  UbuStream and CS4 testers needed.
Posted by: Fatman_do - 2009-07-27, 11:07 PM - Forum: Community Announcements - Replies (7)

I think I may have the skin conversion for UbuStream ironed out for CommunitySkin v4.
EDIT: Did a quick conversion of UBURadio as well.

Right now, it only is working in the "SD" (4:3) version, and I need some people that really use this plugin (or would like too) to let me know if I have missed something.

Right now, the installer does 90% of the job, but there is a simple bit of file copying to do to get this to be functional.

I want to get some feedback before I put this version to bed and start on the widescreen version.

Download and install UbuStream.

Follow setup and configuration instructions for the plugin here.

Download and install CS4-SD test version.

Now you will need to manually copy the _CoreImages folder from \Skin2\Community-SD to \Skin\Community-SD. This step is going to be fixed in the final version.

CommonGBVRUtilities and GBPVRUIElements DLL files required are included in the install.

Please, when reporting any errors, zip and attach your logs after duplicating the error. If you think there are alignment issues or layout improvements, if you could, attach a screen shot showing problem area.

  Can't navigate DVD menu
Posted by: serafis - 2009-07-27, 08:15 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I have a DVD of Peter Gabriel's Growing Up - Live. It plays fine on a normal DVD player but in GBPVR I can't navigate the menu. The menu video and audio play, but none of the options are highlighted and the up/down/play buttons don't do anything, neither does clicking the menu items with the mouse. The left/right buttons also don't navigate - they bring up a sort of green GBPVR icon at the top of the screen; only the Stop button works as expected.

If I rip the DVD to files on disk (DVDRipper or DVDShrink), or ISO and play via Daemontools it still doesn't work. If I just rip the main movie, that plays fine (as you'd expect - but of course there's no menu or need for one!).

Funny thing is, if I play it in MediaPlayer from DVD or ISO it plays just fine; the menu works and all options are selectable. I don't know how to play ripped DVD files in MP other than the individual VOBs, so I can't test that.

My config settings are DVD Navigator, ffdshow video decoder, VRM9 exclusive video renderer, ffdshow audio decoder, System Default audio renderer. Graphedit confirms these are the settings being used.

I've tried other video and audio decoder combinations (ffdshow, cyberlink PVD7 and 9, MPC) but without success. I tried the Cyberlink DVD Navigator too but that wouldn't play at all.

This is under Windows XP/SP3, but I've also tried it under Windows 7 with the same issue - it plays in MCE but doesn't play in GBPVR.

All my other DVDs (physical, ripped or ISO) play fine. Just this one doesn't.

I would appreciate any help or ideas on this problem, as it has me stumped.

Thanks.

  Web Service URL
Posted by: reyn - 2009-07-27, 08:07 PM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (5)

I can see mvpmc on the web service list but when I try to load GBPVR from there I get an error about it cannot be processed. It runs fine from Media Sources. The URL the web service is trying to load is http://localhost:9999/mvpmcx2 gaya the url that is in gb-pvr.html is http://localhost.drives:8883/NETWORK SHARE/DELTA:mvpmc/gbpvr.cgi does the web service url require changing? (DELTA is the hostname).
Is there any way to start GB-PVR on the PCH startup, it's bad enough trying to explain changing to AV then selecting HDMI with the yellow button. I need to gain approval please help me!
Thank's
Frank

Manually added channels with 2+ identical tuners
Posted by: kendrak24 - 2009-07-27, 12:44 PM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

It would be nice if manually added channels could be treated as any other channel when you have more than one identical tuner, i.e. that it would only be listed once in the tv guide listing. As it is now, all manual channels are listed once for each tuner...

  Plugin for torrentclient transmission
Posted by: Stargrove1 - 2009-07-26, 03:19 PM - Forum: Wishlist - No Replies

Hi,

I saw that there is a frontend plugin using utorrent as the actual client. With the freetz project I have got the Linux torrent client transmission running on my router with an attached hd. As utorrent, transmission has a webclient. Is it possible to develop an frontend in gbpvr to show the informations and control elements in gbpvr?

Greats from germany
