I am wondering if it is possible to get the signal strength to show up in the Kodi UI with NextPVR?

Currently, it does not...I can see, in my logs, signal strength and quality are there at the NextPVR end of things (e.g. below, strength -16, quality 25)...but clearly they don't make it to the Kodi UI (Matrix 19.4, have checked in both Estuary and Confluence, both show 0 for both the SNR/Signal Strength fields).

Hardware at the server end is a Win10 machine with a Hauppage twin tuner thing in it.  Clients are ODroid N2 machines running latest CoreElec (19.5rc1), or Win10 running Kodi 19.4)

Thanks to work of user @ceejayemm there is now a wiki to go along with the NextTool utility.   This utility has been around for a while first as NextImport and then NextTool, but I never got around to an official release until now.  It certainly helps @ceejayemm also went through the extra effort of testing the app since a few things have changed along the way

Main functions

- imports video files from disk as recording, based on filename bringing in metadata if available from NFO and some XML files.
- imports video files from other PVR apps (TVHeadend, embedded WMC, SageTV, TVMosaic, SiliconDust DVR, Emby and NextPVR backups)
- manages media/shows artwork

I've just downloaded and installed the latest version of NPVR, (see Thread Subject for details), and I've found that the former NPVR Desktop Client opens in the browser, and the NPVR menu icon no longer appears in the System Tray.

Is anybody else experiencing this?

Also, I have all the LAV filters installed, but neither the NPVR Browser Application nor the "Desktop Client" will play Live TV.

Previous NPVR versions would recognise the LAV filters, but this version doesn't seem to.

Any suggestions?

I had an epg.xml file that never seemed to load so I deleted all devices and tried starting again. 

When I go to settings > about and try to reload the guide data the problematic source says 

"[http://problematic/source/epg.xml] object reference not set to an instance of an object"

Not sure why this is happening with one source. No matter what I do this is what I keep getting.

when I add an IPTV channel list, I see there is a "max connections" setting. 

Is this setting for how many simultaneous streams NextPVR will run from that source? I thought maybe I could save some resources if I set it lower but not too sure what it does.

I was wondering what the "enable direct streams" option does in Kodi client. 

I thought it might take Server CPU Use down but seems to have no effect.

while adding IPTV Lists....

If I add the same m3u8 list twice then the channel appears twice to the client. I read that this was necessary to get two streams from the same playlist.

I read somewhere not to re-enter the xml guide data but no matter what I do the channel appears twice. 

I do not want the channels of the list to appear twice but need all channels of the list to be available to two (or more) client devices simultaneously, with only a single appearance of the channel.

What am I doing wrong? I think NextPVR is my last hope I have tried many PVRs over the last weeks and they all seem so buggy.

I hope this one can work.

My internet provider has an IPTV service, but you need to use their Android set-top box (that uses a bluetooth remote).

Has anyone connected this type of service to NextPvr?  I think I could figure out how to capture the HDMI signal in NextPVR but I'm not sure how I would control the box.

Can someone help?
I have installed NextPVR and tried to login through admin/password.
But I receive error message "Login failed'.

Not sure if this is the right place for this. I'm using another well known software for recording but not working out too well.
Does this NextPVR record input from a IPTV?
