Have set the AWESOME GB-PVR up to play my home movie video files but have run into a problem...
I have my freeview coming through in widescreen 16:10 but my home videos are all 4:3 and therefore in the wrong ratio when played.
Now I know I can press F7 to cycle through the ratios, but if I leave it on 4:3 then go back to my freeview - all the widescreen shows need to be changed again by pressing F7.
In an ideal world, I would prefer to have a setting for the video library so that automaticly display in 4:3/pillarbox but my freeview will stay in widescreen. The AUTO ratio does not seem to handle this too well.
Does anyone know of an ini that would allow this?
Cheers all and continued thanks for the AWESOME GB-PVR!
I'm having problems with my TS Mux files after they are completed. Basically, after ShowAnalyzer finds the commercials, I use VideoReDo to save the file without the commercials but every single TS file will complete in VideoReDo between 25 & 30 minutes. The file plays fine, it should does not complete.
I've tried converting to mpeg first then into SA and the same thing happens. After converting to mpeg, the file plays fine it's simply after VideoReDo saves the file without commercials. If I use dvrms, things are just fine.
7010ix 2x analogue 2x DVBT 2x DVBS Recognised as only one of each tuner
Nova T500 2x DVBT. Both tuners recognised
From reading various posts I am guessing at the following setups, not using analogue.
7010ix Named Sat Setup as Card 1 and 2. XMLTV EPG source Astra 28.2
7010ix Named Freeview1 Setup as Card 1 and 2. DVBT EPG source
T500 Tuner 1 Named Freeview2 Setup as card 3. DVBT EPG source
T500 Tuner 2 Named Freeview3 Setup as card 4. DVBT EPG source
I am having some difficulty scanning with this setting, and would be most grateful for any comments on setup.
Many thanks
I am fairly new to this and have a USB-UIRT for changing my cable channel. Once GBPVR starts I can change channel fine with my Hauppauge remote (PVR-150 capture card). However usually the recording service does not change channel and there is an error in the recording service log saying cannot open USB-UIRT. The recording service is system owned and set to interact with the desktop.
On the odd occasion that I have got the recording to change channel then the live tv can no longer change channel after the recording has finished. It appears that either live TV or the Recording Service can grab access to USB-UIRT but not both. System is Vista based.
Any thoughts appreciated.

I want to build a Pc for gbpvr.. What do I need?
I have Verizon Fios for Cable. I have been searching this forum for mininum requirements to build one but cant find anything. Thanks, stew
I have no Audio when I watch or recording live TV.
Also when I open a recording file and play it on my PC there is no Audio.
My TV Card is a Hauppauge PVR-500 (Analogue).
I have a Realtek AC'97 Audio device onboard of my Asus P4P800E deluxe.
The system runs Windows Vista Ultimate NL SP1 (32bit) i have also tread Windows 7, but this give other errors. I have a other pc with Windows Server 2008 R2, on this machine the TV card does not work.
GBPVR have i install with NMTInstall.exe and left al settings default...
Must I switch with my desktop PC to XP or is there a solution for the Audio problem... I hope so I have try a lot of setups... One week have been busy all day to get it al work...
I hope so somebody can help my to get it all work. Watch and listen TV with GBPVR on my new NMT with Audio....!
My PCH has gathered dust for quite some time but the old CRT gave up this week and was replaced by a shiny new Panasonic Plasma. So I dusted off the PCH and installed the latest version with the NMTInstall.
Everything seems to be working fine, GBPVR is displayed and I can move along the menus, etc. But when I try to play a video (either MKV or AVI) the PCH goes to buffering and then times out with file could not be played. With LiveTV the screen just goes blank and nothing appears. I'm guessing GBPVR is ok because both video and LiveTV work locally on the PC.
I have two half hour shows I recorded that show a time line of 2 1/2 minutes. The file sizes are about 10% of what I would expect for a half hour show.
I did watch one and it seems the whole show is there, but, it plays at warp speed. The show runs at "fast forward" and probably plays in around 2 minutes.
What causes that? Those two programs recorded back-to-back. The next night 4 shows recorded normally.
I tried to retime and re-run the mpg but I get the same result.
It's not that HDTV looks bad or anything, I was just curious. I'm currently using 1.3.11 and don't want to go through the hassle of reinstallng everything. I tried upgrading, but found the TV mapping a bit more tedious than the previous version so I reverted back, but I would upgrade again since I like to squeak out any possible enhancement for my HDTV viewing pleasure. thx
