I would like to see, or haven't found an answer to, stopping a recording in progress while changing channels in Live TV (if you only have on capture card0.
Currently, you have to exit Live TV and go to recordings, select the pending recording and cancel it. IMO, that's a lot of clicking. It would be nice to have an option, when selecting Live TV, to...
1. Watch Recording Channel
2. Go to Main Menu
3. Cancel current recording
I was playing around with the Community Skin earlier today, but decided to return to slick. However, no matter what settings I changed in config GBPVR still displayed Community Skin. Trying to change the skin from within GBPVR caused a lock up.
To try and fix this I uninstalled, restarted, deleted the entire devnz directory, restarted, and reinstalled.
Still it displayed the community skin (!) but gave errors when I opened any menu items. I looked in the logs and the errors were because files were missing, so I've reinstalled the Community Skin.
I've now got it to the point where I can have my skin whatever I want, but the program doesn't function. I dumped in my backed up config.xml file and my gbpvr.db3 file, but it doesn't recognise my EPG data (even after a reload) or any of my existing recordings.
I've got some saved searches & auto records using national characters for example "Pedro Almodóvar" or "Männerfreundschaft" that are not being executed.
It seems that EWA does not properly handle searching for such characters, or there's another issue deeper in the database.
I can offer remote access to my GBPVR for testing.
My firewall has popped up a couple of times in the last day or so saying that the recordingservice is wanting to call outside.
This seems to happen mainly (only??) after config has run - ah no, it call two outside addresses if I stop and restart the RS from the tray icon 84.53.174.25, port 80 and 84.53.174.16, port 80
These seem to be Akamai who serve for a lot of people.
It is only doing it on one machine and not my main server I've run various virus and bot scan with no difference. I've done a repair install of gbpvr and just the same.
The only thing that has changed recently is that I have had to install NET 3.5 so I'm wondering if this is upsetting things?
Ever since updating my system from Analogue to DVB-T this has been one thing I've sorely missed. With my old analogue codecs if the audio was only stereo it output it through the front and rear speakers. With Monogram I'm only EVER getting Audio from the front speakers. So my questions are:
1) - Is ANYTHING on Freeview actually broadcast in 5.1 surround???
2) - Do the remix settings in the Monogram decoder settings actually do anything for anyone else? (Is it like the PowerDVD Decoders where the settings there get saved in the registry against CONFIG.EXE and have to be renamed???)
I suppose I could remap my speakers to swap front and read or maybe it will let me make both ports front as I prefer using the rear speakers as we can hear better without having the volume as high and waking the kids but it would be nice to know whether anyone else is getting 5.1 from Freeview in New Zealand.
I need to uninstall Music Library, whats the best way to do this?
What files do I need to nuke?
I just looked through the wiki plugins section and noticed that none of the plugins have a "how to uninstall" I'm not volunteering but I wonder if each plugin should have this added?
I've just installed 1.3.11 and now my plugin doesn't get started (added to the main menu), whereas 5 mins ago it did!

I installed GBPVR for the first time last night and it was painless. The main problem I have so far is absolutely no sound on DVB-T, except on TV3.
Because this is not a TV3 problem I'm guessing it's an MPEG2 audio decoder problem. :confused:
I've searched and can't see anything that clearly is about my problem in the Wiki or the forums, although I wonder if I have to re-register a decoder to get sound working.
I've tried the range of decoders offered in the Playback tab in config but no joy.
I have the XP Decoder Checkup Utility and it's very interesting but I'm not sure where to go from there.
With the "don't record duplicates" option checked, how long does gb-pvr remember past shows? I originally thought (assumed?) that it would only know about those shows currently recorded, but lately I've discovered it not scheduling some shows that aren't currently on the drive. I don't doubt they did record at some point in the past, so I'm guessing then that gb-pvr is remembering that the show was recorded before even though it's cycled off the drive already.
