I'm having a few problems getting a crash free scan of the Astra 1s (19E) and the Hotbirds (13E). Would someone be prepared to post recent scans of these Sats??
This is a wierd issue that hopefully you guys can help with.
Use Case:
1) Start up GBPVR
2) Navigate to videos and play XVID or DIVX encoded AVI's ok and no problems
3) Stop playback
4) Navigate to a MPG2 Recording
5) Recording plays perfectly, stop recording
6) Navigate back to video's and playback previous video that worked, this time the display black or colours seem to be inverted/corrupted:confused:? or i get a black screen and just audio
A restart of GBPVR will take you back to 1) above.
I am using the 1.3.11 version of PVRX2 and have a ATI Radeon x1250 with the latest catalyst drivers. Using VMR9 Exclusive and latest version of FFDShow for AVI Decode.
I'm new to GB-PVR, and I'm having problems getting live tv to work. When I open PVRX2, I can click on settings, and several other things, but if I try to click on TV Guide or Live TV, it doesn't work. The screen flashes, and then nothing happens.
I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the channel list, but I have tried a million different things to try and fix it.
I am using gbpvr version 1.3.11, and I'm using mc2xml for EPG.
My tuner is the Pinnacle PCTV HD Pro Stick.
I get the following error when I run the MuxChecker.
NO MULTIPLEXER FILTERS WHERE FOUND ON YOUR MACHINE.
GB-PVR will not function correctly unless you have WinXP SP1 or higher, which has a built-in DVR-M
I'm running on Windows Vista with all current updates. Also using HDHomeRun and antenna.
When I run the config and setup using my HDHomeRun (via these instructions http://www.silicondust.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5449 ) I can see thumbnail live TV when mapping the channels (although sometimes it hangs). But when I run PVRX2.exe it doesn't display any Live TV nor program guide (although I have it configured to use schedule direct).
Also, I can scan channels from HDHomeRun software and from there when I click the View button VLC pops up and I can watch live TV from there. So I know part of it is working. Just can't figure out why GB-PVR isn't.
As you can see I'm at a loss and quite a newbie at this.
Ongoing trouble with this.
It renames some files, not others.
Log shows:
Code:
Parameters:
[0]: F:\pathname\show name_20090218_20002100.mpg
[1]: {show}{[-]}{episode}
ERROR: Source file (parameter 0) does not exist.
Obviously with the proper path and show names.
My postprocessing.bat is thus:
Code:
cscript //nologo "C:\Program Files\VideoReDoPlus\vp.vbs" "%~dpn1.VPrj" "%~dpn1_Cleaned.mpg" /t1 /q
Rem RENAME the old .mpg file and rename the new one to the old name
move "%~dpn1.mpg" "%~dpn1_original.mpg"
move "%~dpn1_Cleaned.mpg" "%~dpn1.mpg"
DEL "%~dpn1.vprj"
DEL "%~dpn1.log"
DEL "%~dpn1.txt"
WizRenameRecording.exe "%~f1" "{show}{[-]}{episode}"
Comskip is run on the file thru gbpvr, creating the .vprj etc.
I just want it to rename things properly and consistently, or find something that does.
Not sure anymore if this is a new issue in 1.3.11 (i think it also happened in 1.3.7). This is the problem: the PC wakes up before the recording. the wakeup script will restart my USB tuners (because they have a tendency to not wake up properly). then if i test the signal on channel X with an app like WatchHDTV it's perfect. Same if i test it just after the recording is done. But when i look at the recorded video file it's full of skips - as much as to make it useless. This is not a constant issue. it could be days until it happens again or it could be every recording for a few days. My PC is in stand by for about a month before i do a reboot.
i use setting <BDAUsePsiParser>false</BDAUsePsiParser> in config.xml to avoid zero length files.
My TV is connected to the same antenna and sometimes i watch a program live at the same time it's being recorded (and it's fine on the TV but skipping on the recording)
I'm sure you are sick of the M402U questions - it is 2009 after all, but like a lot of people, I'm trying to piece together a system for GBPVR and the M402U is what I have on hand. Did you drop support for it in 1.3.11? I don't see it in the list of capture cards in the config. Thanks for a great product.
The audio has been missing from a few programs recorded (most are fine).
Varying the codec configuration doesnt seem to affect it.
Logs are attached.
I can post a snippet of the video file if it helps.
