I like the way that Gb-Pvr works , but if it could use my 3 partition on my hdd it could be usefull , cause all my music and video are in the d: not in my C: because I can't keep them on on the disk, too large video size and no time to convert them ...
maby more animation should be great to ^^

I have been using Live TV without problems for over a year. Now live tv is out of sync with my cable box. When I go into live tv it stays on the last channel I was watching but changes my cable box to channel 3, and I get a black screen with screeching audio. If I navigate GBPVR to channel 3 I get back in sync. Then, when I change my box with the remote, live tv reflects the channel that the tv is on but the controls at the bottom of the live tv screen stay on channel3.
I have had a couple of other problems lately but have resolved them with the help of GBPVR's knowledgable members.
The only change that I made before my problems started was to add custom tasks for Hulu and Zinc.
Been having an issue for a long time with Live-TV tuning.
Most of the time when loading PVRX2.exe, slecting TV Guide and then a program to watch results in a no-signal error. Changing channels makes no difference. If I quit and then restart PVRX2.exe and select a channel to watch it may work.
I've just been through a session of loading, selecting a channel to watch, no-signal, quit, re-load over 20 times before it would lock on to a channel. Usually it'll lock within 3 or 4 attempts.
If I remove the T-500 tuners from the config and use just the HVR-1300 then I have no problems whatsoever. I have it configured to use the HVR-1300 as the 1st recording card due to its reliabililty and have put-up with the T-500 being intermittent. Most recordings will also fail with the same problem if the HVR-1300 is already recording.
I've had this issue ever since moving to 64-bit windows, whether Vista64 or my current Win7-7201x64. Drivers are the latest WinTV7 CD1.1b.
It'd be nice if I could just fire-up PVRX2.exe and start watching immediately but I get the feeling this is something to do with the T-500 being a hybrid USB-PCI card. As a side issue the card is not detected correctly on every boot, sometimes its found as a 'DT-FW firmware downloader'. Whenever this happens I re-boot to ensure its detecting correctly before I start using the machine.

Hi. Ive recently changed over from XP 32bit to the 64bit version. I have a Hauppauge Nova-T USB 2 DVB-T stick. It worked fine in XP 32bit but now GBPVR wont recognise it in XP 64bit. When i click to show only attached devices in config it doesnt find it like it did in XP 32bit. It works fine with WinTV 7. I get all the channels and radio stations. Anyone else had this problem?? Thanks in advance.
Okay, I had found this on the wiki previously as well and tried it, but I can't seem to make it work and have a couple of questions. Keep in mind I'm a green weenie when it comes to Linux.
1. With the new NMTInstall, there is no script.cgi - so I put it in gbpvr.cgi in the ELSE section after the mount of /etc/mvpmc - is that okay?
2. I tried the telnet test, and the LS command comes back with no results (just a blank line). I do have the the VIDEO_TS files in subfolders, is that a problem? I tried modifying the LS command to view a subfolder, but it comes back with "No such file or directory". Note that it does not give this response to the main folder I used in the MOUNT command, so I presume the MOUNT worked but I can't see the subfolders for some reason.
3. Where in the GB-PVR client app do you find the DVD playback option? Should it show up as a folder in the Video Library?
4. I do have the same folder configured in GB-PVR in the Video Library so I can watch the DVDs on my PVR PC, and the folder therefore also shows up in the Video Library on the NMT. The DVDs won't play through the NMT, I presume because GB-PVR won't stream them, as stated elsewhere. Could there be a problem with this (duplication?) or are the two unrelated?
I found the solution to a problem that's been annoying me for months. I thought I'd post it here for future reference.
The symptom is that the digital tuners don't work. I'd get nothing - no black screen. It would just refuse to leave the guide. It did this for both my QAM (HVR1600) and my DVB-S (Hauppauge 1020A) tuners. The problem could be fixed by turning off MDAPI support (I'm using MDAPI 2009) in config. I only needed MDAPI for the DVB-S tuner, but if it was enabled, the QAM tuner would fail too. Analog worked fine.
The error in logs would say :

FATAL UNHANDLED EXCEPTION:: System.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.
Nothing I did would fix this problem. I'd ultimately turn off MDAPI, then a week or a month later, I'd screw up my resolve and try to solve the problem again, I'd turn on MDAPI support and surprise - it would be working!
It turned out that the fix was to remove power completely. A reboot wouldn't be enough. A normal power off wouldn't be enough. I needed to physically unplug and remove all power connections from the machine. I suspect the problem resides in one of the two tuners, but can't be sure.
My system isn't really typical - I have two separate power supplies, one of which is modified to turn on when I turn the other on with the case power switch. I also have modified the internal DVB-S card to accept external DC power to power the LNBF (I pulled this power cord as well).
I'm not sure if these mods relate to the problem, but if you have a problem that seems similar in any way - try the complete power off solution before you change too many software settings as you attempt to fix it.
Hello everyone.
Until recently I could record BBC HD and get a perfect SRT file from the teletext subtitles on page 888. This seems to have stopped working and still didn't work when, after trying everything else, I retrograded my whole XP Pro partition (inc GBPVR) using GHOST to a time when everything worked fine.
The log files show no problems with a connection to subtitle page 888, but I always finish up with a .SRT file of 0KB
I can't test teletext directly as I haven't a fast enough system. I play the recordings back through an HDX1000 NMT.
SRT files are created for all my SD recordings using DVR-MS so I imagine that the appropriate filters are correctly registered.
I'm out of ideas and beginning to wonder if BBC HD is quite simply not transmitting teletext subs any more.
Could somebody confirm to me that recording BBC HD subtitles still works for them? If so I'll follow up, post my logs and come begging for help

Is it me (as a relative newbie to DVB-S - I've been happily using GBPVR for analogue for three years) or is the digital recording process fragile?
What I mean is that when starting or pausing playback, or doing much else that involves a fair amount of IO, disk activity jumps and any ongoing recordings can not only show horrible pixellation, they quite often break. This means they're unplayable after the point in time when I paused or started playback of that or another recording. I lost the first 20 minutes of last weekend's F1 race that way (no great loss, some would say )...
My PVR PC is fairly low-specced for energy/heat reduction purposes but this does not seem to be a CPU-related but an IO-related issue. So the question is: has anyone else found this, and/or found a fix or amelioration?
One thought: is maybe the fact that both DVB-S tuners are on the PCI (not PCIe) bus an issue here?

I am trying to set up an HVR1600 to recive cable TV via WOW! in suburban Chicago (60452).
I have already gotten ATSC OTA working just fine, but when I tried to add QAM things didn't go as well.
Before I tried to use GBPVR I checked WinTV and tuningassistant.exe, both of which detect, and display, quite a few channels.
Since WinTV found channles propperly, but GBPVR didn't - I assumed the most likely error was how I set up.
So here is what I did.
under the capturwe source tab I clicked add.
Then for 'recording source' I selected Hauppauge HVR-1600 (QAM)
For EPG I used Schedules direct.
Then I clicked 'update EPG' and the proper listing were retrived.
But then, after selecting 'map digital channels to EPG channels' the scan returns an error than no channels were detected.
I am confused, Any help?
