Perhaps "my version" of tuner could be added to bda.ini in the future versions of GBPVR as "[Anysee E30 C plus type2]" or similar so that all Anysee users can get their tuners automatically recgonized?
i bought on e-bay a dvb-t usb stick, but i can't use it with gb-pvr.
It is based on an intel chip. in the device manager it is being shown as Intel CE9500 and on the driver CE6230.
It works fine when i use VLC Player, but i want to use it with my favourite PVR program - GBPVR.
the problem is that hen i tried to install it, i couldn't find it on the digital recievers list, so i tried alot of similiar devices, but none of them work - when i try to scan for channels, the config program crashes.
Im having this problem when I enable "allow this devise to bring the computer out of standby"(lan card) then I have to tick
"only allow management stations to bring this computer out of standby" otherwise my PC keeps waking up at strange hours.
When its ticked GB-PVR cant wake up my PC . My question is whether its possible to make a script to wake up GB-PVR via wol when you wants to record a program . It would help just about anyone who is
using GB-PVR and having this problem.
I have attempted to configure my AverMedia Volar max USB digital tuner (ATSC) hardware by using the configuration utility selecting the capture source tab. I selected the recording source by clicking on the âOnly show devices detected in this machineâ option. The config utility supposedly picked up my digital USB tuner.
I then used MC2XML Grabber to download and create an xmltv file gathered directly from Microsoftâs MCE EPG server for my EPG source.
I pointed to the xmltv file via the xmltv plugin setting then updated my EPG. A this point I selected the âmap digital channels to the EPG channelsâ option.
The issue: Although it seems the scan picked up all my 68 local digital channels (bottom right hand side window displayed them)
Nothing came up in the tuning request column (this tuning column never came up) for me to âfineâ select the channels as the Wiki guide suggested
In addition when I save and exit the config utility and re-enter the GBPVR program selecting TV guide does nothing.
Can anybody tell me what I need to do at this point? I have followed the Wiki guide completely step by step up to this point to be able to finally get to my TV guide so I can start recording.
Note:I have already attemped to empty out my EPG and starting over,
re-registering my filters with the required bat file, removing the capture source and starting over from scratch etx (all the usual Wiki recommendations) with still the same problem.
I'd like to suggest a menu item that matches up the Recurring Recordings with the Pending list and gives you a list of recurring items that are NOT in the pending list for the upcoming week.
The purpose of this is to detect recurring items that are not scheduled to record that week, e.g. because the show is NOT scheduled that particular week or because the show's original scheduled time changed and the recurring item needs updating. This list would allow you to detect anomalies and avoid missing episodes.
Now I am looking to buy a few more cards and remove my HVR-1300 (because of the issues in the thread mentioned above) and I would like any input on whether the new cards I am planning to buy will work together with GBPVR.
I plan to replace my HVR-1300 with one of the following;
:Technotrend S-1401 DVB-S Card
or
: TeVii S420 DVB-S Card with Remote
or
: AVerMedia AVerTV DVB-S Hybrid+FM Digital Satellite+Radio & Analog
or
:Hauppauge WinTV Nova S Plus DVB-S
Then once I have purchased one of the cards above and got it working with my HVR-4000 I plan to purchase two DVB-T PCI-E cards (if I can afford it) to hopefully complete my HTPC.
The reason I want so many TV cards is that it seems all the good shows are on at the same time and that all the shows I want to watch are on at the same time as the shows my wife wants to watch.
The DVB-T PCI-E cards I am thinking about getting are the

(I am planning on two identical cards is that a bad idea?)
Any comments or suggestions on the cards above (or other suggested cards available in NZ) working together with a Hauppauge HVR-4000 in GBPVR would be greatly appreciated.
I am running the new GBPVR 1.4.7 using an HVR-1600 with FFDSHOW as my MPEG2 decoder. Here's the problem I am having. Comcast around me (Monmouth County, NJ) shows local channels in QAM in both HD and SD and some other channels such as TBS in SD. The problem is this, when I watch the HD channels with FFDSHOW doing MPEG2 decoding it works perfect. However when I try to watch any of the QAM channels broadcasted is SD, it stutters horribly. However if i go into the FFDSHOW settings and turn off MPEG2 decoding, the SD channels work fine but the HD Channels begin to stutter then. Is there anything I can do and if I need to post logs let me know. Thank you in advanced.
I was looking at the Hauppauge HVR-1250 for about 50 bucks and it has pretty good reviews. It is not officially supported by gbpvr, but it will work with it right? I will be using to mostly record digital-only signals. Is this the cheapest decent option??
Good day. I've recently changed from Windows XP to Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit. I've done everything the same (including using the same Hauppauge HVr 1600 card). I set up my capture source the same way and the channels came up in my listing. The IR remote is working with my Hauppauge remote. The problem is that when I open PVRX2 and grab my remote, everything works except for the TV guide and live TV. Just wondering if this is a common issue and if so, what is the solution?
