If I search for say "films" in EWA, I get a very long list of all the films in my EPG (expected).
If I select one and click the + to see the detailed description, in many cases the text continues right off the screen. Unfortunately, the browser horizontal scroll bar is half a mile off the bottom of the page (well I said it's a long list )
This is a pain when trying tp read the description. Is there anyway to limit the page size (horizontally) or cause the text to wrap so it doesn't shoot right off the page?
It is necessary to install and configure a TV tuner card (hardware device) as the capture source? Without setting up one or more computers in a client/server configuration, why can't you configure the capture source by pointing to a URL and capture the video stream? If this is possible can someone describe how to configure this?
On this same topic, channels could be defined as different URL video streams. Granted the video quality may not be as high but at least you can capture video streams without the need for cable TV or a tuner card.
How do I change the number of 30 minute blocks viewable onscreen in TV Guide? I looked in the Config file and there is a field for it but it is set to 120 (and I changed it to 240) but TV Guide still shows 90 minutes at a time. Since I view on a PC, I'd like to make the text smaller and show more at a time. Can this be done?
Thought I'd mention that some of the channel logos distributed with the plugin maybe out of date. I've just done a clean install and a fresh scan (Rowridge transmitter, Hauppage Nova-T 9009).
Channels currently with no logos:
BBC R5L
BBC R5SX
BBC 1Xtra
BBC Radio 7
Also, an installer would be a great improvement for the next version (if there is one). Manually starting services is a little messy.
Thanks for the great plugin though, it really fills a gap in the UK GB-PVR market - if you were selling it...
I am using Schedules Direct for my EPG. I noticed the other day that there is no information for any shows on WGN. When investigating this, I realized that the TV Guide on gbpvr shows 2 WGN channels (WGNAMER and WGNSAT). The one is the one I expect and the other one is a channel that my cable service does not even provide. I checked and gbpvr has show info. for the one that I don't get and they match what I have found for the other one. I also logged in to Schedules Direct and they show the exact lineup that I expect. Is there a way to get the TV Guide in gbpvr to match what Schedules Direct is showing? I suspect that when I originally set things up, Schedules Direct may have had an incorrect lineup, but has now been correct.
I just viewed some of the material in WMP11, because I wanted to see once more that the recordings were not the problem. I am now getting sound out of WMP11, which surprises me, because I thought it was up to GB-PVR to create the graphs.
But the important point is: playback of the files through WMP11 is flawless. The stuttering occurs only when played through 1.3.11. I will revert to the previous version, but I will wait to hear from you as to whether you desire any debug material.
