I have an encrypted channel that is also the one and only channel (to my knowledge) that has DVB subtitles. When viewing, regardless of DVB subtitles checkbox setting in config - the channel always opens without video, saying it is encrypted. Although I can see in the multidec plugin that it is getting decryption keys, and audio is working. After a minute or so it hangs with the message "No signal", which also hangs PVRX2...
I have a DVB-T 399UR PlusTV from kworld (can record 2 programs at once) used with the latest version of gbpvr - 1.4.7. I am located in Melbourne Australia and am looking for help or advice on the follwing:
1. The EPG source in the config is set to DVB EPG Broadcast.....this works as I get data for all channels except our local channel 9......Always displays "no show details"....only this one channel
2. If I record non hd channels, the playback is perfect but if I record any hd channel, I cannot play it back on the pc nor will it stream to my tv. When starting the playback.....I will see a few moving frames with audio but then it just freezes
My system is win xp pro sp3
1gb ram
sys disk = 160gb
250gb dedicated recording disk
Any help or assistance with the above 2 issues would be greatly appreciated as no doubt you can tell from my wording I am very new to this.
I have an xmltv EPG setup that works really well, but it lacks two channels, CNN and Kanal 12 which is a local channel.
DVB EPG works for these two, but xmltv is far superior for the other channels.
I would really like to be able to select per channel what EPG source to use. Now that is a global setting for the whole capture card which does not make much sense when xmltv (or other EPG source) coverage isn't 100%.
With the 1.4.7 version I cannot pop up the GBPVR client on my work room computer and schedule a recording from the TV guide. Tried this on two different computers with different OS (XP and Win 7 x64). All other things are as usual. I can view live TV and recordings etc, just not schedule new ones. From the server machine it works of course.
Hi,
In a fit of stupidity yesterday I decided to add a freesat card (hauppauge S2)
To the PC , it already had a Dual freeview usb (haupauge) which was working
fine and dandy.
Since I added the freesat card and tried to config its channels it has buggered
up some of the freeview channels now :-(
Is there anyway via some sqllite commands to extract out the channel tuning config for a particaular tuner ?
Is there any way to them modify the extracted info (to change to to another tuner) and then import it ?
That way when you have two identical tuners , you dont have to manually
configure the same data twice ( which is painfull )
Some changes to the map channels tab could makes things so much easier:
Such as a best guess button , it would read a channel name , the go through
the scancache file (from the bottom up) and do a best guess fit at assigning the names together.
A filter bar above the right hand side chane info , so when you have 100's of
channels its not such a chore to fidn the right one you are after (especially if there a duplicate entries and ONE is wrong)
And lastly , has someone got a freeview and freesat scan cache file for the last week they could post for me please.
hi
i was thinking about a feature that will continue to play a movie even if its split into multipule files.
i use bsplayer on my laptop and if i have a movie that is split into multipule files for example
The Abyss - cd1
The Abyss - cd2
The Abyss - cd3
then the gbpvr player will stop after each file (usually its in the peak of an action scene - murphy's law i guess).
can it be implemented that if a file is split into multuple files, the movie will continue?
i download ac3 or DTS movies and they generally arrive in 2 or 3 files.
i can always merge them into one but merging the subtitle files are a pain.
thanks for creating this awsum awsum program.
if you have 5 minute to spear, it will be cool to implement maybe skype with video and audio support plugin, that way you can really have a central computer.
Is this possible? We like to move the PC with GBPVR into another room (the office) and still use it to record and show movies on the tv, which is in the living room. Is it posible to change channels, start recordings etc. using a remote control in the living room? At the moment we have an Hauppauge PVR-150. What more do we need to accomplish this?
I have thought about using maybe Popcorn, Playstation 3 or perhaps Seagate SGFAMPTV or Trekstore TSANTAURIUS.
Any other good ideas?
When watching a recording if I click either of the rewind buttons, it skips about 15 seconds FORWARD. Am I missing something? I found the option to specify how many seconds to skip back but it has no affect. I read other posts about switching from winding to skipping but cannot find this option.
I have upgraded to the latest version and have .ts files with default settings.
