What is a good current XMLTV enhancer to be used now that ultraxmltv is no longer being updated? There are a few on the wiki, but some don't look exactly up to date so I wasn't sure.
Hey folks, I was wondering if there was a way to close the inset from the main menu. I don't want to disable it completely. Right now I have to hit home to go to full screen, then use the back button. It'd be nice if just hitting "stop" in the main menu would turn it off, like it does when music is playing.
Here's another thing: I use WinDVD to play back DVDs and I've set it up as a plugin. Is it possible to map a key to this plugin?
Just got the PH but it's still in the box until I have time to set it up so I'll go ahead and start the first of many stupid questions. Can you use both the GBPVR interface and the native PH interface? Not at the same time of course but switch back and forth easily?
I ask because one might be easier for the boss to use (and mess up) as well as anyone else who may touch my toys when I'm not around.
I have successfully managed to add a number of DVB channels to my set-up. I am trying to use the DVB EPG Broadcast, but I do not get any EPG information into GB-PVR. From the attached config.log, it does indeed seem as if something goes wrong.
Just loaded a new system and everything is working OK except that the 3D effects in the GB menu are extremely slow. (The selected menu text grows out very slow). By accident, we discovered that the menu returns to normal speed if a USB flash drive is plugged in, even if its blank.
The hardware is an Intel DG45ID motherboard with integrated video, an 8400 CPU and 4GB memory. Its running X2 v1.3.7 on XP Pro SP3 with latest bios and drivers. No capture boards are installed. Its being used for HD playback, which works fine. We replicated the SW on an old P4 2400 and don't have this problem.
We can't find any reason for this behavior and don't see any connection to the USB ports.
Sub, I bit the bullet this past weekend, and installed Win7 Beta build 6936. The built-in support for hybrid tuner cards like the 2250 is amazing. I know GBPVR is capable of having this same hybrid tuner support.
After installing and assigning tv guides, it scanned for clear QAM and reported back it didn't find any channels. BUT, there is this neat piece of the tuner setup that lets me add channels (such as 86.3), name it, and tell it which other channel to pull it's listings from. It works SO SWEET! It pulls in every channel I added manually (over 20!) Why can't GBPVR have the ability to add a channel, name it, and map it to the listings for another channel (the Analog versioin)? I know you stated that there is lots more info that needs to be added instead of just the channel number, but it seems MS has found a way to either not require it, or they have a database of the extra info, or something!?
Hello, i have a strange problem. pvrx2 doesn't seem to add channels to the list. but i do have a good signal and i can see them in the preview, this occurs with both DVB-S (SkyStar HD) and DVB-T (HVR 1100). I'm running vista with all driver up to date. I got no problem scanning channels with other applications like dvbdream and dvbviewer. Can some point me in the right direction?
My question is, has anybody looked into the points mentioned here in regards to GBPVR? Specifically, does the MPC-HC filters help PVRX2 and/or MVC/PCH clients?
