  No signal detected pop-up
Posted by: Pob - 2009-06-21, 12:41 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I have started to get the no signal pop-up when viewing LuxeHD - sometimes after a few seconds, sometimes after a few minutes.
I am using Eurobird 1 & Astra 2A/2B/2D in the UK.
The signal quality of Luxe and the other Eurobird channels is lower than the Astra ones - typically 100% signal strength and 70% quality compared to 100/90 from Astra.
But in other apps (DVBDream) Luxe HD does work fine...
I have all the patches applied - so is GBPVR a bit more fussy about signal quality?
Perhaps some other UK users could let me know if LuxeHD is working for them - and no, I don't often watch Luxe, but we only have 3 HD channels free-to-view in the UK, and it makes a nice wallpaper until the scenery channel 'broadcasting beautiful views 24 hours a day' comes along!

  MovieWiz v1.0.26.0 Released
Posted by: JavaWiz - 2009-06-20, 11:54 PM - Forum: SearchWiz & MovieWiz - Replies (2)

06/20/2009 : 1.0.26.0 (WizUiHelper v1.0.22.2, WizWebHelper v1.0.12.5, WizGenHelper v1.0.0.4)

  • MovieWizManager - Provide ability to mange 'folded' entries. If you have a series of files that make up a video (ie Movie.CD1.mpg, Movie.CD2.mpg,...), you may now 'fold' them into a single entry via the Manage Content tab. When you play the entry, each file will be played in order.
  • MovieWizManager - Fix bug where thumbnail did not save correctly on local lookup.
  • Plugin/Manager - Add key on Title, this should speed things up a bit.
Not alot of changes here, but the fold feature is one that has been requested more than once.

It allows you to 'fold' a collection of video files with similar names and treat as a single entry.

For example: If you had American.Gangster.CD1.avi and American.Gangster.CD2.avi, you could set this as a single entry in MovieWiz (American.Gangster.CD*.avi), and it would list and play as a single file.

  UltraXMLTV noob difficulties
Posted by: berminghamd1 - 2009-06-20, 06:56 PM - Forum: ZTools and UltraXMLTV - Replies (2)

So I've followed the directions for setting up UltraXMLTV as listed in the wiki. I'm using mc2xml to get my EPG listing. I'm using "Zehd's Picks" as my default.

UltraXMLTV seems to be recoding the xml file properly (I've done a before/after comparison), yet the information displayed when I'm running GBPVR and looking at the guide isn't any different.

For example, I'm not getting any of the actor/director information, even though that information is in my xml file.

I'm running GBPVR 1.3.11, and UltraXMLTV version 2.

Is there something I'm just totally missing that I should have done configuration-wise?

  Help on digital channel mapping
Posted by: myasus - 2009-06-20, 02:50 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (19)

I have two digital hdtv tuners: FusionHDTV5 RT Lite and Mygica U6012. I tried to do mapping for both cards, but neither worked Sad

I searched the passed posts on FusionHDTV5 , seems this still has problem to work in gbpvr. But why it is still listed in supported hardware :confused:

For Mygica U6012, it is not listed. So I add these lines in bda.ini following the gbpvr wiki:

[HDTV Stick]
TUNING_TYPE=ATSC
FILTER_TUNER=HDTV Stick Digital Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=HDTV Stick Digital Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

But still I can not find any channel Sad The ArcSoft ToolMedia 3.5 (come with Mygica U6012) can detect >100 channels w/o any problem. Can anybody help me to configure this tuner? I have attached the filtercheck log and the config logs with this post. Thanks a lot for your help.

  Daemon tools ISO playback failure
Posted by: buzzydotinfo - 2009-06-20, 07:12 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (11)

Hi all,

I'm trying to get GBPVR to play back ISO files, but I'm running into problems. I've got Daemon Tools 4.30.1 and GBPVR 1.3.11 installed.

Proper physical DVDs play back fine, but when I go to the Video Library and select an ISO file I just get a black screen.

If there's a physical DVD in the drive, GBPVR will play that back instead.

If I've already mounted the ISO image outside of GBPVR (by double-clicking it in Windows Explorer), GBPVR will play it when I select the ISO in GBPVR. At least this tells me there's no codec problem.

All I can see in the logs is:
2009-06-20 19:06:40.560 ERROR pDvdControl->SetDVDDirectory() failed

Any advice appreciated.

Cheers
Buzzy

EPG data is not showing up in the TV Guide.

I clicked "Update EPG" and attached the config.exe.log file.

  Set Process Priority of ffmpeg
Posted by: gnutech - 2009-06-20, 05:54 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Is there a way to set the process priority that gbpvr 1.3.11 starts up ffmpeg with when transcoding? By default, I've noticed that when ffmpeg is started by gbpvr it starts up set at the belownormal process priority. My system is not dedicated to gbpvr. However, when I do decide to use gbpvr I want to ensure that ffmpeg transcodes at an abovenormal process priority to keep up with my viewing.

Thank you for your assistance.

Kind Regards,

Gary

  oh boy...
Posted by: grangeomatic - 2009-06-20, 05:03 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I may have really done it now...
I was in the standard video library when I saw a folder that I didn't think should be there. it was called "shortcut to local disk c:" or something. I had gotten sick of looking at it. I figured i must've inadvertantly created some short cut one time so I deleted it through GB-PVR. As soon as my hard drive started churning I knew I had goofed.
Anyway, this appears to have crippled my computer and deleted a boat load of stuff from my C drive. Is this correct? And if so, why is it there at all?
Anyway - moot questions.
Is there any way I can recover from this?
Luckily, I've got this laptop that'll let me do things, because my main computer even had a hard time displaying web pages, now.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeff
