I want to install ML2 or ML3 for use with the PCH and I wonder if there a consensus on which is the prefered version right now. Sorry I have been following for a while but I want to offer it as an alternative.
If it matters anymore, I plan on using it with MLPanel.
recently I noticed while watching AVIs through GB-PVR that the volume icon appears (At the top of the screen) and won't go away. I have a Hauppage remote, and the volume buttons don't seem to make the volume icon go up or down...not sure how this got on the screen in the first place - and also can't seem to make it go away!
This doesn't seem to be a problem when watching recorded TV shows - just AVI files.
I see an updated Win7 driver for the HVR-1600 in the Windows 7 optional updates. Details of update state published March 2009 and releases 21 April 2009. Currently using Win 7 drivers dated 28 Jan 2009.
Any pros and cons to updating? I'm in the "if it ain't broke...." camp with these drivers due to the rescanning required. I do however have an issue with HD recordings freezing and the timescale substituting seconds for minutes. I'm more inclinded to look to codecs to resolve that but thought I'd ask the community.
I had timeline problem w/ GBPVR recordings from my HDPVR that Martin suggested may be driver related. I thought about stepping up to the latest HDPVR driver, but it appears that it records in M2TS format.
How is image scaling supposed to work? When I look at horizontal photo images full screen, they always seem to be fill the screen even though typically my images are not 16:9 ratio. Is there a setting that controls this?
Also what does this setting do? Can it be used to stop the problem where somewhat randomly images play at a terrible resolution?
Can anyone suggest a good codec, combination of codecs, and/or gbpvr settings for playing back transport stream recordings. I am using a firewire connection from my Motorola STB with GraphRecorder and GBPVR but I don't seem to have a codec which plays the TS recordings very good.
I upgraded my Microsoft Vista computer recently, and I'm using the latest GBPVR and Hauppaugh's 950Q. The system records nicely, but when I play it back, the sound drops off about 30 seconds into the recording. The same symptoms happen during Live TV. Forwarding and rewinding does not bring back the sound. If I play back the recording outside of GBPVR on Microsoft's Media Center, the sound is fine. I've tried the various combinations for audio decoder & renderer, but it did not make a difference. Any suggestions? Thanks!
been trying to get the transcode feature to work. I pick my options, then say run it. I added a pause to the script,so I could see what was happening.
I'm not sure where it is falling apart, or why.
Thanks for your time

Hello
Iâm fairly new to GBPVR but not to the whole HTPC stuff. I installed the software and managed to configure it. Everything seemed to work fine. I added my FireDTV as new capture source. Since my country is not listed in the source configuration, I selected the whole 6900 spectrum (which is correct).
It started fine, but kept on crashing the whole program on a specific frequency. I found the DVBC.ini files and made my own one for my country with the 21 entries it needs (also includes QAM256). The program still crashed on the same frequency, which unfortunately is used
When I take the entry out of the file, everything just works fine. I made a new file with only this specific entry and cleared my logs. Here are the logs which are made during the crash. Any hint?
I already spend a lot of time on the wiki (which is great!!!) and in the forum, but couldnât find the solution to my problem.
Thanks!
