Hi does anyone have a working hip config on Vista 32 bit for cable box using HP version of MCE remote? I halfway had IR Server working but could not get number entry to work.
This is a picture of the remote if this helps. It has the little square box that connects to usb and has an entry in devices for HID and USB.
All of a sudden when I load config, gbpvr tries to reinstall itself, is there a way to fix this ? All I did was install tv listings when this happened......
I created a couple of Custom tasks in config, using powercfg to switch between two power schemes - one to turn standby/hibernate off, the other to turn it back on.
It works a treat run from the server but doesn't appear to be actioned if run from the PCH. (I can't be 100% sure, but I thought it did work from MVP).
Is this expected behaviour ? If not what could I be doing wrong as it works from the server menu.
I am just curious about this, because unless you have special MBs with 500 pci slots lol, there wouldn't be the room for them!
You hear people talk about having 3, 4, + tuners and it just made me think "how??" Are these people using USB based tuner systems?
I'm using (granted) an older PC. AMD 1.8 Ghz 3000+ chip on an ASUS P8V E-SE (I think it is) board. I've got an AGP video card, my Hauppauge card, a promise SATA card, (because the MB only has 2 sata ports), and an sound blaster card in there. I am out of slots... haha.
So how do you "recording/watching enthusiasts" do it"?
I have an HDHR which obviously has 2 tuners.
0 is connected to ATSC OTA
1 is connected to cable/clear QAM
I am trying to do a seasonal recording of 2 different shows on 2 different channels that overlap, but I am getting conflicts in my pending recordings.
When searching the guide for the shows, the shows that are available on both tuners at the same time show up twice in the search list. I assume this is a good thing (but it would be nice if there was some indication of which tuner was which selection).
I have tried picking the first listing for 1 show, and the second listing for the other show, but I'm still getting a conflict.
The channel guide only shows 1 of the available mapped channels. ie, if I have an ABCDT on both tuners, only 1 listing shows up in the channel guide.
Why isn't the seasonal scheduler able to see that there are 2 tuners available and resolve the conflict?
Am I doing this wrong in the mapping part of things? If I have 2 duplicate channels, should I be naming the second one something slightly different?
When I use the SkinHelper2.getNamedImage() to build an Image object from a text-bearing CompositeImage, I occasionally have text in the parameters that generates a clipped image (i.e. it goes off the end or is wrapped to two lines).
Is there a way to determine what the "natural" (unclipped) size of the DrawText element would be (for prescaling or pre-render text editing)?
I am going to be signing up for Directv next week. I am still going to be using GBPVR with this. So I want 2 STB hooked to the HTPC, so my question is. Has anyone had the installers put 2 boxes in the same location? I'm just wondering if they are weird about doing this or not.
I've searched the forums, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to be repeating a much asked question, but are there any known ways to eliminate screen tearing without resorting to FSE?
My ATI 9550 (R.I.P) never had any issues with VMR9 custom or EVR but the (I thought comparable) nVidia 5500 I got as a replacement refuses to handle live or recorded video nicely with anything but FSE regardless of decoder choice and setting.
I seen several mentions of using older nVidia drivers but can anyone confirm a 'good' revision, and where to download it from?
