no tv guide data
Posted by: gunterhausfrau - 2009-03-01, 05:08 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

ok, I messed it up. I am/was trying to get mc2xml to pull data from titan (it wasn't even though I had the -t option) well, got that to work, renamed the dat file and all seemed to be ok, but now I can't get any data to show up in the tv guide. If I go to live tv, it seem so to be ok, and the channels are mapped, but still nothing in the tv guide.

how to I get it to get the data? If I look at the xml file, it looks like there is data, but maybe not the channels that tv guide is looking for?

argh.

Thanks.

UltraXMLTV Enhancer Version 2 - Beta
Posted by: zehd - 2009-03-01, 04:28 AM - Forum: ZTools and UltraXMLTV - Replies (515)

Well, here it is, the 'little' project I used to get myself acquainted with VB.net

UltraXMLTV Enhancer Version 2 - Beta

http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utility/UltraXMLTV2

Anyone interested in trying it out, please read at least some of my new wiki page.

Some points:

 • Version 2 isn't finished and some of the features available in version 1 have not been activated/developed yet. But they're coming...

 • Please try it out with 'Zehd's Picks', as explained on the wiki.

 • I'm mostly interested in a user's first look. How did it go, what error right from the start...? Then I want to see how well Zehd's Picks work for you, and how well a Manual Enhancement works..

 • Then I'd like to know how it goes with your nightly EPG update.

 • If this all goes well for you, we can talk about the Seas/Ep Lookup tab - which is really quite intense for a beginner user (I don't want to scare people off)

What do you use to encode your recordings with and what is your command line in config.xml to encode with?

  XMLTV/SD problem
Posted by: scb147 - 2009-02-28, 10:03 PM - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

If anyone can point me in the right direction, I'd sure appreciate it.

I just noticed today that I am not downloading any listings for the History Channel International. I use SD and XMLTV to get my listings (for DirecTV).

My XMLTV configuration has "271 HISI" as a channel. But when I actually download my listings, it's no where to be found. This is with the latest XMLTV. The XML file it generates doesn't even have the channel info in it.

Does this sound like a SD problem, or a XMLTV problem? I'm at a loss...

Thanks.

Broadcast EPG depends on audio channel
Posted by: julio_map - 2009-02-28, 09:54 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I write to ask for some help

I have a Hauppage HVR900H USB card. (DVB-T capable)
Most of the channels in Spain transmit two audio chanels, which are detected by GB-PVR as different video channels detected

So I have for example

TVE (one channel)
TVE #Audio 2 (as if it where another channel).

My poblem is that EPG is only received on the second one, and usually it corresponds with the "foreing language broadcast".

I've tried XMLTV but I can't find a source which provides information for some local channels... the EPG broadcasted with digital channels is better (for me).

How can I do to use EPG broadcasted for TVE #audio 2 as if it was the EPG for TVE?

Thanks.Smile

I've got more issues, but this is the one that would make GB-PVR the PERFECT tool for me. (for example, how can I apply ".ax" patches?)

LiveTV will only display a black screen but plays sound
Posted by: stw238 - 2009-02-28, 09:52 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I have never worked with any PVR software before.
This is a first time installation of GB-PVR 1.3.11 on a new PC.

When I enter LiveTV, I see the channel name and hear the channel. But the image is black. I can change channel. Each channel remains black but you do have sound.

I tested with Hauppauge WinTV. All works fine. You see the channel program and hear the sound.

What is installed:
Windows XP Professional Sp 3
Hauppauge HVR 2250 TV card
Dot Net Runtime 2.0
Microsoft Visual C Runtime
DirectX 9.0c
Windows Media Player 9
Please see the attatchment for the HVR 2250 setup images and GB-PVR logs.

Any help will be appreciatted.

HDHomerun - GBPVR can not find my OTA channels
Posted by: djhorv - 2009-02-28, 09:08 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (16)

I am trying to get an HDHomerun working in GBPVR.

The HDHomerun setup finds about 21 OTA channels when I do a scan, but when I try to map them in config.exe it can not find any.

I have attached my Config.exe log file.

Any help would be appreciated.

MovieWiz not showing in gbpvr's Main Menu
Posted by: iwan - 2009-02-28, 08:53 PM - Forum: SearchWiz & MovieWiz - Replies (2)

Hi everybody,

after a clean install of GBPVR 1.3.11 and MV 1.0.23.1 MovieWizard doesn't show up in gbpvr's main menu any more.
Other plugins seem to work well (External Display, TV Listings).

There are some errors in the logs (line 190 ff).
Any ideas ?

  change in guide.aspx format
Posted by: medic29 - 2009-02-28, 06:20 PM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - Replies (1)

I was trying to record a few shows in EWA, went into the manage.aspx page and the view was fairly different... This is using Firefox 3 latest. When I pull it up in IE 7 the show column isn't as bunched together.

Any ideas on this?

selecting more than 4 programs to record...
Posted by: medic29 - 2009-02-28, 06:09 PM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - Replies (1)

Been experiencing an issue with the EWA, if I select more than 4-5 programs to record and click the record button the browser sits there and waits. sometimes up to 7-8 or more minutes. If I try and navigate back to the guide tab or any other tab it gives me many errors as if the back end PVR server was frozen or is not responding.
If I let it sit for another couple of minutes everything goes back to normal.
