i found a bunch of channels during the QAM scan and I don't know how to map them. FOr example, I found WABC+ and WABCHD and anoter WABC channel. I know WABCHD is the one that maps to my cablevision 707. but i don't know to which channel I map the others, and map that to a channel on the EPG...
perhpas i need to look at this a little deeper with my cable compnay line up but if anyone has done this, and know of any easy way to map channels from EPG -> channel number -> QAM frequency - plese let me know.
I have copy and pasted the entries for this tuner card in dba.ini. I am able to select this tuner entry but when scanning for channels to map digital channels it ultimately crashes and freezes.
the card's QAm tuner works fine on BeyondTV

I'm using the most current build of GBPVR Version: 1.3.11.. I Am using a hauppauge 350 tv tuner .. My system has 1.5 g of ram using XP home with a dual intel processor...
I have no sound when using the hauppauge 350 an GBPVR or sound dies after 5 mins or so, or dies when I change channels.. I have removed the card an reset all the drivers..Changed card location, Reinstalled an older build of gbpvr anstill no sound... Also sound is heard when using other softwareIE winamp, itunes ect.. But not in GBPVR Does anyone have any ideas for me to try?...
BTW.. sound was working with GBPVR
I use Overlay Manager (because the Pentium M 1.4 based machine is rather underpowered for VMR9).
Yesterday I noticed that some channels - including ITV4 - are displayed with the whole picture squashed into the left-hand two-thirds of the screen with the left part of the picture displayed again on the right. Most channels are OK (maybe just one mux?).
I had been running GBPVR 1.2.13 because of a problem I previously had after upgrading to 1.3.11. Tried upgrading to 1.3.11 - previous issue of crashing after a minute or two now OK after changing to TS-Mux and applying patches in Survival Guide. 'Screen-wrap' problem with Overlay Manger is still there though - most irritating! This problem goes away with VMR9 but then I get the picture freezing for a few frames every so often.
Any bright ideas gratefully received.
What do people think of this? , what are they doing to use .I would have through New Zealanders were smarter than this. First they say Freeview is here $400 and then Freeview HD $600 and then My Freeview $1000 and now they have gone and got TiVo come in (so where around 1000$ plus ADSL) and all this in the last year.
$8 million aus for what a My Freeview box that can download more old ads form the net so now we pay more for our free TV and all it has is the TiVo label on the front but no cool things like ad skipping or networking (for free at least is auss is anything to go buy) O and they may be able to someday bring in downloads for movies so that all those people work in vids shops jobs will be gone. That will help save New Zealand money, and make more Jobs. :0
As you can see Iâm not hot on thisor should I say the way they have done it, they must have been planed this from day one, I do LoVe TiVo type boxes but are TVNZ doing ?, and will tv 3 and 4 come onboard with there epg, and why did they not talk about the epg before moving on this.... Man they need to learn to think be for signing on the dotted line.
At least they are going in the right direction (I think), as it shouldn't be to long be for we get better internet and Freeview HD over more of New Zealand and can rental movies online, it my only be with the TiVo box but we will get it. lol :confused:
My USB-UIRT works for changing the channel in live TV but not when recording. I do have "Allow service to interact with desktop" checked, but I still see an "Unable to open USB-UIRT" error in GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log.
I've put two "Cinergy C" DVB-C PCI tuners in the PC, and configured them in GBPVR as device 1 and 2. The tuner I configure with device numer 1 works perfectly. The second returns "no channels found" when doing a scan.
Both tuners work fine with the native TV software. I've tried switching the PCI cards pyhsically, I've tried removing and re-adding the cards in the config file, but I always end up the same way with device #2 not working (no matter which of the cards I choose as device #1). If I give both devices #1 both work, just not simultaneous of course.
I tried using device numbers above 2 but this results in an error message from GBPVR saying it couldn't find the device and at the same time I get a .NET 2.0 Just-In-Time crash dialogue.
I've searched the forum, Wiki and web but it seems I'm the only one experiencing this problem
I've read through the GBPVR logs but I'm still too novice to use them properly. One of the logs said it couldn't find the filter for the "Cinergy C HD PCI digital tuner" (IIRC) when doing a channel scan, but I'm unsure what to do to fix this?
I've installed the latest codec lite full pack, 4.75, and it has the MPEG cyberlink decoder version 8.4.0.205. The config program doesn't list it as a choice anymore. The codec lite full pack, 4.70, had version 8.2.0.1211 which I was able to list and use.
When searching for potential filters does config and pvrx2 check all list media types or just the first media type?
I've attached a screen shot showing that the first media type for 8.4.0.205 is MPEG1_Packet instead of MPEG2_VIDEO. However the other media types, it offers 13, do support MPEG2.
