  Library Controls - which to use?
Posted by: McBainUK - 2009-07-21, 09:47 AM - Forum: Developers - Replies (4)

I'm planning on starting work on a new plugin soon and currently considering options for the framework.

What is the plan for WizTools and the GBPVRLibrary and what would be involved with adding to them if I came across a metadata or control class that I'd like to use but doesn't exist yet?

Also, are there any docs on the GBPVRLibraryy? One of the things I liked about the the WizTools package was the docs for the skelton plugin and how it was very 'framework' based. What the overall goal / plan for the GBPVRLibraryand how does it fit in to the current GB-PVR plugin framework?

  Help With FusionHDTV7 Dual Express
Posted by: SuperDrew - 2009-07-21, 05:12 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Hi, I am using gbpvr with a FusionHDTV7 Dual Express tuner card. I am totally new to this, so my apologies if it doesn't make sense.

I live in Korea, so am still using analog cable. The thing is that in gbpvr, the FusionHDTV7 Dual Express only shows up as a digital card. This doesn't really do me any good. I know that this card can pick up the analog stations, because when I use the bundled Dvico software, I can see the tv fine.

So, I read the information in the wiki about adding an unsupported capture card. Of course this doesn't really say anything about adding an analog card, so I had to wing it myself.

I added this information to the Direct.ini file:

[INDENT][Fusion HDTV7 Dual Express Tuner 1]
FILTER_CROSSBAR=FusionHDTV, Crossbar
FILTER_CAPTURE=FusionHDTV, WDM Video Capture
FILTER_TV_TUNER=FusionHDTV, NTSC/ATSC WDM TvTuner1
FILTER_TV_AUDIO=FusionHDTV, TvAudio
PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_TUNER_IN=Video Tuner In
PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_TUNER_IN=Audio Tuner In
PIN_CROSSBAR_VIDEO_DECODER_OUT=Video Decoder Out
PIN_CROSSBAR_AUDIO_DECODER_OUT=Audio Decoder Out
PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_VIDEO_OUT=Analog Video
PIN_TVTUNER_ANALOG_AUDIO_OUT=Analog Audio
PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_IN=TVAudio In
PIN_TVAUDIO_TV_AUDIO_OUT=TVAudio Out
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_VIDEO_IN=Analog Video In
PIN_CAPTURE_ANALOG_AUDIO_IN=Analog Audio In
PIN_CAPTURE_PREVIEW_AUDIO_OUT=Audio Out
PIN_CAPTURE_I2S_OUT=I2S
PIN_CAPTURE_656_OUT=656
PIN_ENCODER_I2S_IN=I2S
PIN_ENCODER_656_IN=656
PIN_ENCODER_OUT=MPEG
PIN_WRITER_INPUT_IN=Input[/INDENT]

I found the filter information using the GraphEdit software recommended in the wiki article I mentioned before.

The thing is, it doesn't work. When I go into config, the config program recognizes the card as an analog card (I hit the checkbox that says 'Only show devices detected in this machine' and it stays there). But, when I go into the media center itself and try to enter 'Live TV', it is just a black screen with the channel information on the bottom.

So, I feel like I must almost have the correct information added to Direct.ini. Does anyone have any knowledge about what I might need to change to get this thing working? Thanks a lot!

  Gbpvr Duplicating Channel Change Numbers And/Or No Numbers
Posted by: DoPeFiSh - 2009-07-21, 12:12 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (13)

Ok, I originally thought this problem was HIP but I turned off hip and started Gbpvr and used the mouse to change channels, Sometimes it goes to the right channels and sometimes it doesn't, I.E. I clicked channel up to channel 51 and the USBUirt flashed as normal but the tv changed to 551 then I clicked down and it went to channel 51, sometimes it misses numbers and like goes to 2 instead of 23, it sometimes does this and sometimes it works fine, Do you think its my IR Definition files ? I use 2 amino tv boxes, a usbuirt and the split blaster cable for each cable box......

Thanks

  need win7 user with hip and/or mce remote
Posted by: pBS - 2009-07-20, 10:50 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (5)

anybody got win7 and want to test a fix for HIP and MCE remotes?

just save this as a batch file and run it..

