I just tried a Anysee E30 Plus with a smartcard on Vista x64. GBPVR could not detect the device despite the fact that the device is in the bda.ini, and it shows up in the device manager (anysee BDA Capture Device (2009.03.30, AD01060316,Vista,x64), it is possible to watch tv using MCE and Anysee´s own viewer. How is this possible?

How to make gbpvr detect the device? Any assitance is greatly appreciated!

  Windows 7
Posted by: Blue Racer - 2009-10-18, 08:02 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (23)

I am thinking of upgrading my gbpvr pc to Windows 7 next week. I will probably just do the upgrade and not the clean install(so as not to have to reinstall all of my software packages). I have the latest version of gbpvr loaded on my machine. I was wondering if anybody who has tried out the new operating system could share with me what problems they had or any suggestions relating to gbpvr. Thanks for any help!

  DVD playback broken on 1.4.7
Posted by: Wakalaka - 2009-10-18, 06:58 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (29)

What data can I provide to debug my DVD playback issues? It seems every version of GB-PVR breaks my previously working DVD playback. I have tried many DVD decoder configurations, but nothing works -- 300 movie DVD starts playing but then locks up immediately.

I uninstalled all of the video codecs I was using and installed this SAF thing and PowerDVD9. The DVD plays back using PowerDVD9 and KMPlayer.

  Help - GBPVR A100 PCH NMT & DVD ISO
Posted by: techhome - 2009-10-18, 05:21 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (23)

I'm a seasoned HTPC user but a GBPVR NOOB. I've gotten GBPVR configured and running with Comcast Digital cable using a HDHR. Here's the details on my setup:

HTPC/server is connected via DVI/HDMI cable to a HDTV, coax dig audio cable to DD5.1 receiver - Pentium 4 2GB RAM Win XP MCE SP3

Popcornhour A100 with internal hdd connected to a HDTV, stereo audio only. A100 cabled to HDTV via component video and analog stereo audio cables. Video out set to 720P

HDHR tuning clear QAM comcast digital cable

I followed the Wiki and installed using CSI to disk and also on the HTPC.

I've found some forum posts and have been trying to modify the gbpvr.cgi file located in C:/mvpmc appropriately. No love thus far.

I assume that this folder comes into play when I lauch gbpvr thru the network browser and not when I launch via web service for the PCH hdd install. Is this correct?

Are there advantages to the CSI hdd install over the other, easier to launch, quicker interface? If the hdd install is better, this is the one I ultimately want to get configured properly.

The HTPC has 6 hard drives. Three drives are dedicated to DVD rips and each ISO file is located in its own folder on the root of the drive. If I cannot mount the root on the NMT, perhaps I need to move these subfolders off the root and into containing folder with descriptive name such as "Kids_Movies"

One of the drives containing DVD ISOs already has subfolders. I'm initially trying to get the ISOs located in individual subfolders in I:\MOM+DAD to play on the NMT.

original gbpvr.cgi file:

#!/bin/sh

echo "Content-Length: 29";
echo "Content-type: text/html";
echo "";

cd ~
if [ -f /etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 ]
then
echo "mvmcx2 is loaded";
else
mkdir /etc/mvpmc
mount -t cifs //192.168.0.5/mvpmc /etc/mvpmc -o username=root,rw
cp /etc/mvpmc/utelnetd /usr/bin
ln -s /lib/librmjpeg.so /lib/libjpeg.so.62
ln -s /lib/librmzlib.so /lib/libz.so
ln -s /lib/librmzlib.so /lib/libz.so.1
ln -s /lib/librmzlib.so /lib/libz.so.123
utelnetd -l /bin/sh -p 23 &
echo "Telnetd started on port 23............";
fi
killall gaya
sh -c /etc/mvpmc/startmeup 2>/dev/null >/dev/null &
exit 0;

modified file (doesn't work):
#!/bin/sh

echo "Content-Length: 29";
echo "Content-type: text/html";
echo "";

cd ~
if [ -f /etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 ]
then
echo "mvmcx2 is loaded";
else
mkdir /etc/mvpmc
mount -t cifs //192.168.0.5/mvpmc /etc/mvpmc -o username=root,rw
mkdir /mnt/I:\\MOM+DAD
mount -t cifs //192.168.1.5/MOM+DAD /mnt/I:\\MOM+DAD -o username=user,password=password,ro
cp /etc/mvpmc/utelnetd /usr/bin
ln -s /lib/librmjpeg.so /lib/libjpeg.so.62
ln -s /lib/librmzlib.so /lib/libz.so
ln -s /lib/librmzlib.so /lib/libz.so.1
ln -s /lib/librmzlib.so /lib/libz.so.123
utelnetd -l /bin/sh -p 23 &
echo "Telnetd started on port 23............";
fi
killall gaya
sh -c /etc/mvpmc/startmeup 2>/dev/null >/dev/null &
exit 0;

Any insight on what is wrong. I not sure how to Telnet, test or verify the script.

Thanks!

  entries listed twice in DVD Audio/Video decoder dropdowns
Posted by: Wakalaka - 2009-10-18, 05:20 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

How do I fix it so the DVD audio and video decoder dropdowns don't list an entry twice? Cyberlink Audio Wizard is listed twice. Also the dropdown width is too small to show all of the text of some entries.

  Anamorphic mkv file squashed
Posted by: SoupSatchel - 2009-10-18, 01:55 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

When I play this file in graphedit, wmp or vlc it looks fine but with GBPVR it's squashed horizontally. I always thought if graphedit works GBPVR does, so is there something I need to change to get it to recognise anamorphic?
