Is there a way to perform a blind scan on a satellite using the config utility? If not, is there any other 3rd part app that will do it with standard BDA drivers?

I just upgraded to 1.3.11. Older versions of GBPVR supported queuing up more songs in the standard Music Library by pressing the Yellow button on the hauppauge remote. This does not seem to work for me on 1.3.11. Is this functionality still supported in 1.3.11?

Alternatively I could install MusicLibrary2 to get this functionality....I think.

Sourceforge has been upgrading (finally) many of their tools for project management to use some of the industry best open source solutions. With these recent changes, CDK Scheduler and XSuite have migrated to using a Trac wiki. This will also replace the prior bug reporting tool which was a sourceforge homegrown app.

Note when reporting bugs with the New software, you must be logged into Sourceforge, it won't allow anonymous reporting.

I restarted my computer this morning and since then i have not been able to run GB-PVR without it locking up or showing no video. When i checked the GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log i found a line that showed "2009-08-03 14:11:57.656 ERROR [5] Found expired lease. Stopping recording."

any idea why i would get this?

Recently, I discovered that the EPG had no information for the SciFi channel. I remembered that it had recently changed name from SciFi to SyFy so I looked in the EPG section of the capture device configuration and sure enough.... SciFi was listed on channel 56 (the correct channel) and SyFy was listed as channel 100.

What I ended up doing was deleting SciFi (channel 56) from the capture device EPG configuration and changing the channel for the SyFy listing from 100 to 56. This seemed to propagate to the onscreen EPG and I once again had program information. But I noticed that if I updated the EPG manually, it replaced SciFi on 56 and reverted SyFy to channel 100.

Is this a SchedulesDirect issue? How should I deal with it correctly? I've never been clear on how to manually change EPG channels. Did GBPVR assign channel 100 to SyFy because 56 was already in use by the discontinued SciFi?

some odds & sods that someone might find useful;

I've found that a fair amount of content on UK free-to-air channels is letterboxed 14:9 (oddly I've yet to see anything 16:9 letterbox, although I've heard it does happen), but there's no aspect setting for this format in GBPVR's default configuration file.

I've renamed "remove Letterbox" as "16:9 Letterbox" and added a "14:9 Letterbox". Below is the relevent bit of config.xml. The numbers are bit messy - I arrived at the them pretty much by trial and error, so they probably don't correspond with correct mathematically derived ones.

Note the global zoom of 1.07 to make better use of my 16:10 monitor (the left/right cropping on 16:9 and top/bottom on 4:3 this imposes would normally be over-scan anyway), without it you'd need different numbers for the aspect settings.

"Zoom 1" and "Zoom 2" are for anamorphic content. I occasionally find that the use of theatrical 2.35:1 - 2.4:1 transfers of movies is gratuitous. These zoom them to (roughly) 2.0:1 and 1.8:1 respectively.

Is there a way to have GBPVR not display video files that have the hidden attrib set ?

I use Miro to download video files, then my own util to convert them to mpeg for use with my MVP. If I delete the files, then Miro shows them as undownloaded. If I leave the file there, then Miro works fine, but GBPVR shows me 2 copies of the video. My util now replaces the orig file with a file of 0 length, and sets the hidden attrib. This fools Miro into flagging it as downloaded (good), but GBPVR still shows the file (drat).

im just adding a few tweaks to the Videos plugin im working onto work better with unraid (mysql support, linux filewatcher) and wondering how many people are actually using unraid.

its basically a linux software RAID array, but more flexible. and since its linux, you can run mysql, rtorrent, or anything u basically want on it.
