MY EPG in GBPVR has stopped working for some strange reason, using latest version onf GBPVR with XMLTV GUI and UK Digiguide. I have not changed anything for a while, so not sure why it's stopped working.
When I update the EPG through GBPVR it kicks ofXMLTV and pulls through the data from Digiguide which I can verify though the XML file created but in GBPVR all I get is (no show details) except where I have a recording setup.
Trying to install comskip by following the instructions on the wiki. I downloaded the latest file (comskip80_023) from http://www.kaashoek.com/files/ . But I can't seem to find the comcodec.dll .
A little googling and it seems that they have removed it. Does GB still need it to function properly.
In the wiki it says you need to enable comskip in the configuration but doesn't say how.
Was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem.
I converted a couple of MPG videos to AVI (XVid) using "copy" (AVIDEMUX) for the audio. There is no audio when playing the AVI with GBPVR. However, there is audio when playing it through VLC.
I realize this is a codec problem; however, it is very difficult to tell what codec is being used by GBPVR. I have tried various GBPVR playback settings to no avail. Incidentally, GSpot tells me that the required codec is installed, but unfortunately it doesn't say WHAT codec it has installed. It says it is MPEG 1 Layer 2 but that's it. That is not much help as it doesn't tell you what SPECIFIC codec it is detecting.
Sometime ago I resolved a video freeze problem when fast forwarding by using "MPEG Audio decoder" instead of "Cyberlink Audio decoder". So I can't use the Cyberlink. If I set it to "MPEG Audio decoder" what codec is GBPVR using?
In fact, if anyone else has had this problem, I would like to know what codec they used.
Love to get this running on my PCH but not off to a good start.
Installed mvpmcx 2.2.2 via CSI and that reports it installed and started.
Been running GBPVR for a while so ran NMTinstall without GBPVR selected, added in the 4 June updates. Checked GBPVR still runs fine on PC - all ok
Select MVPMCX from PCH webservices menu and get " request can't be processed"
Checked out connectivity and PCH samba browser can see and browse mvpmc share back on the PC. Turned off the Windows7 firewall but that didn't make any difference. With windows7 I have needed to open a port to get other stuff running - is there a port that I need to open to get MVPmcx2 to talk to the PCH?
How do I generate a log to check out what is happening here?
I have just built my second system on GBPVR and I have encountered the recording failed when PC is in standby. Is there any patch for the latest pvrx2 1.3.11 to resolve this problem? Motherboard is asus P5N73-CM and xp home original. Thanks.
Weird thing started the other day - when I watch recorded programs, they all of a sudden speed up. I think this is happening while recording, because if I view the recorded program with Windows Media Player, I get the same results. Any ideas?
Recently rebuilt my box, and I am having an issue with the resume feature.
I did a search and found a few relevant posts dealing with settings in the config.xml and some database stuff. Config file looks good, and I did the database ones as well. I think... when I tried to do them again it said they were already there, so I took that as a good sign!
Still no resume for me.
Other odd issues are Live TV does not work, not a big deal to me, any live tv we watch, we tune on the TV and not this box. Recordings are fine and play fine.
Like sub suggested in the other threads, I started barret jackson and watched and then exited. Then tried to go back and resume but it wasn't there.
Logs are attached, any help is greatly appreciated!
Anyway to reduce the delay between the GB and the stb. I have about a 5 second delay from when GB receives the channel from the remote to when it actually changes the channel on the stb.
