  hauppauge remote configuration
Posted by: Kissack - 2009-09-30, 08:57 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Hi

I have a hauppauge card (Nova TD 500) and a hauppauge remote (45 key). Some keys work and some dont. I tried down loading HIP (HIP appears to work some keys as I can see teh OSD for volume) and EventGhost (the configuration download appears to relate to an old gbpvr) but have had no luck getting them going properly.

Can I do better? Any one got one of these going and prepared to offer advice or a configuration file?

thanks

  Win7x64 Sound issues
Posted by: butterstick - 2009-09-30, 08:53 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Hi All, I was hoping someone might be able to help me out. I have the newest version of GBPVR running on a new install of Win7x64RC1. Everything is good, except I cannot get any sound from GBPVR on live TV or on playback. I know the sound is there because everything else plays sound fine, VLC, WMP, Flash, etc. The recordings GBPVR makes playback with sound in other programs I just can't seem to get sound to come out of GBPVR. The sound device is a Radeon 4850 with sound out HDMI. It is set to the default device (onboard sound is disabled in the BIOS). I've tried different Audio Renderer's under Playback but nothing seems to be working. Thanks in advance for any help.

Web Admin doesn't ask for id/password
Posted by: nitro888 - 2009-09-30, 08:24 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hi, sorry for the noob question, I just started using GBPVR (was using mythtv previously). I setup the web admin and put a id/password in the Misc2 config page, and I can access it fine, but it doesn't seem to ask me for my user id / password. It only asks if I go to the config part. But I can view the channel listings, schedule recordings and start/stop recording without entering any user id / password. How do I secure it properly? Thanks.

  Missing Channels
Posted by: zb1 - 2009-09-30, 07:14 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (20)

I'm missing some channels (like MSNBC) that are available in HDHomeRun QuickTV but not in GBPVR.

How do I get the same channels that are available on HDHR to appear on GBPVR?

Need some tuning info for ITV3 on Rowridge transmitter
Posted by: JP23 - 2009-09-30, 04:54 PM - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

Hi,

I've been unable to do any channel scans for some time now, so I'm having some problems with today's DVB-T re-tune. I have most channels working after swapping some tuning info around in the database, but I need tuning info for
ITV3.

If someone who uses DVB-T from Rowridge could pull the tuning info from the database for me - presuming you still get ITV3 it would be a massive help.

  ERROR ConnectFilters:Failed(2)
Posted by: Exelion - 2009-09-30, 04:12 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Everything records and playsback fine most of the time on my Hauppauge HD PVR but I always have the "ERROR ConnectFilters:Failed(2)". Is this something I should be concerned about?

Problem re-mapping channels with DVB EPG
Posted by: martint123 - 2009-09-30, 03:08 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

In this thread (from page 2ish) about the DVB changes in the UK, I am having a problem changing the mappings. It seems that if the source is set to using DVB EPG then a column in the mapping screen that is used to map is missing.

This seems to be a problem with remapping rather than the initial install.
I will try setting it to external EPG and see if that permits mapping changes.

Update - yes it does. If I temporarily set the EPG to "none" then I get the column back and can update the mapping and set it back to DVB-EPG afterwards.

No audio with PVRX2 1.4.7 and other problems
Posted by: Agamemnon - 2009-09-30, 02:11 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I can't get any audio on Live TV on BBC1 and most other channels using PVRX2 version 1.4.7 and it won't even display a picture or audio on BBC2 even after a complete rescan and removal of my previous installation of version 1.2.9, even though it can play back all the recordings I made before the upgrade with version 1.2.9 with audio. I've tried every combination of audio decoders possible. It's even randomly refusing to tune into any channels at all and giving 0 quality and 0 strength readings even though Hauppauge WinTV 7 can tune into all channels on Freeview when I run that instead. I'm going to do a complete system role-back. Every version of GBPVR I've used after 1.2.9 has either crashed when tuning channels making a rescan impossible without going back to version 1.2.9, failed to make recordings on certain channels such as E4 or been totally unusable like the present version 1.4.7.

I have installed the current Microsoft C++ runtime as recomended I suggest that if other people are having the same problems to go back to version 1.2.9.

The only reason I installed the new version is because all the Freeview channels in the UK have been changes and everyone in the country has to retune and I thought that finally GBPVR might actually be able to detect shared channel slots, such as with CBBC and BBCThree but it can't which means having to rescan 3 or 4 times at different times of day an night to get every channel available.

TunningAssistent and GBPVR gives some errors
Posted by: hvannieu - 2009-09-30, 12:58 PM - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

Hello Guys,

I would run GBPVR on a Windows Server 2008 R2 (64Bit) machine. My Home-server runs this and is a powerful system which is always on. I would not put a other PC on only to run GBPVR. I have GBPVR without errors installed on the w2k8 machine. Only my analog TV card (Hauppauge PVR-500) gives some errors:

I received errors when I use the TunningAssistent.exe and select my card.
---------------------------
TuningAssistant
---------------------------
Failed to find Crossbar filter. Wrong device type?
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

I would so happy when I can run it all on my Windows Server 2008 R2. When I start PVRX2 at the w2k8 machine then I received also an error message: ---------------------------

---------------------------
Sorry, this system does not support the required VMR9 video render.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

Can someone help my to get it all (Hauppauge pvr-500 and GBPVR) run on my Windows server 2008 R2 (64bit) machine?
