NMT installer - Mayhem3 screen too large.
Posted by: cc1091 - 2009-06-10, 09:01 PM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (3)

I have used the generally excellent NMT installer to revive the GBPVR connection with my computer after I installed a hard drive into the NMT (A PCH-A110). After weeding out firwall problems, much is working fine now. But I am having a problem with the Mayhem3 screen (and in fact, also any screen that I select) extending beyond the width of my poor old 4:3 tube screen. I did select the 480 screen resolution option with the installer. After installation, I have also made sure that the GBPVR playback config still calls out a 4x3 shape (and it does). I have cleared any cache (i think) by pressing Filemode on the NMT's remote. I have tried all four of the NMT's screen settings (Fit to Screen, Fullsize, Crop, Actual Size) (NTSC setting with no framerate synching) with no change.
I use the composite output of the NMT which runs to my Home Theater's Preamp/Processor video input. From there, the composite video output of the Preamp/Processor runs to the composite input of my old Sony 4:3 tube television.

I have attached the most recent logs

Cannot play remote media from PCH
Posted by: ricocarlos - 2009-06-10, 07:46 PM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (1)

I've noticed that my old media directories no longer work. I can only access the ones that are local to the machine which is running gppvr. Is there a different way to set these?

  ATSC OTA Guide Info

Is there a way to obtain program guide data from the ATSC signal, rather than downloading the data from an internet based service?

Comskip timing mismatches with .mpg files converted from .ts files
Posted by: mickzed - 2009-06-10, 02:36 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Hi,

I have read with interest the following thread about the timing of comskip and .ts files and the understandable difficulties of getting gbpvr to playback .ts files and matching up with the comskip edl:

http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=39687

Because of a need to stream to a client machine and poor performance with ATI and numerous cyberlink muxes, I really like using the TS mux.

As part of my postprocessing.bat I do convert the .ts to .mpg using ffmpeg (with the -vcodec copy and -acodec copy - ie basic stream copy), then I run comskip on the converted .mpg.

I still notice the same commercial timing issues when the .mpg is played back with GBPVR as per the .ts as mentioned in the above thread. Unfortunately I don't really understand the ts/mpg format details so maybe this is expected.

Are there any suggestions on what I can do as part of the mpg conversion process such that generated .mpg will avoid the issues seen with the .ts and commercial timing.

Or any other suggestions whilst still using the TS mux?

Thanks heaps.

  MCE Triple-Tap SMS
Posted by: McBainUK - 2009-06-10, 12:36 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (2)

I'd like to see the SMS 'jump to items' feature in the standard GB-PVR lists. With a lot of music files the Music Library is very cumbersome unless you can hit 333 (3 = def key) to get to Feeder for example.

  GBPVR-related equipment sales
Posted by: fbachofner - 2009-06-10, 01:38 AM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (1)

In what forum would it be appropriate to list GBPVR-related equipment for sale?

I have:
3 MVPs (1 shrinkwrapped, 1 open but unused, 1 gently used)
various Hauppauge tuner cards (PVR150 and 500) -- still very useful for people with cable connections!

NZ Prime TV and DVB-S EPG
Posted by: hasso - 2009-06-10, 01:33 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (12)

Anyway of getting the Prime EPG from the satellite for use on analog without having to "enable" the encrypted Sky TV channel which, not being a subscriber, I can't watch? Right now I get the EPG for all channels from DVB-S, but for Prime I need to go to a separate source.

  EPG Scheduler
Posted by: MixMan - 2009-06-10, 12:29 AM - Forum: Community Announcements - Replies (16)

XMLTV XML file download made easy. Just select Profile and click on Run button.

This program enables you to schedule execution of XMLTV downloaders.
It will run a timer before scheduling execution and reside in the Tray.
The scheduling differs from other schedulers that schedule on a specific time.
EPGscheduler counts down the time to next execution of the downloader.
You can edit and save your preffered downloader settings into "profiles"
The "profiles" are stored in the sub directory "./Profiles"
The program can also run a batch file hidden, before and after running the XMLTV downloader.
The batch files are located in the sub directory "Commands"
The batch file, post-downloader.bat will as default execute the batch file UpdatePVRX2.bat, that will run 3 command lines to update the PVRX2 database.
You can run EPGscheduler, exe with the command line -config, to have to EPGscheduler on the desktop or you can click on the icon in the tray.

I have made a ZIP that contains Open Source GPL and LGPL programs.
The EPGscheduler program and Profiles for these downloaders.
epg downloader - XMLTV from SourceForge
epg downloader - WebEPG from MediaPortal
epg downloader - XMLTV GUI from Birtles
epg - external DVB EPG update

Beta testers wanted for making country specific profiles and configuration files.

Defaults back to internal viewer from Silverlight & icon view crash
Posted by: noremac74 - 2009-06-09, 11:23 PM - Forum: Netflix Watch Now - Replies (1)

Hello all,
whenever I try to select Silverlight as the player and click ok.
I go back to the plugin later and it defaults back to internal player.

And IE plays movies with Silverlight fine outside of gbpvr.

The second issue is if I use the icon view for the plugin, pvrx2 crashes to the desktop after I select a movie for more information.
I can get the information fine with any of the other views (details, list, etc.)

Finally, where do I find my Personal RSS ID?

Thanks in advance for any advice.
