I am trying to stream on the locaL network, but I get this error message: "VLC is unable to open the MRL 'http://stuen:7648. Check the log for details. I have installed VLC on both the server and the client pc. I have opend the port 7647 for GBPVR and 7648 for VLC on the server. EWA seems to work: I can see the tv-guide and so on.

need help with MDapi / DVB-T Conax
Posted by: cybermaus - 2009-08-02, 06:14 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (19)

Hi

at this point, I solved almost all my problems. Got a better MPEG decoder to avoid stuttering playback, and a new antenna and new coax cable to get me a decent signal.

But one issue remains: encrypted channels.

I got it to work, with both acamd and yankse. And I have a selection of 5 different mdapifilters and 5 different TS mux to test combinations

But I get this behaviour on all:

- Disable MDapi => near perfect FTA channels
- Enable MDapi and FTA channels become heavily artefacted in live, but still near perfect in record/playback
- Encrypted channels do decode, but are extremely artefacted in live, and heavily artefacted in record/playback
- CPU is never too high

It seems to not matter which version of mdapi or mux I take.

Who can help? Who can explain why live and record behave different? What logs should I provide?

Thanks

A mdapifilter.log of a few seconds of FTA, causing artefacts.

P4 2.6GHz 768Mb Hauppage NOVA T500 dual DVB-T
dedicated system Win XP Sp3 (with quartz & usbehci fixes).

[Edit] I am working with a valid subscription smartcart. No use asking me for conax keyfiles, sorry.

Gb-pvr hvr1600 usb receiver with IR configuration
Posted by: entros - 2009-08-02, 06:06 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

I recently purchased a HVR1600 and I have it working with my PC for video capture. I also have the USB receiver propperly functioning since I am able to use the remote to navigate menus with in GB-pvr. I am unable though to change the channels on my expressvu 3100 receiver. How should this be configured. Should I use the x blaster option and select haupageblaster.exe? Can someone provide some guidance please. I have the MCE 2005 option selected but the receiver is not seing my IR commands and changing channels.

mc2xml EPG update offset by 8hrs
Posted by: venkman - 2009-08-02, 03:43 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hi All,

For the past day or so, I've noticed none of my programs appear correctly in the guide. I compared with what's on Yahoo TV and found that the EPG is offset by 8hours.
So, a program that is actually at 1000hours is listed at 1600hours.
I have mc2xml, downloaded the latest, and the correct lineup selected.

I tried the offset in the config and I didn't see any shift in the schedule. As a test I replaced the offset within the xmltv xml file to +0800, and that corrected the guide.

The lineup selected: Jersey City Comcast cable (standard)

Thanks in advance!

Problem with watching live TV on GB-PVR
Posted by: idiamant - 2009-08-02, 02:34 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (28)

Hi,

I've installed GBPVR on my Vista computer, installed the haupauge pvr 150 mce card, and when clicking on live-tv the screen freeze for 2 sec, and then releases, and doesn't enter to the live-tv.
I am not sure if I configured it correctly.
I have a set top box of digital cable, connected to the pvr150 through 3 colored cables (red white and yellow).
I have tried configuring the gbpvr with analog recording plugin, using the hauppauge card, my country, capture device #1, and Composite External Tuner. Also tried the Internal Tuner with no success (I have Antenna connected to the tuner as well).

When trying to watch, it doesn't show anything. doesn't get into the live-tv screen at all.

What should I do to solve the issue?
The EPG is working correctly.

Regards,

Ido

No sound from AverTVHD Volar Max
Posted by: lunarlightning - 2009-08-02, 01:17 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I just pick up an AverTVHD Volar Max, it's media center is crap, and only picks up half my channels, so I decided to give GBPVR a try.

Cool software, nicely done! Picks up every channel I'm expecting, unfortunately there is no sound. The AverMedia center does have sound for the channels that it will tune.

System stats:

Windows XP SP3
GB-PVR v1.3.11, fresh install, no extra plugins added.
Comcast Digital Cable, channels scan as QAM AC3
For device type I click 'Only Show devices detected' to true and selected "AverMedia H826 Hybrid Volar Max (QAM)"

Any help would be appriciated.

  Dolphin emulator
Posted by: mpadilla2 - 2009-08-02, 12:52 PM - Forum: GameZone - No Replies

I got Dolphin running this morning. I was running into a memory error but followed the two fixes here and it worked:

http://forums.ngemu.com/dolphin-discussi...ost1694316

This memory error is some kind of bug in dolphin because people with over 3gb of memory were also reporting it.

I then looked at only the compatible roms with a green dot (definitely will play) here:

http://www.dolphin-emu.com/list.php?listcount=16

I was successful at playing cubivore and zoocube.

  GBPVR Video Directories on PCH
Posted by: reyn - 2009-08-02, 10:17 AM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (5)

I have my videos stored on a Windows Home Server Share \\WHSERVER\Videos
with sub-directories like \\WHSERVER\Videos\Lightroom, in the Directories tab of GBPVR config I have browsed to the network location and selected \\WHSERVER\Videos and given it an alias of WHSVIDEOS.
I can select and play the videos in all the directories when I use the PCH Media Sources, Network Browser. When I start mvpmcx2 from the Web Services and select the Video Library in GBPVR I can see the alias WHSVIDEOS but when I select it nothing happens ie it does not drill down to the sub-directory.
The GBPVR Client on the server works fine and finds all the directories.
As a test I put the same video on the GBPVR server local disk and this works using mvpmxc2 on the PCH.
Where I am lost is if it is a networking problem why does the PCH have no problems using the Network Browser to find the directories and play the videos?
I have the Guest account on both the GBPVR server and the WHS Server.
Any ideas would be most welcome.

  .ts teletext subtitles
Posted by: kendrak24 - 2009-08-02, 12:46 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

It seems teletext subtitles are recorded within the ts file, but they don't show during playback on the pc client. If I view the ts file in VLC the subtitles does show.
