Hi, I like to add a new frequency satellite system (ie, 13o East) to GBPVR for the S350 DVB-S card, but I don't know how to. Could you direct me pls? thx you
Everyone has their preference for their PC screen resolution, but on what resolution was GBPVR designed to be displayed (for fonts, etc.)?
Now that I have GBPVR running, and I stumbled on a 15-pin M-M cable in my cable stash, I am considering going from composite video out to monitor out from my HTPC to my 46" LCD TV. What resolution is recommended?
I had everything working fine but had to re-install Windows XP.
I could not remember which decoder I had installed but the video did not look great so I installed Nvidia Purevideo (it still does not look as good as before).
Anyway, I have an audio problem (either using "system default" or the nvidia for audio decoder). The audio works fine in live, it even works fine if I start a recording and then start to play back while it is still recording (from pending que), but after it is stopped (cancel from pending), the audio is very low volume and has a weird, high frequency "stringing" type of sound. (Hard to describe).
Live sounds fine. Pause live and watch playback works fine. Only after a recording and trying to play that messes up.
Also, if I play the recorded .mpg in WMP11, it has the same audio issue.
I am running PVR-150 and latest GBPVR. Sound via SB Live Value card.
I have all recordings postprocessed by ccextractor to generate .srt
files. When GBPVR is playing back the QAM 1080i ts recording, the
subtitles in .srt are displayed about 1 min too late. Note that this is
not exactly a problem of the .srt file, as the same recording and .srt
played perfectly in MPC.
I looked into .srt file and checked the timings. They all appeared to be
right. I removed a few <font> tag in the beginning of the file and the
delay in GBPVR seems to be reduced. This led me to wonder if the
unrecognized tags such as <font><i></i> might be the problem.
And I only have the problem with .ts, not the mpeg from the old
PVR150.
I searched the wiki and this forum but could not found an answer.
If I change the playback settings on my client will that change anything back on my server? I wasn't sure if what I was looking at in my client config was local or not.
I'm trying to get a client / server setup running smoothly. But I've hit 2 major show stopping problems.
1) Client cannot schedule a program to be recorded. Record or quick record simply does nothing. Using the web interface, programs can be recorded no problems.
2) Stuttery playback. I made a recording of a program that was smooth but then started stuttering for no reason... opening the file in media player classic showed the video to break up a little like the TV signal wasn't strong enough, but it was perfectly watchable. Playing the file in PVRX2 (using the same codecs) just stuttered constantly and was completely unwatchable. Most channels play smoothly, but BBC stutters most of the time. It must be more susceptible to interference.
I'm having problems logging in to the EWA with IE8.
I get the login-screen, but I can't get past it. After pressing the login-button, I get the 'Waiting for http://....', but I never get to the guide.
This is working fine on the same PC with Chrome and on another PC with IE7.
This problem only appears when going over the internet. On my local network, the guide opens fine, but I don't need to login in then.
Any ideas?

When I open the EWA locally, and go to the config-tab, it asks me to log in. Logging in locally appears to be working just fine...
gbpvr works fine however I can't work out how to change the apect ratio for live tv on screen. The picture is vertically elongated. the aspect ratio appears fixed as changing the window shape doesn't help. I have all settings as default and have tried altering the configuration setting on the general tab for TV between 16X9 and 4X3 but this makes no difference. It records fine in.ts at widescreen which is the correct size for the freeview signal.
