Is there a way to have GBPVR delete the .ts file when it deletes a show?
I'm recording .ts files and converting to .mpg in postprocessing.bat. I keep the original .ts file just in case the transcode doesn't go well. However, I'm getting a build-up of .ts files because they don't get deleted when the show is deleted.
I was trying to install Ultr2 last night and not only was I not successful but I now also can't up-date my EPG in gbpvr. When I try I get a fail massage that says "Your EPG source does not appear to be configured correctly. Please check the EPG source settings and try again" I use Schedules Direct and my log in information seams fine. I then removed both gbpvr and Ultra2 programs and then reinstalled only gbpvr. Unfortunately my problem still remains.
I have problems with my cinema plugin. I tried 3 cinemas in Göteborg (gothenburg), sweden... their ID is: 4, 1163 and 243. None of them worked
The one with the ID 4 doesn´t even show the name of the cinema. it just shows: |?|. The other two show the name but not the swedish letters. And none of the show movie info or trailers
according to the wiki I should get the information for the cinema IDs from http://www.bioprogrammet.nu. I did!
This is a very strange problem I've run across from time to time, very sporadic and random. Every so often the recordings will just have a really bad picture and no audio. A reboot seems to fix this, at least for awhile, but I'd like to know (if possible) what's causing it, if it can be fixed once and for all. 2 Hauppauge PVR-150 cards, analog cable, Intel CPU, VIA chipset motherboard, XP32/SP3. This particular time, it seemed to happen with back-to-back recordings, I don't recall if that was the case the last time this happened. Logs and picture attached. I'm not sure if they'll help at all, but I'm not sure what else to try at this point.
I have noticed if you try to cancel the recording while the GBPVR is doing its recording, you need to enter the menu twice in order for the recording to be cancelled. For instance, you pick the recording which currently on going and you click cancel and followed by OK nothing will happen. You will have to pick the recording again and click cancel and followed by OK for the second time then the recording will be cancelled. Is this the bug in the pvrx2 or feature? Thanks.
I try to kick my analog Hauppauge PVR350 out of my system because I changed to a digital TT card. My only problem is that I am using the ir from the hauppauge. But I found the winlirc guide and took the old winlirc receiver out of the hardware box. But when I tried to learn the hauppauge remote (this one: http://www.hauppauge.com/images/new_remote.jpg) I didn't get a consitant signal, it seems like the signal toggles between two different codes by each button press. Does anybody use this constelation? Is there a workaround for this prob?
Over the years, when GBPVR has occasionally crashed (usually my fault), I've always wondered if it is helpful to GBPVR development to send the error report to Microsoft. Do they pass along this kind of thing and is it useful to send in??
Hello. I am trying to use GB-PVR to record shows from a Sagem Digital Cable TV Tuner. I have an Acer L250 Livingcenter PC with a Hauppauge WinTV 88x chipset TV card running Vista MCE. The tuner is connected to the S-Video input on the card.
I use Vista MCE to record from analog TV channels (via the coaxial input) but since I could not find a way to select other inputs from Vista MCE, I installed GB-PVR.
I added the "External S-Video" capture source, and now I am able to view the live image from my TV tuner box via GB-PVR. However, the image seems to be clipped, for example I cannot see the subtitles in the lower end of the TV image.
I have played around with aspect ratio settings in the config.xml file, and I am able to squeeze the image. However, when I squeeze the image it is still clipped, and the lower part of the screen becomes black (instead of showing the lower part of the image containing subtitles etc.)
When I watch video on the S-Video input via the Hauppauge WinTV 2000 application, the image looks fine (no clipping occurs).
My GBPVR just started with this prob yesterday.
From main menu i select "recordings". The recordings menu displayes for about a second and then reurns back to the main menu. I have restarted the computer, but to no effect.
