  EPG problems (Yapi2xml)
Posted by: Paul D. Bellamy - 2009-05-20, 02:06 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I'm running WinXP, SP3 and PVRX2, v 1.3.11 and using Hauppauge HVR-1950.

A few days ago, my EPG download, using Yapi2xml failed after many attempts on several days. It appears to download data, but when I look at TV Guide, all channels and time blocks say "No show details". This makes it rather useless.

It has been working nicely up until now. I realize that there is no longer any support for Yapi2xml, but I wonder if any users have seen a similar problem and can advise. The only thing I have done which may have caused this is the install and uninstall of Ulead DVD Moviefactory, V 5.78. I am not sure whether this was simply a coincidence, or a cause/effect issue.

Thanks for any help. The log files are attached.

Anyone know where I can find an FM Radio plugin for version 1.3.7? I posted a similar question in the Support section of this forum but had no takers.

Thank you.

  Windows 2008 64 bit Problems
Posted by: Deviation - 2009-05-20, 03:16 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

So I've been playing with this for about 5 hours now and I think I've made as far as I can by myself.

I'm running Windows Server 2008 64bit with a Hauppauge 2250 card using Schedules Direct for my EPG. At first WinTV wouldn't load load complaining it couldn't find the card. GBPVR, on the other hand, would show the card listed when I checked the "Only show devices..." box. When exiting the config, it would complain about not having a multiplexer.

So here's what I've done:
- Enabled the Desktop Experience feature in Windows Server 2008
- Copied & registered .ax files from Vista to C:\Windows\SYSWOW64

Code:
regsvr32 C:\Windows\SYSWOW64\bdaplgin.ax regsvr32 C:\Windows\SYSWOW64\kstvtune.ax regsvr32 C:\Windows\SYSWOW64\ksxbar.ax regsvr32 C:\Windows\SYSWOW64\Mpeg2Data.ax regsvr32 C:\Windows\SYSWOW64\mpg2splt.ax regsvr32 C:\Windows\SYSWOW64\MSDvbNP.ax regsvr32 C:\Windows\SYSWOW64\MSNP.ax regsvr32 C:\Windows\SYSWOW64\psisrndr.ax regsvr32 C:\Windows\SYSWOW64\VBICodec.ax regsvr32 C:\Windows\SYSWOW64\vbisurf.ax regsvr32 C:\Windows\SYSWOW64\WSTPager.ax

Two would not register: kstvtune.ax & ksxbar.ax. The others registered OK.

This enabled the WinTV to start up, but it doesn't seem to want to scan channels. It also seemed to stop the multiplexer message. GBPVR doesn't do much except blink at me when I hit Live TV. TV Guide turns the screen black until I move the mouse. I've tried analog and digital without any luck.

I've attached some logs. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Lost on-screen record button in live TV
Posted by: whitepelican - 2009-05-19, 07:16 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Apologies, as I'm fairly new to all this, but I've had GBPVR running on a desktop PC for a little while now, and everything was going smoothly until I decided to tinker a bit too much. I had installed a few plugins (most notably "TV Listings"), and after giving up on those ideas, I can't seem to get my configuration back how I would like.

I seem to recall that I previously could click with the mouse on a red "record" button that appeared on the screen during Live TV. Now that button seems to have disappeared. I still have all of the ch+/ch-/ffwd/rew/skip/exit type of buttons, but no record button. I am not using the Live Preview mode for live TV.

Also, hitting CTRL-K and then selecting "Record" acts very peculiar. Maybe I misunderstand what this is supposed to do, but it is really just buffering Live TV, even after I close PVRX2. The file is created in the Live TV Buffer Directory, and none of the post-processing stuff happens to it, although the Recording Status indicator claims that it is indeed recording the program.

I'm not totally without recording, because I can still record programs by going to TV Guide and selecting the program and then selecting either "Quick Rec" or "Record". But that seems to be the only way I can record anything. Any help?

  XMBC Forum sucks..a lot
Posted by: gazoo - 2009-05-19, 06:37 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (9)

I don't really think I can put it any nicer. I have recently started checking them out because I will probably end up using XBMC as a client for GBPVR. The server will record, and upstairs I'll use XBMC. I mainly interested in all the CBS, NBC, YouTube type plugins and the eye candy (the wife got a look at the eye candy and doesn't want to go back).

Anyhow, I figured it being such a huge member board I would get some decent interaction going.. WRONG

They pretty much ignored any question I had - at least I didn't get berrated and yelled at. In reading through all the old and current posts, they are a bit Nazi and really go to town on the "N00bz." Not cool really. Plus Windows seems to be the red headed stepchild.

Anyhow, just wondering if anyone has noticed this that has dabbled over there.

"There's no place like forums.gbpvr.com!" I mean that, you guys are probably the best forum of any kind.

  DVD and multiple audio track
Posted by: soydios - 2009-05-19, 12:25 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I have a problem:

The default audio track in a DVD with multiple audio tracks is always in English.
I can change the audio by default.
