Just got the HVR2250 and it shows up in Device manager but it won't install the drivers. Windows tries but fails with a message it can't find drivers (I've tried both the cd, manually and the files off of Hauppague site). When I run setup from the supplied disc, it tells me '"Drivers have NOT been updated. INF file open failed". Reboots have not helped either. I've seen systems not pick up the installed hardware but it does show it being picked up.
Any ideas?
I've looked all through the remote that came with my ATI 650 Combo (USB) and I can't find the brand. Does anyone know what brand it is? If so, does anyone know if it'll work with GB? Thanks in advance for any help...
I have been testing GBPVR on variuos setups from dual core boxes and thin clients with various success but allways had a problem with live tv locking up after a channel change.
The server works really well with live tv and various video formats. When i setup a client i can get everything to work including live tv until i change channel then it locks up. I have used streaming and file share methods but to no avail. I need to use task manager to stop the process. I have looked through this forum to try and identify a fault but seem to hit a wall.
Im running a P4 2.66 Gig server with 2 X nova-t 500, 1 X nova t pci and a pvr150 cards, 1 Gig ram, XP Pro, nvidia GFX and GBPVR version 1.2.13.
Client 2.6 Gig dual core, 2Gig ram, Nvidi gfx, XP pro, Asus max board and 1 Gig LAN.

I really want to get GBPVR working as i have spent 2 weekends, many hours and buckets of coffee trying to adjust and build many different configurations to get it to work stable.
I have tryed many pvr proggys mythtv,LMCE,MCE, mythubuntu etc but all have failed to be stable.
I found the check box in misc settings and turned that on.
Made sure that cc1 was on for my tv, but still don't get cc.
Is there some other setting or file that needs to be tweaked.
Logs say CC enabled.
I was talking to a friend who uses beyond or something and he said he did it. Said it looks much better after the change. I just got a Rev H4 MVP and wondering if this is a good idea or safe?
I often go and clear out videos in the video menu that I have watched or in the cold light of day will never get around to watching.
My anoyance is that I will go down the list and find the first video that I want to delete, I press left to go to the side menu and select delete, then the video list returns to the top of the list, it would be much slicker if it deleted the highlighed video then returned to the list at he one above or below the deleted one.
I have new setup of GB-PVR 1.2.13 with Hauppauge HVR-1800 Pci-e and all went well as for detecting QAM channels, mapping them, using EPG, etc.
I use following settings in GUI Playback config:
LiveTV Fullscreen, 16x9
PVRX2.exe Video Renderer: VMR9 Custom
GBPVR.exe Video Renderer: VMR9
MPEG-2 Playback:
Video Decoder: InterVideo NonCSS Video Decoder for Hauppauge
Audio Decoder: AC3Filter
Audio Renderer: System default
Advanced Codec: all default
My only problem for now is that GB-PVR Live TV sometimes freezes on switching digital channels with keyboard up/down keys (MCE remote is not working with my Xp x64 edition) and after 10-20 secs kicks back to Main screen. Tuning to channel with TV Guide works fine always instantly.
I know there is some fix for switching channels, but it requires modification to some file. Can you please help as I cannot find the solution to my problem. Thanks.
EDIT:
is there any way to switch from windowed LIVETV mdoe into Fullscreen once the app has started? or it's either windows or full as set n Config GUI?
