I got a new 1600 card and i have been painstakingly trying to set up the digital (QAM) side of the card. After hours of having issues with GBPVR not being able to find a BDA Device I finally got that to work. (at one point ch. mapping was crashing the config interface).

Now I am able to scan channels but the return comes up emptyhanded. No channels. I replaced the PsiParser, and i have scanned using the qam.ini manager. I scanned on center frequencies and got som interesting results such as the image below. - signal at good quality, hmmm....

I am sure that my cable provider sends clear QAM chanels over because my TV internal tuner picks them up and a friend was able to pick them up on a hvr1800 from the same provider (and we are both running the same copy of windows xp pro, all current updates, sp3) . I know that my signal is good meter on the tv is steady around 90%, all high bandwidth splitters and d/a. installed in the house.

However I am NOT able to find any channels on the Hauppauge win tv setup either. i know that this is the first thing that i should probally get working...

Analog side works as expected.

I am testing the reliability of recording while my PC is in sleep mode. All I can say is that it is erratic. Last night at 22:46 I scheduled 5 overnight (early morning) recordings. Log file pvr2.exe-1 shows them being inserted. The pending log shows them as well at entry 7/6/2009 10:47 pm.

However, only the last one (Hi-5) actually recorded. The other 4 show as 'failed' and there are no entries at all for them in my Videos folder. Also, the log recordingservice.exe.native only shows windows being asked to be awake for the Hi-5 recording. So it looks like windows wakes the machine OK if it is asked, but if it isn't asked.....

Any ideas??

This is more for the EWA guys, just wondering would it be possible to have a "Queue up on Server" option in the EWA music library. Would be a neat way to control music in the living room without the TV on (e.g. from a Laptop, Blackberry, iPod Touch).

Don't know if this is possible with the current structure of the GBPVR programme, and I'm sure sub has thought of this, but what about the possibility of rewinding LiveTV using data from RAM.

I have Live Preview enabled in config because I find channel change too slow when disabled, but the rewind feature when disabled is really cool. If, when using Live Preview mode, the last 30 seconds (say) were kept in RAM and could be rewound, that'd be really cool. A 4 Mbps TV stream would only need about 15 Mb of RAM.

When I try to start PVRX2 I get an exception error

I can start and stop Config

Already planned recordings have been recorded but PVRX2 cannot be started.
I tried to disable firewall also but no change.

any ideas?

I have been using the community skin since it's intoduction. Yesterday I added custom tasks for Hulu and Zinc. Don't know if this was the issue, but my skin was no changed and now I cam't get it back. I uninstalled the custom tasks with no luck. I installed the new skin developed for wide screens, again withiut success. PVRX2 now crashes when I try to change my skin. I have attached the logs.

I have the remote that came with a PVR 150. I'd like to be able to use it with XBMC. Works great GB. The wiki on the XBMC site says you need to add <universalremote> sections to keymap.xml. But you also need to know the original button code for that specific remote. Anyone know the obc?

Do you have to add code to the irremote file as well?

I kept getting the notorious "Request Cannot be processed" error and I tried the usb-installation. I got the error with it too. So it can't be a share problem with my XP-machine? mvpmcx2 does work when i start it with telnet with the commands from .cgi file.

Any ideas how to get it to work again?

I can't seem to get skip ahead/back (Next/Prev on remote) to work in playback mode. the buttons just don't seem to do anything. I have <SkipInsteadOfFFRW> set to true in config.xml (I have 3 MVPs as well). Any ideas?

Also, the BLUE button doesn't bring up the minimal OSD (like it does on the MVP) for viewing the total time/progress during playback, should it?

I'm trying to play a blu-ray movie in mkv format on my tv through the pch. It's about a 30gb file. It starts out playing ok for 10 or 15 minutes then the video slows down and the sound disappears. I try to pause it to see if it can catch up, sometime it starts to work for a little bit more sometimes it won't work at all. Has anybody been able to successfully play a blu-ray like this or perhaps have a better method that works?
