I put two in a machine running xp sp3 and am using the latest release of GBPVR.
Randomly when starting a recording while not watching the show being recorded, it recordes a blue screen.
Just wondering if this was a common thing, or just my setup.
Bought an LCD TV recently, installed it as a secondary monitor (1360x768 pixels). Of course I use GBPVR on it.
No problem while watching LiveTV, Recordings, not so high resolution videos, but when I try to watch an HD movie, then the video and audio starts to clog. Or cough. Or I actually don't know the english word for it, but the picture jumps every now and then and the audio sounds like an old motorboat engine.
If I watch these movies via MediaPlayer and I put this Mediaplayer to this secondary monitor, go fullscreen, then there is no problem, smooth as it has to be.
I'm pretty sure you will ask the log files and I'll upload them as soon as I can, but probably someone has some idea meanwhile, or have been here.
I'm trying to set up a pc-client but can't get streaming to work. File-share kind'a works but gives a very stuttering pic and sound in live-tv, playback works fine. Don't know if playback of recorded shows work in streaming mode since all recordings are automatically converted to XviD to save space.
On the client, I can access TV-Guide and do all things there, but when I try to start live-tv I get a black screen and PVRX2 hangs with 99% cpu usage on the client. In config I can see the capture sources so it appears to have contact with the server.
Been doing some development on ML3 where I have an album view.
The problem is, with the album view on the All all setting, i can potentially have an extremely large list where it's also trying to load the images for each track.
On my system it fell over at 2000 items with images.
I found i can not load the images and there's no problem.
My question is, if I just wanted to load the album images for the displayed "screen", ie the displayed 1 to 6 images, or on the next page 7 to 12 images.
Is there a way of knowing what the displayed page is? Or some other trick I could use. At the moment I'm potentially looking at the option of if > x number of items, don't display images.
I have read a few articles about programming remote controls but they all seem to be about small parts of the process.
I wonder if anyone could give me a rundown on the basics for programming the remote that came with my hauppague 4000 to work with GB PVr. Even if its just changin it so that the power button turns my TV and computer on and the 'Home' button opens GB PVR.
I have been trying to get a myriad of my old remote controls and IR receivers to work with GBPVR. I had some amazing success with an old X10 remote and an X10 serial receiver.
The remote is the X10 MP3 UR51A, and the receiver is a MR26a. I downloaded the Boom 2000 software from the X10 site. This software works much like HIP but is much simpler as it is made specifically (and only) for X10 remotes.
In Boom 2000, you set up GBPVR as one of the three applications that can be controlled by the software. Then you map keys on the X10 remote to key strokes for GBPVR. That's about it.
One note: you have to open GBPVR from within Boom 2000.

Hey yall. I ran my first DVD through gbpvr a few minutes ago. Unless I'm missing someing in a setting somewhere, I can't control any of the buttons on the dvd menu, but the arrow keys and enter work ok.
Is this like this on purpose? Or is the mouse supposed to be able to click on play movie, trailors, etc. (stuff on the DVD menu)?
Not a big deal, but it would be nice to use the mouse

I have charter cable and motorola digital box with hvr-1950 see all channels and can change with cable remote but not able to get hauppblast to change channel and record right channel. Got desktop interaction set and fix haupp button done. Any ideas?
Hi can a few of you post your AC3Filter settings. Especially if you send SPDIF output to a receiver and also send Stereo (via headphone jack) to your tv.
I've played with mine, and it used to work, but now it doesn't. I used to get AC3 from AVI files going Dolby Digital to my receiver and stereo to me tv.
