I am having difficulty configuring your software to work on my win XP (sp3) os with my dual tuner from HDHomeRun. I ran the configuration and clicked on the Capture Sources tab, clicked on the Add button to create a Capture Source, selected Digital Recording Plugin for Recording Source and then clicked on Settings to go to the Digital Source Configuration and selected the HDHomeRun Tuner #1 for the Device Type. Country is set to All Countries as I'm not able to find or select USA. And then saved this setting.
Back on the Create Capture Source window EPG Source was set to XMLTV Plugin but it didn't work so I click on the Map Digital Channel... button so I selected DVB EPG Broadcast. However when I click on the Map Digital Channel... button, I get an error message that says "GB-PVR was unable to start BDA device you have configured. Check the device is configured properly and not already in use.". The device is available and not in use by any other app.
Can you tell me how to configure this to work with the HDHomeRun Tuner. I've tried a variety of setting and have searched the forum to no avail.
I've had pretty much zero luck with the autoconvert. It's never been able to convert anything with the audio and video in sync. The video is always slower than the audio. I have to use Handbrake to manually convert the .ts files, because it works perfectly. It would be really convenient if GB-PVR's autoconvert is fixed.
Furthermore, it could use more options. It would be a lot better if I could select different resolutions, bitrates, etc. As it is now, even if the autoconvert DID work, it still creates a file that's way too big.
This is actually the only major complaint I have about GB-PVR. Otherwise, it's fantastic.
As I have mentioned before things display slightly differently on the MVP & (from my experience) even more so on the NMT. I have included a picture so you can see how W2 displayed on my 33" 4:3 CRT TV, I have done a few modifications to the skin & have included a picture of how it now displays & I have also attached the modified skin for you to have a look at.
Some of the sizes are a bit strange as they have to be bigger than is actually needed for the words to fit but if I don't make them that wide the words are cut off......maybe something I should ask sub about in the developers forum.
where do i look for logs for ewa? can't connect from outside anymore...works from internal and lan, and my html page comes up from internet side, but connecting not working...
just sits there...
works with ip ## for public ip address..wanting it to work with dns name...
I've been using the HD-PVR for awhile now and am generally happy with it.
I have a minor issue where, starting Live TV, every once in awhile the audio will go out of sync with video. Changing channels seems to resolve it. It also has never happened with a recording, so I've let it be.
Now that it has been out awhile, are any of you HD-PVR users using other codecs with GB-PVR that might be better?
I quite like weather2, nice work and it works on the mvp now, too. Because of this, I am willing to work on a translation into german. I did start on it, however, on some of the composite text elements, I am not really getting very far.
For example, on the overview page, I don't get Current and Forecast translated. As you might see from this, I am not exactly an xml or skin expert. Furthermore, is all the complex text stuff parsed from accuweather? Or are you able to provide me with a list of the more complex descriptions.
Limitations: I am not going to have a go at the detail pages within the 5-day forecast (yet).
Has anyone had success using a softcam/mdapi + cardreader with a conax smartcard? I tried setting up CnxCam as a mdplugin with an Infinity USBSMART (which can emulate Phoenix and Smartmouse) and actually had it working for a little while in my testrig. But then I tested another softcam, with no success, and later I cannot get the original setup to work anymore. Pvrx2 says "no signal detected" if I try to watch an encrypted channel, and the info-window from Cnxcam says "searching for card". I'm not sure how the cardreader should be set up for my smartcard (from Canal Digital), and what settings to use in Cnxcam ini-file.
If anyone has managed to make a similar setup working I'd very much like to hear from you.
