I must have done something wrong but I installed 1.3.11 over the .7 and then paused live tv would not start back. I dont think it was creating the temp file. I removed it completly and went back to .7 and it is working again. I will try again tomorrow after a uninstall and put .11 and see if just messed up the first time.
I have uninstalled the .7 and installed the .11 and the problem still exists. Live tv not resume from pause. I can see the HDD writing the data.
I figured out that I can only record with GBPVR if I am the administrator (XPSP2)
I can confirm that (as a regular user) it just ignores it if I go
recordings / manual record / record (Capture stus: sleeping - nothing in Pending)
Thought i was going crazy.... signed in as admin and voila - if I repeat the same i am in business.....
As I dont really want to run this as admin, what should I change (rights-wise) to fix this?
I've got something very weird going on with the graphs produced by GBPVR when watching H264 content, the lastgraph.grf files crash graphedit (although when watching SD mpeg2 channels they are fine) and in the logs the filters in use just look weird. Attached are some grf files and pvrx2 logs from when:
CoreAVC set in config as the H264 decoder - seem to get one video decoder, two audio decoders and lots of rubbish
MPC-video set in config as the H264 decoder - seem to get two video decoders and I'm convinced it's using CoreAVC regardless of what the logs say, and two audio decoders and a lot of other rubblish - I get the same when I use ffdshow for video too, it actually still seems to use CoreAVC (or if removed, PDVD8, or if also removed I get a blank screen).
When in use, I've used ffdshow (either audio or video) to look at the filters in use and it seems that it's always CoreAVC connected to EVR (despite what the gbpvr logs might imply) and not MPC Video or ffdshow video when I try to use them.
The final graph was produced by graphstudio for playing back the same .ts file (recorded by GBPVR), which is perfectly normal. One video decoder, one audio decoder and no messing about, so something in GBPVR or some other filter not used by graph studio is causing a right mess. I have no idea how to troubleshoot further as I cant load the graph files from gbpvr as both graphedit and graphstudio crash. I appreciate this is probably not a GBPVR issue, but since MPC plays the files flawlessly when using other filters as does graphstudio, something odd is going on. I dont get the same mess when playing bluray files back from the Movie Library plug in. It uses the MPC mux, MPC video and ffdshow audio and everything works perfectly. This all happened on 1.3.7 and after upgrading to 1.3.11

I just upgraded to the latest version of the dll and now I have an issue leaving the WizUiButtonList.
Previously ( I think) if you hit the down arrow when you were at the bottom of the list that key would be passed on to:

Now I don't get the down arrow keypress when I am at the bottom of the list which I assume means you handle it in the buttonlist where previously you did not.
Was this change intentional?
I am only using Over the air High Definition Channels and they all have over 90 signal strength.
I have Windows Media Center for XP SP3
My computer is a AMD 3800
2 GB memory
ATI X1300 Video Card
1. I first tried Windows Media Center for XP and I am on SP3. It detected all the channels just fine for HD. I have found three major issues with it though.
a. No sound on my HD channels. (this was finally fixed magically somehow after I install a trial version of BeyondTV)
b. Random crashes of Media Center after just a few minutes or anytime doing multi tasking within XP. (this could be many reasons though as I never have used Media Center before)
c. Sometime the video is choppy and only a reboot seemed to fix the problem. I know speed can't be the issue and this was watching live TV and seems in my opinion to be more caused by the hardware encoding.
2. WinTV. Everything seems to work great in this program such as the video is great looking and I get sound. The problem with this program is it only detects one HDTV channel and I can tell you my signal strength with my outdoor on the roof antena for all the channels is around 92-98. I also received all the channels in Media Center as well as BeyondTV
3. BeyondTV works flawlessly and installing this program fixed my Media Center sound.
I also had been debating on going to 32 vista ultimate and upon upgrading to vista it turns out that windows will not boot past the microsoft logo (The part that loads almost immediately before windows) and it just hangs. I remove the card and it booted great and I configured my system the way I wanted to and put the card back in and still won't boot past the logo screen.
I have decided I like Vista so plan on keeping it. Any ideas?
I am going to put this in my other machine which is XP SP3 not media edition and see if it works any better.
I have a problem in skiptool where I can no longer get over to the right hand sign of the screen to navigate to a folder. (i'm using this primarily with a remote on the MVP). On my computer I can click on the folder navigation pane and it works, but can't move right and left with the remote (or arrow keys). I think this started when I updated to the latest MovieWiz? Has anyone else seen this?
As instructed I ran filtercheck and here are the results
Can anyone help me get my kworld card to work. Complete Newbie here.

As some of you may know, my wife and I moved to Indonesia about two years ago. This forced me to shelve my GBPVR box since it just wasn't practical to transition it over. Now that we are back in the US, the wife's first request was "I want you to build that Tivo thing we had before we left!" :eek:
So here comes my dilemma. I've kept up with hardware trends (relevant to the US anyway) but even with all the new options it seems like recording digital cable is still a PITA. After 24 months, are we still limited to IR Blasters and jury rigged software configs? I'm almost at the point of considering a cable card and a TiVo subscription but I hate the thought of having to pay subscription fees... Do you guys have any suggestions?
