Just installed a TechniSat SkyStar HD2 and i can get most of the channels sorted but am having real difficulties getting ITV HD working. I've checked various threads on the forum and none of the solutions offered there have worked. I can see ITV HD shown in the list of channels after i've done a scan, but i can't enable the channel.
If i enable it and then save the screen, the next time i go back into the same screen the channel isn't enabled.
I may have posted this in the wrong place. I'm looking for help getting IR Server to work with GBPVR and my cable box. I can't follow the wiki instructions. Full description of my problem is here:
I have been working on an update for the WebRadio plugin, together with an updated skin file.
I have been collecting RadioLogos and added Radio stations for some countries. But help is needed for other countries than the Scandinavian.
Is there anyone that have made a channel list for other countires or is willing to help with stream URLs?
Also some programming help to resolve streams would be needed.
Please post Station Lists here or PM me, so I can include them before I make the update public.
Since I just went through hours of trying get GBPVR running again I would like to start using something that does incremental backups of the system like Norton Ghost but I am looking for a freeware program. For those of you that use one which do you recommend?
Folks, I need GBPVR to control channel changes on my Time Warner Cable Box. I have a Hauppauge 150 PVR 150 MCE kit, which comes with a remote, a USB device to capture signals, and an infra-red blaster cable. The USB gizmo seems to work with the Hauppauge software to change channels. Now I need to get it to work with GBPVR and my cable box.
I have followed the directions here to install IRServer.
I've installed the IR Server software. The first installation instruction in the wiki says to use the "File" "Import" command to import this file:
Download:gbpvr.xml.zip
However, there is no "File" command in the IR Server software. It is open to a page that says "Device Plugins" and then lists about 20 devices with checkmarks next to each one for "receive" "Transmit" and boxes for "configure." The top menu says "Detect" and "Advance." Detect doesn't seem to do anything.
Currently "Play All" will play the file list from the very beginning. Is there any way to play back from selected points in the file list? Sometimes I have a long list of small video files that I stopped watching but would like to continue from where I've left off with the "Play All" function.
Has anyone got this combination to work? I loaded W7 X64 and the only drivers I could get to load were the 4.8a cd. I wasn't able to get qam to work in GB-PVR or media center. I was able to scan in Wintv and it found some channels with nothing there. The only drivers I've ever been able to get Qam to work with are the 3.4a cd. I've reinstalled my image of xp and everything is working again but I'd like to make the switch to a 64 bit OS to be able to use more ram.
I'm having problems with my GB-PVR install. Everything works great with my WinPVR software, image quality is great and all the expected channels are in place.
However in GB-PVR my channel quality is ppor at best, channels are missing. I can't seem to fix the problem.
I was hoping that someone might know a way to fix this problem.
GBPVR stopped working for me. I was getting a .NET error of "Invalid character in the given encoding Line 632, position 153" So I uninstalled and tried to reinstall but now I get the same message BertB gets. "Installation ended prematurely because of an error" I used SystemSharks recommendation of "MSIEXEC /i "C:\temp\GBPVR.msi" /L*v "C:\TEMP\GBPVR.txt" " which gives me the attached log.
Any ideas of a fix?
I'm attempting to use a laptop as a GB-PVR client machine. I've installed version 1.2.13 and configured the app to point to the shared livetv, recordings and server name. When I start PVRX2 the menu comes up and I can browse the recordings directory but when I hit Play the machine locks up. Is this just an indication that the laptop doesn't have the resources to run as a client? Or might it be a codec issue?
Attached are the logs - appreciate any help you can offer.
