  Recording Service not cancelling recording
Posted by: scb147 - 2009-02-12, 03:12 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I have 2 PVR-150s, and I had 2 recordings scheduled for 10:00PM EST on 02/11/2009. I was watching a hockey game on TV and at 9:58PM, it kicked me out to the main menu. So I went into the Pending recordings menu and canceled one of the shows.

I then go to Live TV and it says that my tuners are being used, so I can cancel out or watch the show that I didn't cancel. The recording service was still recording the show which I told it to cancel, I can see this by the tray icon.

To sum up, recording service continues recording after I canceled it on the pending recordings menu.

I've attached my logs as well.

Thanks.

  SD clear QAM channels not playing (A100)
Posted by: wpialum - 2009-02-12, 02:52 AM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (4)

I just purchased an HVR-1250 as a second digital tuner for clear QAM to complement my HVR-1600 ATSC and analog tuners.

When I did the channel scan, I noticed that in addition to the HD network channels, I also get a lot of the SD network channels over clear QAM. I can play these just fine through PVRX2 on my PC.

On the PCH A100, the QAM HD channels play quite well, but the SD QAM channels do not play at all. I get the "buffering" screen, and the network light flashes like it's ready for takeoff, but then it stops blinking, I get a black screen, and nothing happens. When I press "stop", I get back to the TV GUIDE and am able to try other channels.

On the server, the temp files are being created and are growing, so content is being stored, there just seems to be a problem getting this content to the PCH.

Anyone seen this? Any suggestions?
Thanks
Marc

  What am i doing wrong?
Posted by: kcljr2008 - 2009-02-12, 01:45 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (16)

So I have GBPVR installed and i have set up my EPG with schedules direct, but i cannot access the live tv function and I cannot watch tv. I have a Hauppauge HVR850 it plugs into the usb on my laptop and I have a motorolla stb connected to that. I have video in via VGA to my tv. I am not sure what I need to do in order to change the channel on my stb but i know it has a remote, but i am still unable to pick up any signal in gbpvr. If i use the software that came with the hvr i can pickup one signal on channel 3 and i can use my comcast remote to change the channel. Please help!

  Will not play...
Posted by: macgyver - 2009-02-11, 11:09 PM - Forum: Recording2, MusicLibrary2, SystemStatus Support - Replies (8)

With your recent help I had ML2 (and ML3) up and running working a treat. No for some reason it will not play anything.
I have been looking at this for a few days now but cannot for the life of me see what has changed and caused the problem. Posting on here is a last resort as I don't really have anything for you to go on! There are no errors in any log files, it just doesn't work.
The symptoms are that both plugins are installed OK, appear on the menu in GBPVR and display all the track information. If you select a track and try and play nothing happens - you can continue to navigate around the tracks. If you use the red button to generate a playlist the total time (top right) changes to reflect the generated playlist length but again no music. If you press the green key it crashes and reboots to the PCH menu, again no errrors in any log files. This may be the key to the problem?
I'm sorry that this is such a vague description but I am stumped. Something has obviously changed but I cannot spot it, or recall making any changes. I have tried it on an MVP and same thing - no music, no error.
Do you have any idea whay it might be?
I'm happy to post full logs if you think that may help but as I say, there are no errors listed - I even tunred on stupid logging - still nothing.

  IR Blaster with HD PVR problem
Posted by: woolooloo - 2009-02-11, 10:12 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I've seen the same problem that others have had using the IR blaster that comes with the HD PVR:

http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=38747&page=2

Disabling the IR Blaster makes it record, I just can't change channels then. Before I go and find another solution requiring more hardware, I'd like to see if this can be solved.

I can sit all day and type "haupblast ###" and have it change the channel without any problems. I can also record without changing the channel. It only seems to be a problem when GBPVR tries to change the channel AND start a recording. After that happens, the IR Blaster config utility says there is no hardware, and of course the recording doesn't work, so it seems to be getting completely hosed. To me this seems like there needs to be some sort of delay (or a longer delay if there already is one) between the call to haupblast and the call to start the recording. Is there some way for me to manually insert a delay between them to test this out?

I'm running 1.3.11 and I've attached my logs.

  To Sub- Compro S500 bda ini
Posted by: DanielP - 2009-02-11, 09:49 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (2)

Hi,

I've just got a Compro S500 USB DVB-S box. Seems to work Ok with the following BDA entry-

[VideoMate S500 Digital Device]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-S
SUPPORTS_BDA_DISEQC=3
FILTER_TUNER=VideoMate S500 DTV Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=VideoMate S500 Digital Video
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2-Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2-Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2-Transport

The DISEQC entry is bound to be rubbish, unless you have had time to work out their secret ;-)

I get a "no signal found" type error if I try BBCHD. It could be timing out, though it's not a major problem for me at the mo.

I have had to return two S350s, which died, but I still seem strangely drawn to Compro ;-)

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer

Any ideas how to remedy that?

Also does this plugin handle multifile movies at all (i.e. Movie CD1.avi, Movie CD2.avi, etc)?

Thanks for any help!

I find it rather frustrating that the application overrides Windows screensavers but have been rebuffed on that one so will drop it.

But, what I now find rather annoying with the latest version is, when the application is run, it overrides the on screen keyboard.

Now I do not have a keyboard connected to this machine as I simply do not want one in my living room so, if I need to change the aspect ratio for a movie, I exit, run on screen keyboard then change the ratio using F7.

It never did this in previous versions.

Is there any way to disable this?
