If I add a larger capacity HD to my HTPC, and point GBPVR to this new drive as my Recordings folder, will GBPVR look for my old recordings on the new drive, not find them and remove them from the DB? Or is the full path stored in the DB so I'll continue to have full access to the recordings through GBPVR?
Great plugin, searched and can't find if it is possible to save a recording session (as in save project). Be pretty handy for me and I imagine others as sometimes I don't finish cutting and polishing or after burning (perhaps few days, weeks), I want to change something about the recording. Also a dvd may become damaged and I'de rather not go through the work twice. Perhaps save the structure and edl's to a text file with the possibility to reload (open) it later. Please let me know if I am more braindead than normal and just overlooked something. Also keep up the great work, been playin for a while and haven't had a need to post, appologize for no intro or hello in the past, keep up the great work and the past answers got me through, bit painful chasing a working config. Let me know if I can help somehow, I barely know english and can't even copy code but if there is something I can do let me know.
I get 9-10 QAM channels with my HVR-1600 and a couple of channels in particular show some ugly artifacts. All of the affected channels are on frequency signals 89 or 90. Here is a picture of what it looks like:

Does anyone know what this is called or what might be causing it?
Thanks,

Hello--
I'm about to set up my first HTPC. I am planning to use XP Pro, BG-PVR, and a Hauppague 2200 card (which I have not received or installed yet.) I'm sure the 2200 comes with software above and beyond the necessary drivers. My question is -- does anyone have any advice as to what NOT to install from the Hauppauge install software? Past experience has taught me that sometimes the packaged sotware can interfere with apps such as GB-PVR. Also, any recommendations about anything else that needs to be downloaded/installed that's not mentioned in the wiki that they've found helpful or necessary?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
I got Freesat up and running at the weekend and watched the rugby in HD, I have a few interlacing bugs to iron out but appart from that it looks good.
The only real problem I have is that so far any attempt to record it results in no file being created, not even a 0kb one, it does create the folder though.
I get this in the recording service log:
Code:
2009-03-16 21:50:30.265 ERROR [5] Error starting recording: System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: Length cannot be less than zero.
I'm using the TS mux, CoreAVC, system default AAC and the other audio one (I know I'n naughty I should explicitley specify one!!)
As far as I know other people have this working with almost the same settings....help
I want to run 2 instances of IR Server. I have 2 STBs that I want to control and the only way it seems that I can accomplish this, is if I have 2 different instances of IR Server running.
Anyone know how to do this or know how to modify the .IR file so I can include IR Commands to both ports (IR Blasters)?
Hey JavaWiz, would you mind adding some command line compatability to your WizMetaDataGrabber?
Something that I can start the grabber from a scheduled task, and the window wont pop up and minimize my PVRX2? It should only update files that have not had meta data retrieved (the ones without checks?)... Here are some of the switches I was thinking of:
I have GBPVR running on PC1 and I also have PC2 on my network.
PC2 has two drives on it (Drive K and drive L) that I have always been able to access from GBPVR.
Since installing v1.3.11 (although this may be unrelated) I can still access Drive K but am unable to access Drive L from the Video Library menu. When I click on it, it just returns to the main menu.
I can access both Drive K and Drive L via Windows from PC 1 (the server PC).
GBPVR is logged on as a User account.
Drive L on PC 2 is shared with full access privileges.
I can add a subfolder of Drive L in config and GBPVR is able to access it.
I have tried removing the share and reapplying it, changing the User account and deleteing the 'Directory' in config and adding it again.
Although this is not causing horrendous problems it is an annoying quirk and any suggestions would be apprecaited.
everything works fine, but i have only one problem - when i'm watching tv and changing the channels - everyhting works fine, but when i'm setting up a recording, when the recording starts i can see the irblaster blinks 3 times, but it's not affecting the sattelite reciever.
what can be the problem? it's not something in the irblaster configuration, because when i'm changing the channels while watching tv it works.
and one more question - hauupauge tweaker won't work in win7. is there any other way to change brightness, contrast, etc...?
