The DVB and QAM radio support in Web Radio is intended to be basic and is not intended to replace the DVB Radio plugin. No provision is made to protect recordings and if it used when the tuner is required you will get a zero byte file for your recording or live TV won't work
The feature is enabled by editing GBPVR\media\WebRadio\UserMenu.xml and selecting the tuner you want to use (ie edit scan-0.cache) If you are unsure browse the GBPVR\BDA folder for the number of your tuner. If you don't want it used the entire section can be removed from UserMenu.xml
This has been tested on the PC with VLC and with the NMT (it requires 30 seconds of buffering for AC3 playback) but mvpmc was not updated to allow it to work on the MVP.
Stations are automatically detected and they don't need to be mapped. In North America the station names are not automatically detected, which makes my 71 digital radio channels difficult to use. You can copy the cache file to GBPVR\media\Webradio and edit the name (edit after the ~N> part of the file) but this will not be updated with subsequent scans.
It's nice to see that MixMan announced the Web Radio plugin, it really is a "community" plugin with code from sub, ubu, MixMan and me. I even used Jeff's CommonGBPVRUtilities.dll without knowing that it wasn't sub's code until last last week. Thank also to pz1 for trying this on the MVP and martin123 for confirming DVB Radio was possible.
Not being quite as optimistic about the need for support as MixMan, a couple of months's ago I asked sub to open up Ubu's forum to as a place to support Web Radio for now and hopefully other streaming plugins in the future. I think Web Radio 2.0 replace UbuRadion completely and we can probably consider that it is dead.
For the future as I have time, I hope to replace UbuStream too, so maybe you will see Web Stream one day.
For those of you who haven't used UbuRadio note that Web Radio uses external media players. VLC is required for the MVP/PCH and it is a good overall player on the PC client too. I've tested many versions and the current version 1.0.2 works quite well (and it eliminates some security problems in older versions of VLC, which is important calling out to as many sites as the plugin now dows). VLC is also required for playing DVB and QAM Radio I will create another thread on the digital radio and on NMT/MVP use.
On the PC the default player is actually Winamp since it allowed the most integration with Shoutcast data, file loading information etc. MixMan bundled his work on a player based on the bass.dll's If there is enough interest in the bass dll's I can port the Mediaportal internal player too. To use an alternate player in the WebRadio plugin section add the name of the player ie to use VLC instead of Winamp use.
Martin Vallevand has and made an excellent Web Radio plugin, while learning C#.
I helped out with testing, icons, wiki docs and skinning.
The plugin supports external players so any streamprolmat can be played.
The are something like 100.000 web radio stations avaliable in the menus.
The default installer comes with a directshow bass player.
You can save and edit you favourite stations.
The features are so many that it would be a page with text here, so have alook the pictures instead and go the the wiki page read about all the feature.

Not sure how to describe this very strange problem.
I have a monitor, and an HD tv hooked up to my computer. The HD TV is my secondary display, and the one that displays GB-PVR. If I have GB-PVR running, and then click on the desktop of the primary display with the mouse, GB-PVR will minimize. Clicking back to GB-PVR just returns a blank screen - video is gone - I have to use ALT-F4 to exit, and then re-open it...
I am running an Athlon machine with Nvidia chipset and VISTA32 bit. I have the latest version of GB-PVR installed. Plugins include movie whiz, music library2, burndvdx2, and weather2
Has anyone come across this? Any ideas would be appreciated.
I have been using WizRenameRecording for a while and it is a great tool. I need to make a change to how things are set up. Therefore, I need to update my postprocess.bat. Will this work?

I do have 2 issues that I have with WizRenameRecording that I'm hoping to resolve with the above script:
1. I occassionally get a blank file name (ex. ".ts")
2. I occassionally get the show name and time of recording (ex. "Gary Unmarried_20090930_20302100.ts").
Ok my deal is this. My guide says right now on my ABC channel that Rachel Ray is on at 4pm, when it actually aired at 9am so 7 hours earlier.
I went into the config > capture sources > and edited the epg source for both tuners to be -7:00. Emptied the EPG and reloaded it, still the exact same time delay, still showing rachel ray on at 4pm.
If it helps I am using xmltv as the source and it pulls the right info just wrong time, I get the exact same when I use Schedules Direct.
If it matters I am using a hauppauge 2250 and just using the clearqam section. I have the channels mapped correctly and if i tell it to record that all works fine, just the epg is off.
Is there a plugin that will play Flickr slide shows or allow you to browse Flickr through GBPVR?
I'm looking for a better way to view my photos on the big screen. The GBPVR photo viewer does not work very well for me because of the folder structure I have my (25,000+) photos stored in.
Set up GBPVR again using my local transmitter Winter Hill. All channels are picked up but I cant actually tune into fiver,fiveUSA,QVC,Virgin1,Quest or ITV3.
Now these are on MUX A according to the ukfree.tv website and for Winter Hill the power is currently showing as LOW. But so is the MUX 2 and I am receiving that ok.
Has anyone a clue as to why I can't pick up these channels on MUX A as with all these changes the freeview bods made a few days a find it absolutely crazy that so many channels are still messed up.
Any advice or help is greatly appreciated.

In the TV Guide I have two channels that show '(no show details)' for all times. The EPG used is XMLTV GUI. Looking at the XML file which is down loaded I find that the offending channels are included with the correct program information.
If I 'Update EPG' in the 'Edit Recording Source' screen of config.exe I can see the channels listed in the config.exe log, without any additional errors, but they are not listed in the 'Programme' table in the database.
The only difference that I can see is that both of these channels are the only ones that include a '/' in the name eg 'Sky Movies Action/Thriller'.
I have this problem on two machines, each running Win 7 and another one, also running Win 7 which does not have the problem.
So is it a bug or do I have to change the channel name somewhere to exclude a '/'.
