  EPG Guide not updating
Posted by: mcragoe - 2022-04-09, 04:26 PM - Forum: Linux - Replies (15)

My TV Guide is not updating completely, I don’t have any guide listings starting on April 18, 2022. It shows no listing from that date on. I am using schedules direct OTA and when looking in settings, channels, I see Schedules Direct as the EPG Source. I just did a new bare metal Linux Mint install on April 04, 2022 and it seems like the guide updated when I first installed NextPVR, but it is not updating now. I have tried to manually update the EPG without success and I have also deleted and added the sources and updated the EPG with the same results.

Thank you,

Mike

  Filter What's New
Posted by: artmetz - 2022-04-08, 07:23 PM - Forum: Windows - Replies (4)

2 minor issues:
Under "Classic" mode, while in the "What's New" list, if I choose filter, the caption of the dialog says "Archive Target Folder" instead (screen shot attached)
Choosing my Local filter (d:\nextpvr) does nothing, all other recordings still appear in the list.
Let me know if you need logs...

  cannot delete an epg source
Posted by: costinr - 2022-04-08, 09:42 AM - Forum: Windows - Replies (4)

Hi,

I've deleted an epg source url (from web inteface guide/epg sources) but when trying to update the epg sources (from about/update epg) it still try to find and update the deleted epg source.

I've stopped/started the nextpvr service and surprise: the deleted epg source reappears in the list of epg sources.

Please help.

Thanks,

  Strange 'log' file ?
Posted by: ceejayemm - 2022-04-08, 09:11 AM - Forum: Linux - Replies (1)

NextPVR v5.2.6.220206

Lets start by saying I am not sure if this is a problem or not.

While researching another topic happened to find myself in the '/var/opt/nextpvr' folder where I came across a file called 'logs\transcode.txt' (attached). It seems to date from March 4th 2022 but doesn't seem to have been updated since then.  I am not sure where it came from or what created it - seems related to transcoding but I don't knowingly use transcoding.

Does it tell me anything useful ? Is it important and if not can I get rid of it ?

Thanks

Chris

  Aborted action
Posted by: Brucek2839 - 2022-04-07, 10:28 PM - Forum: Windows - Replies (4)

Hello,
Recently I encountered an unable to open aborted action message a few times while tryin to open some channels.  They were WLS WBBM WMAQ channels at around 5:05 PM EST and then got a dreaded white box with a red X in it.  The white box with the red X was at about 6:06 PM EST.  I would like to know if the unable to open was a cause of my channels provider or was it within NextPVR.
As always Thank you,
Bruce

NextPVR on Armbian missing a few channels
Posted by: billybo8 - 2022-04-07, 03:50 PM - Forum: Linux - Replies (3)

I have a dedicated Beelink Android MiniMX iii v2 with 2G RAM running Armbian with a manual install of NextPVR and everything seems to work really nicely.

I have an XBOX TV Tuner installed and tuned to UK WhitehawkHill transmitter. It is line of sight and good signal.

Frustratingly I am missing a few odd channels from a couple of mulitplexes. Quest, Quest +1 are two I can think of. The original channels lists for Whitehawk were completely out of date so I made my own channel list from the current information on the UKTVfree website. The text is shown below. I have tried every aerial in my loft and on my roof. I have several to save splitting the signal. Nothing changes the total of 79 channels discovered. I have also tried another DVB-T tuner without DVB-T2 and it just finds the same non-HD subset of channels.

I have looked at the logs while tuning and there are no errors. Does anyone have any ideas for anything I could try to fill in the missing channels please? Is there any way of doing a full scan in case my file is to blame?

Problems with channels on same mux
Posted by: something_fishy - 2022-04-07, 09:36 AM - Forum: Linux - Replies (6)

I am using the npvr docker (on Unraid) with a Megasat MEG-8000 SatIP server.

If I request recordings of two channels on the same mux the second channel knocks off the first (ie the first record is terminated with a stop time equal to the time the second program record starts, the first program is unhighlighted in the web program guide, however npvr still gives me a "cancel record" option on the first program).

Tested in the attached logs with BBC2 HD and CBBC HD.

The same hardware will pull two channels off the same mux in TVheadend and dynamically takes a second physical tuner if needed. Npvr has no problem with two simultaneous records on different frequencies.

Thanks

Eric

Jerky Playback on some commercials and most shows
Posted by: RazorRust - 2022-04-07, 07:10 AM - Forum: Windows - Replies (7)

Windows 10
NextPVR v5
WinTV-HVR-955Q
LAV Filters

I get jerky playback on most shows. Then it will go to commercial and play great. Then the next commercial might be jerky. It's like some commercials and shows are too high quality or too high frame rate and the tuner or something is struggling.

The issue is the same in the web app, desktop app, vlc, and kodi.

Are there any settings I can try? Is there a way to troubleshoot this?

Thanks.

  Archive Feature Access
Posted by: magiver01 - 2022-04-07, 05:35 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (5)

Hello, I would like to request added a way to call the built in archive feature in V5 from a website url or cmd line and/or in the Kodi plugin if possible.

Thank you
