  schedule.exe parameters
Posted by: penninenick - 2009-02-19, 12:03 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hello.

I've started using the command line utility "schedule.exe", calling it from Digiguide. I've had a look at the examples shown when you manually run schedule and the parameters shown are:

-channel <number>
-start "yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm"
-stop "yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm"
-minutes <number>
-seconds <number>
-name "prog name"
-pre <number>
-post <number>

Are there any other parameters that can be passed to schedule.exe, such as recording quality etc.

0 byte recordings - 1 of my capture cards.
Posted by: jorm - 2009-02-19, 11:53 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I am using an older version of GBPVR (I can upgraded if needed). My setup is one hauppauge 250 and one hauppauge 150. This has worked fine on this version for about a year.

Recently everytime my hauppauge 150 records it creates a 0 byte file. The hauppauge 250 records fine. I have restarted, re installed the filters.

Attached are the logs for gbpvr and filter check.

The latest failed recording was Local 6 First News.

I have deleted the capture device and reinstalled it in config.

I tried the tuning assistant picked my 150 and saw channels.

  Leadtek DTV1000T
Posted by: Guy Incognito - 2009-02-19, 11:40 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

G'day guys,

I've been trying out different muxes on my Leadtek DTV1000t and I think I've gone backwards. Previously SD recorded fine but HD was choppy and no good. I was running an old Cyberlink mux. Since then I updated the driver and played around with a heap of muxes, all to no avail. Now I've found I can't even get back to how it used to be. All recordings are choppy. Playback is fine, however. I'm running Windows XP.

So, DTV1000t users, what driver are you using and what mux do you use?

Cheers,

Guy

DVD menu item selector not displayed
Posted by: Wakalaka - 2009-02-19, 09:05 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (22)

I'm using Vista and Vista Codecs, and have DVD Playback Video Decoder set to System Default (the only choice). When I play a DVD, there isn't a menu item selector displayed, so I can't cursor around the menu and know what is selected. Any idea how to fix this?

  Missed recording
Posted by: bizztizz - 2009-02-19, 05:48 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I missed a recording this evening, and I believe this is the first time this has ever happened, GBPVR runs rock solid for me. It doesn't appear that the system ever even attempted recording from what I can deduce from the logs (Attached) - maybe never even came awake. It was supposed to record "Lost" at 8 pm 2/18. Can anyone else tell what may have happened? I attempted another recording tonight on the same card and same channel, it worked just fine.

map digital channels...extra channels in drop-down
Posted by: dshoup - 2009-02-19, 03:01 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

About half of our channels (Oklahoma City, USA) went ahead with the transition to digital TV yesterday. Because of this, I had to rescan my channels and remap them to the EPG (some channels changed frequencies to use the old analog frequencies that are no longer being used for analog). I have been using 3 digital tuners (Hauppauge 1600 and 1250, and a Kworld PCI 120 ATSC tuner).

When I rescan any of the tuners, it correctly finds all current stations, but when I begin mapping to the EPG channels, I have 3 or 4 copies of each channel name. It appears some versions of these channels are old as they will not correctly tune. It is difficult to sort through this long list and try to figure out which channels are the current channels and which are the old channels that no longer work.

The list under "channels found during scan" is correct. Is there a way to purge all old information (short of deleting and reinstalling my tuners...I'd rather not risk losing my programed shows) so that only these newly found channels from the current scan are listed in the drop-down boxes in the "Tuning Request" column?

  Scheduling from Twitter
Posted by: djhorv - 2009-02-19, 02:19 AM - Forum: Developers - Replies (5)

I am thinking of trying to use twitter to allow the scheduling of recordings from my cell phone. I figure I set my status to something like
"gpbvr: -channel 12 -start now -seconds 240 -name "Property Ladder" -pre 1 -post 3"

and then I would have my gbpvr check my status every 5 minutes for updates addressed to it. It would simply pass the "command" to the scheduler in the gbpvr directory.

So anyone have any experience doing something like this? I have scripted the REST API before and I understand the Twitter uses that so I think it is possible. Does anyone have a better way?

Thanks.

Net Radio/Screen Saver causes PVRX2 to lock up
Posted by: pduncan67 - 2009-02-19, 01:36 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (5)

Things were working well - then I tried to use the 'screen saver' plugin. I never got it working, so I unchecked it (on plugins tab in config).

Now when I use Net Radio, after a few minutes PVRX2 will "lock up" - the radio continues to play, but there is no keyboard or remote response. In task manager it says "not responding". I have to kill the process to continue.

Also - the 'system' screensaver is not working now either. I do have a check mark beside 'Enable screen saver' on 'Misc' tab.

I think when the 'system' screen saver tries to run - this is when the system 'locks up' - but I am just guessing.

I would be happy to include the logs if someone will tell me which log(s) to send and what logging level to use.

I am using GB-PVR v1.3.11, community skin w/ Skin Plugin 3.2.2

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions

  1.3.11 EPG not updating correctly
Posted by: Neogenesis - 2009-02-19, 01:34 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Hey all,

I'll come clean and say yes I'm a newb here....but I'm loving what has been done so far. I did a search on the forums...but didn't find anything that helped me solve my problem.

Running 1.3.11
Standard Install
Hauppauge PVR-150
Using Schedules Direct for EPG

My install of the GB-PVR was successful, as well as my config. I was able to import my channel listing for Time Warner from SD without issue, everything seemed ok. I started the PVR and told epg to update to get my listings, and expected to get a full days worth or more. That however wasn't the case. I got about a half of a day and then it was just blank. I let the system run overnight, which the update time is set to 2AM. It again updated, but again only got programming till 7PM tonight. I tried to synch it through PVR software again, and it didn't pull any information this time.

Reboot just for giggles....no help

In config, removed all my channels and re-imported my channel listing again. Go into PVR and synch, no program data, just blank

Any help you could provide would be helpful. I'm still on my trial with SD and would like to make sure I can get this working before I pay for my subscription.

If I missed providing any vital information...let me know and I'll get it ASAP!!

Thanks,

Scott

  recording stopped at epg update?
Posted by: SteveTyrakowski - 2009-02-19, 12:15 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Hi,

I had a movie scheduled to record from 1am to 3:30 am on an HVR1600. I am using 1.3.11. The dvr-ms file only contains 1:04:09 of video, not the 2:33 that it should have with padding.

It looks like the video stopped getting collected at 2:03am which is when an EPG update occurred. I can't see anything in the log, except that at 3:32am it says that the recording was completed and that matches the timestamp on the file.

attached is the log and some info about the video file.

Any ideas on what happened and how to prevent it? My wife almost killed me after we were watching it and realized that we didn't get the whole movie.

Thanks
Steve Tyrakowski
