Well, I seem to have things backwards this time. Last time I tried to set this up, I had tv but no guide. now I have guide but no tv. ??? I am scanning and getting all the channels that I am suppose to but when I go into the program, there is nothing there but static. anyone got a clue? I dont.
I appreciate the help and if there is anything I need to include, let me know...
Im running xp on a pent. 4 3.00 ghz 2 gb ram 250 gb seagate and a 32 inch lcd screen.
Hi,
If for some reason I can not get Moviewiz to find an image for a particular film, is there any way that I can either point moviewiz to an image that I've found myself online, or save that image on to my pc and then load it into moviewiz from there?
OK, just installed the latest GBPVR on an old XP machine and hooked it up to an HDTV running 1080p via a standard VGA connection. I have the aspect ratio in the config set to 16x9 all right, and the screen is set to 1080p resolution and everything looks fine, but any video I play is being clipped to fill the screen: e.g., if I play a 4x3 video like an old TV show, the show filles the screen horizontally and the top and bottom are clipped off. I have tried hitting F7 to no avail, and indeed if I try this with a DVD, it merely changes the audio track.
The menu and other screens look fine, and work all right in 16x9. It's just the videos.
I have another GBPVR install in the other room going to a 4x3 screen, and it works just fine. The videos render, F7 works as expected. Has the aspect ratio button been changed, or could something be superseding the command in some weird way, or what? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
For those in the US tonite (7/21/09) is your guide data correct? Mine has been an hour ahead tonite. The same thing in Windows Media Center (Vista). A manual update has not helped.
Finally have my gbpvr setup about the way I want but have one small issue. I would like to be able to program the GBPVR box remotely from my laptop, aka choose programs and recording times and all remotely. I have my laptop setup in client mode but it takes almost 3 minutes to load up the guide. If I want to schedule a show via the search guide it also takes a long time and when I do get the dates from my search it takes 30 seconds or more when you click on the date for the information to change. The system works it just works VERY VERY slow.
The gbpvr system is a celeron d 3.2 ghz with 1.5 gig ram and sata ii hard drive hardwired on 10/100 switched Ethernet. The remote system is a Pentium m 2.0ghz laptop with 2 gig ram on a wireless g network that is connected to the same switch as the gbpvr system. The network does not appear to be the problem as shares are accessed quickly.
Any ideas how to speed up my client access? I am currently in streaming mode though file share mode doesn't seem to help the situation.
When does the Reinitialise method get called? I have an image contained within a Hashtable, but I cannot get the updated image to appear. It will initially display, but an update will just blank it out.
Does the Reinitialise method come into this or how else does one do this when the image is in a Hashtable?
1. Installed a WinTV-HVR-950Q and tested it outside of GB-PVR
2. Installed version 1.3.11 of GB-PVR
3. Set up an account with schedules direct
4. Added a capture source (see attached picture labeled gb-prvr-
configuration-capture-screen.jpg)
5. The digital source configuration is set up as shown in the attached file
(gb-prvr-configuration-capture-screen-digital-source-config.jpg).
Note that the drop downs for Country and Region have no options to select
other than shown.
6. Emptied my epg (clicked "Empty epg") button on the "Edit Recording
Source" dialog
7. Selected all the channels in the "Edit Recording Source" window
(see attached picture labeled gb-pvr-configuration-capture-edit.jpg)
8. Clicked "Update EPG"
9. After making sure all the channels were checked again, I clicked the "Map digital channels to epg channels button"
10. The result was the following screen shot (mapped.jpg) which appears to show a running tv show...
11. I then exited by clicking ok several times, stopped and restarted the service and ran pvrx2
12. I get nothing on either tv guide or live tv
(see tvguide.jpg and livetv.jpg)
I am totally stumped. I am attaching the images, plus the log files. If anyone could help, that would be GREATLY appreciated
After doing a new install i copied gbpvr.db3and config.xml across from previous install. I setup HIP again.
1.) Now in GBPVR any buttons pressed on MCE remote causes double movements in GBPVR. ... ie down arrow causes 2x movements
2.) No channel changes happens on STB --- nothing been sent to HIP.
If i disable hip then MCS remote still works in GBPVR. Looks like GBPVR recognises the MCE remote even though channel change is set to .exeplugin.
I have uninstalled, renamed GBPVR folder and installed fresh again. Set to no channel changer, but still GBPVR responds to MCE remote.
Any ideas where i have gone wrong?
I am using an MCE remote and HIP for channel changing of my STB. If there is another way to do it directly from GBPVR please suggest.
