  Minor Client Issue With Config
Posted by: mototom - 2009-01-11, 08:34 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

My searches have not shown this to be an issue for anyone else. And it's not a big one for me either but I am curious ...

Yesterday I installed two client instances of 1.3.7. After I loaded the CCCP codecs all went quite well, thank you. I can now share recorded programming with my wife very easily.

Now the minor issue: I went back into Config a couple of time on both clients to fix minor issues and on both machine, I get a series of "install" screens with "configuration" messages. It looks just like and installation or a removal process. After about 2 minutes the Config screen shows up and works just fine.

Is this normal?

TIA.

  HD Playback timeline wildly inaccurate
Posted by: neil... - 2009-01-11, 07:22 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (9)

Hi

I remember reading something about this, but cannot find it again now.

When I playback an HD recording the timeline is out by a multiple of approx 6x. (SD recordings show the correct time.)

The recording I took this screenshot from is about 1h 3 m, not 6h 29m.

It plays at the right speed and the only noticeable issue is with skip forward/backwards, which for obvious reasons skip a much shorter time than they should.

Any ideas? Is it something perculiar to me, or is this something others?

Thanks

  A few minor bugs
Posted by: pvrnewb - 2009-01-11, 07:15 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Sub,

This is just a few minor bugs that I figured you would want to know so you have something to do when you have some free time Big Grin

1) Empty directory
If either the video directory or music directory is empty it is not possible to exit from the plugin if selected.

2) TV Guide display
If you go to the Guide at forexample 8 pm and scroll ahead 2 hours then exits, the next time you enter the Guide it will show 8 pm in the header but the shows listed are those of 10pm. It will reverse to normal once you scroll to a new time.

3) Using the slick skin scrolling forward ( to the right) is fine but scrolling backwards makes the left most items flicker.

Working with Hauppauge 1800 ir Blaster
Posted by: dchody - 2009-01-11, 06:50 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (1)

The ir blaster that came with my 1800 card is eaily controlable in Windows MCE (running on Vista, 32-bit). However, after following the instructions for confisguring this blaster to work with GB-PVR (selecting the Haupblaste.exe file in configuration) I get an error about a missing HCWirblast.dll. This file didn't come with the drivers from Hauppauge (and I've installed the latest from them). Anyone else run into this?

  Display upload speed
Posted by: AmericanSlon - 2009-01-11, 06:37 PM - Forum: Torrent - Replies (2)

Hi I was wondering if it's possible to display upload speed right next to download speed.
For some of us knowing our upload speed at all times is just as important as the download speed.
Thanks for a great plug in!

  Slow sound on TS files
Posted by: Bobins - 2009-01-11, 06:09 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

I'm in the process of building a new GBPVR machine and want to try Vista and TS multi-recording.

Installed Vista Ultimate 32bit added all latest Microsoft updates. Installed vcredist from this site and applied "survival" patches. Installed Pinnacle 7010ix tuner and drivers (shows up as a BlackGold in config). Installed PowerCinemav5 (which came with the tuner).

Set to record TS in config and configured and scanned channels.

Recorded a programme. Tried to playback on PC. Video is fine but sound is in slow motion and deep. Tried to playback on MVP, sound is at right speed but out of sync. If I press FFW the video jumps a few seconds forward and the sound goes into sync.

If I transcode the file to mpg sound is fine.

I've seen a couple of threads regarding slow sound but they seem to refer to MPA being installed or changes to an AC3 filter. I've not got an AC3 filter installed.

Questions:-
Should I have an AC3 filter or MPA installed installed?
Is the TS file being transcoded when sent to the MVP? If so, can I disable it (how?)?
Conversley, if the TS file is not being transcoded "on the fly", can I set it to do that when being sent to the MVP?

I'm assuming the file isn't being transcoded for the MVP as the FFW doesn't work.

I've attached a log of a file playing with the slow sound.

Schedules Direct and 1.3.7 why is it so unstable?
Posted by: pvrnewb - 2009-01-11, 05:36 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (9)

Happy late new year everone!

I have been using GBPVR v.. 97.13 for a while and although it had its problems nothing was bad enough for me to switch.
However as I ran out of space and needed to update my drive I decided to upgrade to 1.3.7.
The upgrade went smoothly as soon as I uninstalled the old version (thank you Sub).
I have recently moved to schedules direct as I got annoyed with the constant updates I had to do to my custom scraper, and didn't think it would be a problem when upgrading to the new version of GBPVR.
Unfortunately there seems to be some problems between the 2. I'm using i-xmltv which as meantioned worked fine on 97.13
What I experience now is that in the about 10 days I have had 1.3.7 i have had to manually reload the epg 3 times.
First time I noticed that there were no data in the guide so i went out and ran the upgrade from the config tool.
The second time I figured I would use the integrated tool however that didnt work so I once again went to the config tool.
Third time (today) there were data in the guide but I couldn't start a show until I had reloaded the epg (again from the config tool)
Any ideas into why this is happening would be helpful (even if you tell me to go back to my own custom scaper)
So to summarize the auto loader of epg doesn't always work in 1.3.7

Thanks

PS I noticed a couple of minor bugs in 1.3.7 where do I report those?

  Movie Wiz Buttons Reversed?
Posted by: LewE - 2009-01-11, 03:47 PM - Forum: SearchWiz & MovieWiz - Replies (8)

I've just started experimenting with Movie Wiz.

One thing I noticed is that in the screen where it shows the current filter there are Left and Right arrows to the right of the filter name (implying that to get the next filter I should use the Left/Right keys on my keyboard or remote). The program works the opposite and requirtes an Up/Down key to see the next filter and Left/Right to drop down to the list of programs.

The consistent use of the keys would be to use the Left/Right to cycle between the different filters and Up/Down to drop down to the list of programs found by that filter.
