I am using 1.4.7 and it setup to always timeshift LiveTV. Today I went to channel 8 and watched NCIS. I had to leave so I recored from 8:52pm to the end of the show 9:01pm. Then I returned and exited LiveTV and went to the Recordings and whatched. I exited and if I use the GBPVR Tray or EWA the tuner shows that it is still recording NCIS. I look in the LiveTV Buffer directory and the file NCIS_1_20090915_20002101.mpg is still growing. So I am not sure if this is normal. I have posted this question before, but I did not post the logs. The logs are attached. THANKS!
I often archive my recordings to another dirve - which I access through the 'video library' feature. The comskip works great but once I move it, I loose the metadata. Is there an 'easy' way to move files, yet retain the program information?
I have Weather2 set up so I can view the weather for several cities. In Weather plugin Version 1, I seem to remember that I could switch between cities while looking at the Forecast. In Weather2 if I am viewing the Forecast for a city and switch to another city, the plugin drops back to the Current conditions screen.
I would like to see it be able to stay on the same type of screen when switching between cities.
There are some channels that I used to receive that I no longer receive from my provider. I can't seem to get rid of these channels from my EPG. I removed them from schedulesdirect but they still show up in my tv guide listing, which is frustrating. How can I remedy this problem?
I am considering adding a "Tips & Tricks" section to the wiki for the NMT, as we are now telling users to not read old messages as they may not be relevant any more where do they (me ) find out what can be done & how to do it (in really simple step by step terms so simple people like me can understand).
Something like to quickly start GB-PVR from the selection screen on the NMT

The software finds the device as ZAP E3C but does not power on when tuning in the channels or when using the software ? (red light should come on the usb stick) the rubbish software that come with it turns it on but crashes half way in the scan for channels so only half the channels and the software is :eek: to use any ideas please
I have a slight problem where PCH wont connect to my GBPVR server.
I issue the WOL command through the PCH which wakes the server without issue but mvpmcx2 wont launch the interface and the PCH just return to the main interface.
I have tried a PC client to connect the the GBPVR server and this connected fine.
If I reboot the GBPVR server then all is OK.
Currently running 1.4.7 but the previous version of GBPVR was the same.
Also running mvpmcx 2 2.5 installed through the NMT Community Installer.
I have attached the logs, but nothing has been written to them with the latest attempt to connect.
I was looking to see if a tuner was listed in bda.ini, and stumbled across a missing bracket on one of the leadtek tuner entries, to wit:
Code:
.....
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
[Leadtek LR6650
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=WinFast LR6650 BDA DVB-T Tuner/Demod
FILTER_CAPTURE=WinFast LR6650 BDA Transport Stream Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
[Leadtek LR6650 type2]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
.....
I found this on both my main 1.4.7 install and also on a 1.3.11 install.
I saw this tuner on Newegg's deals today for $30. Specifications say QAM capable, but some of the reviews suggest that it doesn't work with SageTV or other software. Does anyone know if it will work with GBPVR? Is the tuner worth $30?
