I've installed GBPVR and all seems to work OK apart from the following:
1. When setting up the channels on my Hauppauge HVR 1300 the program throws an error when tuning the last set of channels. Doesn't seem to cause any problems, I'll try the patch posted on the sticky or just add them manually.
2. When watching a recorded .dvr-ms file things seem a little unstable. If I pause playback and then resume, the sound carries on, but the picture is frozen. Stopping and re-starting sorts things, but playback starts from the beginning again. Example log file attached.
3. When playing a recorded .ts file I do not get any audio. If I pause playback, then PVRX2 locks completely. Windows Task Manager shows it as not responding and I have to end the task. Example log file attached.
Both the .dvr-ms file and the .ts file play (and pause) fine when played in WMP11 and this has no problems with the audio either.
I've searched the forums and there does not seem to be anyone with the same issue, so I'm guessing I'm just being stupid. Any help appreciated, as I've ran out of ideas.
I am running Windows XP home edition, using Beyond TV, Firefly Remote, and a wireless keyboard and mouse. I also use a Universal Remote Control (with learning capability) to control my TV, DVD player, Stereo Receiver, and etc.
The Firefly Remote works great but will not wake my computer up from a S3 standby. Currently I use my wireless mouse (2 left clicks), connected to USB port, to wake my computer up and then I have to switch to my URC to turn on my TV and Receiver, then I use my Firefly to control Beyond TV and other software that I use like Power DVD and Media Monkey.
Would a MCE remote and receiver dongle work with my configuration to wake my computer, or must I be running Windows Media Center? Would the MCE remote control Beyond TV and other software?

I know these questions have been asked on this forum in one form or another, but I need to know your current impression of the HD-PVR right now given the current version of the device and driver you are using.
I'm working on a more complete Hauppauge HD-PVR 1212 Review with the focus on using GB-PVR, BeyondTV and SageTV to run it. I've had my own experiences with the device (I have a first generation unit) and have it mostly working for me, but want to hear from others here on their experience.
If you can, tell me a few things about your HD-PVR experience:
1. What version of GBPVR are you using with the HD-PVR?
2. Which version of HD-PVR do you have? (C1, C2 etc)
3. How many HD-PVRs are you using? (1, 2 more)
4. With your current one (if you had to return one, focus on the latest one you have now) do you have lockups?
5. How do you handle channel changes with the HD-PVR? packaged Hauppauge IR blaster, USBUIRT, Firewire, other?
6. With your channel change setup how is it working for you?
7. What driver version are you using?
8. Any other problems you are experiencing now with the HD-PVR?
9. How well is it working on your different PCs? Mention the specs of the playback machine if relevant. Does playback work on the PCH?
10. Tell me your overall, bottom-line impression of your HD-PVR. Hate it, A pain but worth it, like it, love it etc.
I am new to GB-PVR and installing for first time.
After installing .net, C, gbpvr and doing configure the PVRX2 freezes at startup with only the window frame and the desktop background fixed in it.

I'm not familiar with "previous episodes," so what do the results from getPreviousEpisodesIdentifiers() mean? I can assure you that I do not have these episodes in my database (except in the Programmes table). I can also assure you that my Pending Recordings do not include either of these episodes so I'm not sure why these are being skipped.
This isn't an immediate problem since I can schedule them manually, but I'm not always able to catch the missing recordings. My Metalocalypse season recording used to work just fine, and in fact other season recordings continue to work fine.
Can I gain any benefit by deleting my old Metalocalypse season recording and starting anew with a more recent episode?
I attached my recording service log and recording-dump.xml just for fun. Please let me know if I should look at any other log.
watching live tv i can call quick epg with f1 button.. is there a way to customize this "window" (larger epg, more programs and descriptions without pressing enter)? something like tv guide but with live tv in the background? maybe a plugin?
also if i press CTRL+P on a future show (watch reminder), the box turns blue..turn off epg (f1) and turn it on again.. the box isn't blue anymore..
A quick search didn't find this error message, so I thought I post the solution. I'd be surprised if it hasn't already been picked up. Sorry for a double post if it already has.

Solution
Create the folder 'C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\skin.
I wish everything was this simple. I was expecting to have to go to my backups from the old system and copy the complete folder.
I've setup GBPVR, and I can watch Live TV and control the system/change channels with my MCE remote, however when it comes time for GBPVR to change channels to record something, the channels dont change, yet in the logs there is this;

I installed windows media centre TV pack and now my HVR-4000 is no longer recognised by GBPVR.
I have disabled media centre again, but cannot seem to get the card working in GBPVR. I get the attached and following errors.
The analog side of the card is working fine as I can use tuning assist to search for channels.
I have tried uninstalling the drivers using various methods i.e. hwclear.exe, removing the card completely from the computer, reinstalled gbpvr but always get the same error

I start with a problem that, as i can see, is a common issue.
Scanning Hotbird 2,6,7,A8 i found only some channels. For example, i can't find any of the major italian's FTA channels, and i can't find any SkyItalia bouquet channels.
Tried several times some hacks found in this forum, with no luck.
With DVBViewer, Mediaportal, VMC, SageTV, Sceneo, no problems.
Any other chance?
