Blasting Commands to STB (Hughes HIRD-E1)
Posted by: gbradshaw - 2009-01-19, 03:57 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Hi, I'm new to all this and am trying to get my PVR set up under WinXP Pro 32-bit. I'm getting rather frustrated and, before I go out and buy an MCE remote or use another blaster-type program, I thought that there may be something I'm missing and wanted to get your input.

My capture card is the Hauppauge WinTV 1800-MCE, which came with the IR receiver, blaster, and an MCE clone remote (RRS9002-86XXF).

I'm using the IR Server Suite, the 1.4.2 version, and irblast.exe is set under ".exe Channel Changer".

My STB is a Hughes (DirecTV) HIRD-E1.

I'm having trouble blasting commands to my STB to change the channels. They change in GBPVR just fine, but are not registering the output on the STB.

  Update EPG skips target lineup
Posted by: Dakota - 2009-01-19, 03:56 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

I have a HVR2250 installed. I had everything pretty much working. Both analog tuners and both digital tuners. But I had this one extra unnamed channel I couldn't get rid of. So finally I moved gbpvr.db3 and reloaded GBPVR. Then I reinstalled the analog capture sources. Now Update EPG from an analog capture source shows no analog channels. I looked at the log and discovered that it is skipping over the analog listing from Schedules Direct. I have one digital tuner installed first and the Update EPG works fine for that tuner. I have two listings configured in Schedules Direct. Any clues why update EPG would skip over the analog listing?

Installation error: The folder path 'swe_h?by-02.ini' contains an invalid character.
Posted by: sun4384 - 2009-01-19, 01:59 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

When installing the 1.3.11 version, I encountered an installation error as described in the title. I'm using a Korean version of Windows XP, which I suspect is the reason for the error. Any idea how to circumvent the error?

  Vidimport - I'm getting duplicates.
Posted by: martint123 - 2009-01-19, 12:47 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (8)

I've been giving vidimport a go these last couple of days to help find orphaned recordings. However I find that it seems to find all recordings rather than ignoring those already in the exports file. So an import creates masses of duplicates.

When I come to import the newly created file with gbpvr config then all the recordings are imported. Attached is my batch file, dump files and log.
The only slight oddity to me is the upped and lower case drive letter - I'm not sure what sub uses in his import routine to say what is a new file or not.

If I import and export to get a new recordings file from gbpvr and run vidimport again, it spots teh new entries as duplicates and no more are imported.

  XBOX 360 controller
Posted by: tonydotigr85 - 2009-01-19, 12:47 PM - Forum: GameZone - Replies (1)

Does anyone use the XBOX 360 controller? I'd like to use just one gamepad for everything ... just curious if this is a possibility. Right now I'm using the Gravis Gamepad Pro.

Thanks!!!

v1.3.7 Selecting TV Guide triggers:- Unexpected: System.DivideByZeroException
Posted by: bok - 2009-01-19, 08:28 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Over the weekend I started evaluating software PVR options for an HTPC build and as such I am a first time gb-pvr user. I had gb-pvr 1.3.7 up and running fine on a winXP SP3 but ran into a problem with same version of gb-pvr on Windows Vista + SP1. I used the same hauppauge pvr150 capture card in both cases.

First up I installed gb-pvr 1.3.7 on an old unused desktop box (1GHz PIII with 1GB RAM) running WinXP SP3. After configuring an EPG for the PVR150 using the XMLTV plugin I was able to point it at downloaded copies of the EPG xml files downloaded from http://epg.pvr.geek.nz/epg/ and the gb-pvr TV Guide functioned as expected/

Later I moved the PVR150 to a newer desktop box running Vista Ultimate x86 with SP1. After installing the same version of gb-pvr (1.3.7) and with pretty much the same gb-pvr configuration (as far as what I entered via the config UI) selecting TV Guide failed to render and the following 'divide by zero' exception was logged in the PVRX2.exe.log

I will attach a zipped copy of the logs and config.xml file. Can anyone help with this?

I started sober got drunker as the hours went by, but couldn't find it in the wiki, which is how I set it up before, so feel free to flame, please do flame me for being drunk, but if you could, could you point me to the right forum page with the right setup guide... this is drunken begging, please don't deny me.. . I hate myself already cause from what I remember it is set up right, but I can't get any pic... I'm a pathetic drunk, please help Wink

  settings menu list box

The format of the settings menu looks like a list with two columns which I want to use for Burndvdx2. Is there an easy way to get text right and left justified in a list?

  Lockup on Channel change
Posted by: Raymond2 - 2009-01-19, 05:06 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (15)

I can't surf. It will lock up on the 2nd or third channel change usually while watching live tv. When it doesn't lock up it just sits at a blank black screen but in this scenerio I can still change the channel but then it will lock up.

Windows XP pro all patches. GBPVR 1.3.11 updated today. I downloaded the latest drivers and software from the Avermedia web site. The hardware is a ASRock A780GXE with a Quad core Phenom with 4 gig of RAM with a 1TB drive for video storage. Radeon HIS HD4650 for a video card. Let me know if I missed something you care about.

Logs attached.