Code:
reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\HidIr\Remotes\745a17a0-74d3-11d0-b6fe-00a0c90f57da" /v "CodeSetNum0" /t REG_DWORD /d "2" /f reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\HidIr\Remotes\745a17a0-74d3-11d0-b6fe-00a0c90f57da" /v "CodeSetNum1" /t REG_DWORD /d "2" /f reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\HidIr\Remotes\745a17a0-74d3-11d0-b6fe-00a0c90f57da" /v "CodeSetNum2" /t REG_DWORD /d "2" /f reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\HidIr\Remotes\745a17a0-74d3-11d0-b6fe-00a0c90f57da" /v "CodeSetNum3" /t REG_DWORD /d "2" /f

and hip no longer has double key presses so hip can control it..
then setup your hip by placing the files pvrx2.hpg and mceremote-new.hkm from http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=42793 in hip dir and importing them as remote and program info and hip should be setup with all keys mapped..Big Grin
let me know if i missed any pvrx2 keys or remote buttons..

no need for alt driver, use native win7 driver...

  WizTools: Updating @image within Hashtable
Posted by: scb147 - 2009-07-20, 08:22 PM - Forum: SearchWiz & MovieWiz - Replies (2)

I'm playing around with plugin development and I am stuck.

I am trying to update the "@image" key within a WizUiLabel, using a hashtable and have had limited success.

I want to be able to have a List of Hashtables that I can change on the display. The Hashtable has 2 string keys and 1 image key.

If I want to change to item #2 in the Hashtable, what do I need to do with the WizUiLabel in order to display it? Do I need to dispose it and create a new one linking to the new Hashtable?

Thanks for any help.

  MVPMCX2, PCH and Windows Home Server
Posted by: agerdin - 2009-07-20, 06:18 PM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (6)

I have got myself a WHS and moved all my media there. Things works fine, from my PCHs I can reach all my files using a PCH account created on the WHS. Also, using GBPVR on my computer I can reach the files as they are mapped to 3 network drives (x: (Movies), y: (Music) and z: (Pictures)). Also this is through an account on the WHS. However, running GBPVR on my PCH I am not able to see anyting. Nothing happens when I try to enter my movies for example. I guess its related to accounts and access of some kind, but I am not sure where to start. I tried to enable guest account but to no avail.

Anyone have any idea of what I need to do or if there are anything to look for in the logs.

Thanks,

\\Agerdin

  TimelineIgnoredAd
Posted by: Satori - 2009-07-20, 05:50 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I have a bunch of errors in my log that say:

2009-07-18 22:07:50.106 ERROR [1] Unable to find brush node: /settings/NamedColors/NamedColor[@name="TimelineIgnoredAd"]

They caused my system to not be able to go to the guide. It went away after a reboot, so it is not a big deal. I am guessing it was a one off.

I saw this post:
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...eignoredad

Should I add the string as mentioned in the post?

  Problem with live TV sound
Posted by: cj1 - 2009-07-20, 05:29 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I am new at this and i am having a problem that I need help with.

I am losing sound in live TV about 15 seconds or so into watching any given channel. If back out to the guide and go back to the channel, the sound works again for about 15 seconds. Sound is solid for the first 5-10 seconds, then it crackles and quickly degrades to no sound. It happens on both digital and analog channels.

TV recordings work fine, no glitches in playback for both digital and analog (I haven't tested anything longer than about 5 minutes).

I keep thinking this is a codec problem, but I've tried a bunch of different audio codecs with the same exact result. I had a similar problem with my video at first (stuttering and stopping), installing SageTV fixed that, so it looks like GBPVR is using that video codec (this is sure to be another problem when I uninstall Sagetv).

WinTV, SageTV, and Mediaportal all play live TV fine. I spent the weekend installing and playing with these 4 programs and GBPVR has the system and the support community that I like the most.

I'm attaching all of my logs, I have no plugins that I know of.
Version 1.3.11
Tuner: Hauppauge 2250
Video: ATI HD4550
Processor: AMD X2 5600

If anybody has any ideas, I would be very grateful.

Cheers,

CJ

  Lousy standard def quality on Hauppauge HDPVR
Posted by: potatocouch - 2009-07-20, 03:30 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (9)

All this time, I've been testing my HDPVR using an HD channel from my cable box, and was having good results. When I try an SD channel, the picture quality becomes down right lowsy, and the audio gets "wobbly" (I can hear pitch changes in music). When I tune into an SD channel, the screen starts out green, and it takes a while for the (lousy) picture to take form. I have the same problem using TME. Anyone else have this problem?

I'm using updated Arcsoft decoders and HDPVR driver version is 1.5.6. And my hardware revision is C2.

I still have a PVR-150 and I'm thinking of using the S-Video input of that to capture SD channels. Then I'd have lots of free decoding/upscaling options available to me. The downside would be that I won't have digital audio with the PVR-150. Can someone recommend a good SD capture card with digital audio capture?
